. Gemina was really flexible regarding the makeup and hair trial; she met us at where we were staying in HI and was so easy going, had great conversation, and just made me feel at ease. I loved how my makeup hair/ trial came out, but due to the wind on the Kaneohe side, we made some notes on what I would want different on my actual wedding day; Gemina was so open to my suggestions and critiques, I knew I had to book her right away. Fast forward to our wedding day; I had originally booked her for bride, bridesmaids (2) and mother/ mother in law. Everyone was so happy with our makeup, my sister in laws (2) and aunts asked if they could do their make up as well, we squeezed in a lot of girls in a few hours. Gemina and her staff made it happen and rushed out to their next event. I was so happy with how my make up and everyone’s turned out, very natural with a little pop! Thank You Gemina for making me feel like a princess, and honestly making all my family members feel like a princess that day! Geminis forever ;)

She took her time but her skill set was so efficient. My makeup lasted so well, I felt as beautiful as I had in years, but felt like ME. Above and beyond- Gemina couldn't have been more patient and kind to us. She even gave a touch up kit to stay beautiful all day. I feel like she was a long lost friend. I've already recommended her to other friends and I personally would contact only her for future events- no need to look elsewhere! Gemina, thank you so very much for being there for us. I was so beyond nervous about hiring a hair and makeup artist without getting to meet them in person first. It was such a gamble! Their work would be in our wedding photos and video forever!! However, I was so happy when I met Gemina! She was so cool, calm, and down to Earth. She was just so beyond easy to work with. And oh my gosh does she KNOW how to do hair and makeup!!!! She is amazingly talented! I showed her a couple of pictures of what I was thinking and she went above and beyond anything I could have ever have asked for! I felt absolutely amazing! A few of the bridesmaids and moms got theirs done as well, and they ALL looked stunning! I can't thank Gemina and her team enough!!

a and her assistant did our hair and makeup for my wedding in January and the work is flawless. I had a total of 5 bridesmaids plus myself. She was on time, and assured me the work would be done fast. I love her airbrush technique that lasted well throughout the night with all the humidity in Hawaii. My hair was half up half down and lasted throughout the night, and well into the next day. All my maids chose to do updo's and theirs was perfect the next day as well. I did come out for a trial run in August and I'm glad I did because it made it less worrisome for myself and my 'maids BUT it wasn't necessary. The photos don't lie. gave me tips because I forgot about the humidity factor in Hawaii. She also tried adjusting my hair and makeup to my strapless gown and jewelry. She did my trial for my bachelorette party, and my hair and makeup stayed all night. It never cracked and she really made me look like a model. It was awesome! For some reason, on the day of the wedding, it turned out EVEN better than the trial. Another bonus, was that as soon as we started the hair and makeup, it was like talking to a girlfriend I haven't seen in years! I highly recommend Gemina. She really went the extra mile, making sure to fit in my new sister in law at the last minute due to a scheduling confusion on my husband's family's part. I contacted her shortly before the wedding and she got to the resort a bit early to make sure to fit us all in. My makeup was flawless - I don't usually wear a lot and she make it look natural and beautiful. Since getting our photos back I have gotten a ton of compliments on my hair and makeup. my hair and make-up and I felt beautiful without feeling overdone. We did a practice run the morning of my Bridal Shower (2 days before my wedding). It was just the two of us in my hotel room and it was nice to be pampered and work with her directly on the look I was going for without a lot of distraction. The practice run was helpful in that we talked through and tweaked a few things for the wedding. I was nervous the morning of my wedding. But she had such a calming presence – there was a lot of swirl and commotion with everyone getting ready and people coming in and out. She had a calm, cool vibe and had us laughing with a couple entertaining stories. We even sang along to some random Beyonce songs at one point. Her payment methods, contracts and invoices – everything is done very easily online which made things a breeze. I was also encouraged and inspired by her story. It’s nice to see an independent businesswoman doing something she is obviously so passionate about and gifted at to boot!

Intense traffic held up our appointment, however, Gemina more than made up for it with a complimentary session. She was very professional, listened to my needs and desires, and delivered my dream look for my wedding day. We relocated back to the mainland prior to the wedding due to family issues and had to cancel our plans. In all the vendors we worked with in planning our big day, Gemina, as well as one other vendor, expressed their concern and refunded us the deposit. She was so kind to do this and I will be forever grateful to her. I was deeply saddened that I was unable to use her on my special day and would highly recommend her services to anyone! She arrived right on time for the appointment on my wedding day (even a bit early) and talked through the photo ideas I had brought for the hair and makeup I had in mind. I really appreciated the fact that she clarified what colors I was seeing for the makeup, since interpretations can sometimes vary, or one thing about a style or look is what a person can love about it. She did a perfect job! The hair and makeup both far exceeded my expectations; I could not believe the it – I looked like myself but just enhanced. Everyone loved how their makeup turned out and I was especially happy with my bridal makeup and hair. I had a outdoor beach wedding and it was raining horribly that day but my makeup still managed to stay flawless and amazing. We stayed in contact during the intervening period before my wedding and put in place a contract detailing the services to be provided. Gemina was on time and prepared on my wedding day. She did my mother's and my hair and makeup, and we couldn't have been more impressed. She took what we wanted (including pictures) and included a few of her own flares and suggestions to make our makeup and hair fun, natural and exactly what we wanted on my big day. Having Gemina there that morning was fun and relaxing, and her positive, fun attitude put my wedding stress to ease. I highly recommend Gemina for any events. Thank you for such a wonderful job!

After that, I had some concerns, which I emailed Gemina about. For instance, the false eyelashes irritated my eyes during the trial, I wanted to change some of the color on my eyeshadow, the darkness of the eye liner, the color of the lip gloss. She was so understanding! The day of the wedding, the hairstylist changed due to scheduling, but Monet was awesome! We made some changes to my hair, and it turned out better than what I actually wanted! The two of them worked so quickly and were so friendly that all of the bridal party had a great time getting ready. We felt a little bad that the groomsmen were working so hard to decorate the place (just a little). I paid about $95 for the trial, $135 for hair and makeup, $115 for bridesmaids hair and makeup. She uses airbrushed foundation and includes false eyelashes with the price. She also gives you a little lip color and eyelash glue to touch up throughout the night. Great women, great artists, worth the price!

fair at the Convention center and she was warm and friendly. I knew I wanted to work with her from then on. She came to my hotel in Waikiki the morning of. Everything went smoothly and everyone commented on how great I looked! The only unfortunate thing was that my hair style fell out at the end of the ceremony but I attribute a lot of that to the fact that my hair is super thick. It worked out though because the curls stayed in my hair and I was able to let my hair down literally for the reception. She also did a great job with my mom and matron-of-honor's hair and makeup. She & her hair gal had excellent time management; we were even able to add my 4th bridesmaid last minute (she hadn’t wanted to spend the money initially). I LOVED my hair & make-up, it was above & beyond what I had wanted!! LOVED the false lashes she used too, comfy once they settled in. Make up lasted the whole day…needed touch up powder & lipstick (which I knew/bought ahead of time). But many people commented that I looked the same at the end of the night as I did when the ceremony first started. Book her, she’s great!

And if you have curly hair this is where to go because my hair stayed flawlessly straight and in place the entire night!!!

They kept the secret well and Sarah adjusted the hairstyle that I had previously requested to incorporate the jewelry piece perfectly.
