I have always been so impressed by Gretchen's attention to detail and her genuine interest in learning everyone's names. I observed her work at a friend's wedding a few years before my own and knew from that point on that the only person I wanted to photograph my wedding was Gretchen. She takes the time to learn each family member's name which facilitates faster and more orderly family photos. Her extensive experience means that she doesn't need specific information about portraits desired, so she knew exactly what photos we needed and took them without my prompting (a huge gift to any bride, especially like me doing a DIY wedding). She of course is very flexible in additional photo suggestions and subjects that are desired. Gretchen is easy-going and incredibly personable, too, so it allayed my nerves and fears of being the subject of so many photos and so much attention. She found the most artistic and idyllic settings within my desired locations without having visited the location before. Most importantly, her work really captured the essence of who my husband and I are as people--tied to the earth, organic, lovers of all things natural. The photos are the most beautiful, artistic, and touching pieces from our wedding-a true reflection of the love, atmosphere, and special touches from our wedding. They capture a story of who we are as people and as a couple. I could not have asked for a more wonderful, heart-felt photographer. I absolutely adore Gretchen's work and post-processing techniques. I recommend her to everyone I know. After seeing our collection of photos, family and friends across the US ask how we found such an incredible gem, too. Gretchen has a way of capturing the moment in time and giving it life in the photograph. She also really got to know us and what kinds of photos that we wanted and made sure they would be the style that we wanted. I can't rave enough about her because she did a perfect job!

for our Engagement and Wedding photos and she made the entire experience extremely pleasant, stress free and left us completely satisfied. We had a wedding party of 30+ people and she handled it with a positive attitude and made everyone feel at ease. She called frequently to make sure that we were on target to get what we wanted and was an incredible help with the wedding coordination, which we didn't even ask her to do, she was more than willing to lend a hand any way she could!
