Fairy Meadow Flowers

It was wonderful working with Isabelle and the Fairy Meadow Flowers team. If you are looking for beautiful, local, and sustainable flowers in CT, this is the perfect florist to work with! We didn't know what flowers we would have for the wedding until the day of the wedding, so you have to be comfortable with it being a surprise but we really wanted locally grown flowers so we were willing to be surprised and everything was beautiful and worked really well with our location and decor! Isabelle sent updates via email with what flowers they were growing at the farm. They provided flower crowns and decorated the archway for our ceremony as well as bouquets and boutonnieres and table bouquets. The ribbons on the bouquets were especially beautiful. Everything felt very personal and we especially liked that the flower vases and flowers were re-used and composted after the wedding.

Isabelle made every aspect of the florals for our wedding a true dream. From the start they were highly professional, caring, deeply creative, accommodating, beautifully communicative, and generally ideal. We had a very loose vision of what we wanted for our wedding flowers, and Isabelle helped us define that by asking clear and thoughtful questions and providing suggestions. Leading up to the wedding, they were in close contact even while handling the demands of running their business and growing all of their flowers locally/sourcing them in a sustainable fashion. We are in awe of all they do!! Our flowers were beautiful and exactly what we wanted, and our guests and families remarked on how much they loved them. The wedding day itself was hot and we had two different venues for the ceremony and then the reception, and needed a bridal bouquet as well as flowers in lots of different places. Isabelle and their team handled this all so wonderfully and skillfully and we were stunned and delighted by each arrangement/bouquet/decoration they put together for the day! As a queer couple with many queer, trans, and non binary friends attending our wedding, it was wonderful for us to know that we were not only supporting a queer-owned and local business but that the vendor involved with such an important part of our big day would be considerate and inclusive of all of our guests and of our own identities. We also had the chance to see Isabelle working at another friend’s wedding and were so impressed not only by the elegance of the florals and design but by how dedicated they were and how kindly they treated and collaborated with their coworkers and employees. Additionally, their pricing was unbelievably fair for the level of quality and professional communication they delivered. We have continued to rely upon Isabelle for arrangements when we’re visiting the New Haven area and the flowers are always strikingly beautiful, attuned to the season, and creative. If you are looking for a florist who will not only make your wedding beautiful but also runs their business in a way that aligns with your values, communicates and works with deep care, and is generally wonderful, then Fairy Meadow Flowers are the ones for you! We would choose them again every single time.

Isabelle and Unison are the most incredible people and florists! Working with them was like working with an old friend. They just knew how to make everything exactly what we were looking for for our July wedding. They even took time to check in with me the morning of and added special touches from the venue to our flowers. Everything came out more wonderful than we could have even hoped for! We cannot recommend them enough!!

There are plenty of places you can go to get your flowers, but how amazing is it to find someone who grows their own, from the ground, locally? What Isabelle offers is truly special, and when I saw the result, I was absolutely thrilled. Isabelle was incredible to work with, and is a true artist. They are flexible, cheerful, and fun, but they also have opinions, which they’ll share if you ask, which is one thing I like in a vendor. We had a big wedding and they did a stunning job on everything, from the aisle arrangements, to the centerpieces, to my bouquet, to the outdoor decor. They even put a little marigold in each of our napkin arrangements and took care of our cake topper. No details was left untouched! Their prices are extremely reasonable in general, but especially considering the fact they grow everything themselves! If you’re into wildflowers, sustainability, and making your flower decisions in collaboration with a super cool person and the actual earth itself, you will be so happy with Isabelle.
