Finally got a hold of him by cold calling and he answered. He was able to answer my questions but told me to schedule a meeting with him via Google Calendar. Fair, I did cold call. Fast forward to post wedding and we received our wedding video back. The highlight video was great, we loved that one. The full video however was awful. It was edited poorly, missing key portions of our ceremony and the only ceremony footage shown is from one angle where you see my face and the back of my husbands head. I have reached out to Derek repeatedly asking for a re-edit, raw footage (which I have an email from him stating I would have access to raw footage), and/or a partial refund. To any future brides/couples looking at this company- go with someone else and make sure you get a rock solid contract.

TL; DR: RUN FROM THIS COMPANY Synopsis of everything else: Derek Gauci is terrible at communication and management. Once he had the deposit it's like he forgot we existed. He also didn't turn in the wedding license, and when asked what title he would put on it for himself he said, I don't know? Minister? Officiant? --ISN'T IT YOUR JOB AND SHOULDN'T YOU KNOW? Also, right after the wedding I gave a great review which he loved, promised me all sorts of extras for it. (meta glasses video, other video, printed materials and an offer to be in a commercial because he JUST LOVED our story) When I asked for them, I got nothing but delay, pushback and finally anger. He also failed to deliver a referral gift to the couple that sent us to Falcon. He withheld it, in a text, due to the review changing. He's punishing the referrer, not me. Truly juvenile behavior. THEN he said he'd provide all the extras in return for signing an NDA. That seems to be his typical ploy. Devyn (DJ) only had two special requests and a list of play/don't play artists and songs. He kept repeating the same section of music for my entrance instead of blending together one continuous loop like he said he would do. For our first dance, he restarted the song we'd asked for 3 times. Later he texted me and bitched that he didn't get tipped. I was unaware of how horrible the walkout song was, otherwise I'd have let him know why right then and there. Vincent (2nd photographer, introduced to me as Derek's stepson) Seems to be a nice kid stuck in a job he doesn't want to do. He took 346 photos total. David did 1650. About a quarter of Vince's shots were very dark. He was nice enough, but didn't take charge with his camera like he should have. I asked Derek multiple times prior to the wedding who my second photog was and could I see their work. No answer until my wedding day. And I get someone who was maybe thrown into it at the last minute. I feel bad for the people that work there and just want to do their jobs. They get a lot of grief for actions or inactions by Derek. They shouldn't have to be berated for something out of their control. If you look back, the really bad reviews started about 9 months ago. What changed?

We signed a contract in January, and have been making monthly payments per our agreement. We haven’t heard from them since we signed our contract. I’ve called maybe a hundred times now, sent emails, texts, DM’s, left reviews, and nothing but crickets. I even scheduled an appointment through their website link and they never showed up to that. Just ghosted us. I simply was trying to schedule our engagement photo session that is included in our package and I am getting nothing. Turns out hundreds of other brides have the same story! I also heard the photographer you request, is not the photographer you get. People were saying they were sent a teenager to take their photos. I wish I saw the signs before signing the contract. We met Derek Gauci (owner) and his wife at the Novi bridal show. You would think only trusted vendors could come to this… I’m just so sick to my stomach and so disappointed. So I ask deeply to please leave a bad review for them. And anyone in legal that would like to offer some advice I would appreciate it as we work to make sure THIS ENDS WITH US
