You will not regret booking at Falls Lake. It is an absolutely beautiful park. The forest runs directly into the lake at most points creating an amazing backdrop. Parking is accessible, but the main gest areas are farther away from the shelters keeping noise and passerby activity down. The shelters they provide are good for a moderate sized party. They are insanely affordable. Our shelter cost $35 for a full day reservation. Main hang-up would be if rain occurs there is no available backup plan in the park. We loved our time at Falls Lake so much that we wish we could have done more there.

We had our wedding at a picnic shelter and the lake was our backdrop - the park rangers had come that morning to make sure the shelter was clean and all was ready - loved the fireplace as an added bonus - we cooked smores during the reception!
