For my daughter's wedding dress alterations we chose to see Kelly after hearing so many wonderful reviews from people in the Lansing area. From start to finish, Kelly was fabulous and I could just tell the dress was going to fit my daughter perfectly. Kelly's work is top notch and you can tell how much she cares for her customers. We will definitely be repeat customers and recommend her to anyone in our area looking for a quality seamstress.

kelly was very very sweet to me and my partner! my wheelchair seat cover had popped a stitch and the zipper fell off, she fixed it and sewed it back up in less than 10 minutes for a reasonable price. she couldn’t have made that easier.

I finally got to have my wedding after postponing due to COVID. Kelly altered my dress just in case last year. I came back this year after losing weight worried that the dress wouldn’t be able to be altered more. Kelly had to take my dress in 1.5 inches on each side, she even saved my pockets, in only 4 weeks. She also has done bridesmaids dresses for other weddings I have been in and my mom’s dress for my wedding and everything has been perfect. I will be returning to her for any further alterations I need!

Kelly was amazing! I needed the sleeves taken in on my wedding dress and she did a wonderful job and was able to get the alterations done in less than a week.

I called upon Fantastic Alterations in the spring of 2019 to alter my wedding dress on very short notice (less than a week). I couldn't have asked for a better experience! They welcomed me with open arms and made sure my dress was ready for my important day. I've been calling upon Fantastic Alterations ever since (most recently to sew patches on my motorcycle jacket). I also take every opportunity I can to recommend them to anyone I come in contact with who needs or even anticipates needing alterations.

Not only was she flexible with times to meet, she also eased my mind with how confident she was working with me and my dress. I found Kelly through my maid of honor. She came very highly recommended and she did not disappoint! Kelly is professional, timely and affordable. She was willing to work with my crazy schedule and even held my dress for me as I stayed in Virginia for longer than anticipated. Her work is amazing and speaks for itself. One of the most positive experiences with a vendor I've had so far! 10/10 would recommend.

My cousin used her for her wedding and she was very reasonable price wise so I choose to use her as well, unfortunately it was during the pandemic, however she worked with me and changing my wedding date multiple times. She was quick and her prices are very reasonable. Her business is located inside her home.

I found Kelly as I had purchased a secondhand dress and being short in stature, needed to take some of the length off. Kelly really helped to make the dress feel as though it has always been mine. I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone. She is extremely kind, and very flexible, and really did make the whole experience enjoyable!

Kelly is great at what she does. I had a wedding dress with A LOT of layers and she took it up, fitted it, and made it perfect for our special day. Highly recommend for anyone in the Lansing area!

Kelly was awesome! Due to COVID I had to down size my wedding last minute and a friend of mine suggested Kelly. I picked out a smaller dress for our small wedding in 2020 and Kelly met me that day! She altered my dress exactly how I wanted. Now she will be doing my big gown for this years event. Thank you so much Kelly for making such a crazy experience a little bit better! You are a rockstar!

I had an amazing experience with Fantastic Alterations! Kelly had great ideas to make the dress I wanted to wear fit perfect! She spent her own time looking on etsy for the details I needed for my dress. I can tell Kelly truly cared about her clients...she worked with my needs, schedule, budget, and crazy attitude in a stressful time! lol. I highly recommend Fantastic Alterations!

I love this place! They were so nice to me and so quick! I needed a dress bought for a military ball hemmed. It was too long and my event was in a couple weeks. She was able to pin me and hem the dress on time and was very reassuring of the timeline. I would 100% recommend this place!

She is so nice! I ended up having both my wedding dress and a formal dress for a wedding event altered here. Since it is outside of their house, it was a little more relaxed and it was just one on one the whole time I was there. The price was fair and I didn't have any worries about the timeline. Very pleasant experience and it was nice to not have to worry about this piece while wedding planning!

Due to COVID, we cancelled our original 2020 wedding, but later decided to have a small ceremony. I planned this event quickly and Kelly was a huge help to me. She replied right away and was willing to help me with alterations on the jumpsuit that I wore--it ended up fitting perfectly! Thank you Kelly!!

Kelly was a lifesaver for my COVID wedding! She gave me great consultation multiple times throughout my dress journey, and the alterations she made were perfect and quick. Communication was easy, and this was especially helpful during a very stressful time. Kelly is a joy to work with, very kind and fun! Because of the pandemic, we switched to an intimate, outdoor ceremony, and I ordered a cheap dress because I didn’t want my original one to get ruined outside before our big party. I will definitely be going back to Kelly to alter my dream dress, too!

Kelly did a phenomenal job working with me on getting my wedding dress fitted as well as my maid of honor. Getting an appointment was quick and easy, pricing was reasonable, and her work was great. The week before my wedding I needed alterations and so did my moh and she was able to get both dresses done well before the wedding. I wouldn’t hesitate sending anyone else her way, and have already done so for other alterations needs. They have loved her work as well!

Kelly was friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful to work with. My daughter lived out of state and Kelly accommodated her schedule for fittings. She also made herself available for last minute alterations! During our first visit, Kelly noticed a broken zipper pull on a jacket and promptly replaced it, at no charge. So kind.

I recommend Kelly without reservation! She was very friendly and welcoming when my wife and I approached her--she altered my dress, my wife's suit, and even repaired and spruced up my late mother's veil so I could wear it. She's terrific.

Kelly is amazing!!!!! She was not only professional, fast and helpful but she does amazing work at a very reasonable price. Kelly gave me the best options for pinning up my train and gave my Matron of Honor a crash course of how to do it! Kelly is beyond skilled and has a true talent. I wouldn’t have brought my wedding dress to anyone else!

Kelly and her shop were great! My dress had to shift from a standard size to petite, and Kelly made sure my dress matched my proportions and the overlay of beadwork stayed consistent through the alteration process. Kelly listened to all of my concerns and made suggestions to work out all the issues. Service pricing was very reasonable and Kelly clearly wrote out pricing information in advance of the alterations, no surprise charges. Turnaround time was prompt and on schedule. I highly recommend Kelly and Fantastic Alterations!

Fantastic Finds recommended Fantastic Alterations to alter my wedding dress. I did not want a train. While there, the tailor noticed a fit issue at the back and made that adjustment as well. She finished the job in a timely way and was a pleasure to be with. She was able to accommodate my work schedule as well.

Kelly did an AMAZING job with my wedding dress. The front of my dress had a very delicate nude-colored netting that went from the neckline down to the bellybutton, with beading over top. I didn't want my belly button to show though-- Kelly was able to add a tiny bit of fabric that was an exact match to the main dress fabric, without damaging the delicate netting. She also added a few more beads - exact match - to blend the seam so you couldn't tell anything had been changed. Kelly also tailored my mother's gown to perfection.

Kelly did an amazing job on my wedding dress. In addition to all of the basic alterations, she changed the backline of the dress from a closed style to a v-shape. Everything came out beautifully and fit like a glove! She was great to work with, and I'd definitely go back if I need any alterations in the future.

Kelly was wonderful! Calling to make the appointment and follow up appointments was a breeze! Very kind to both my mom and I. As a first time bride, and the first time getting any garment altered, she put us right at ease. Would recommend for any and all looking for just the right fit!

Kelly was AMAZING. Seriously. You should look no further if you need tailoring/alterations (and not just for a wedding!). She did all of the alterations on my wedding dress, including adding a bustle, adjusting the corseting, and moving and reinforcing the straps. She was efficient, kind, and also charged an incredibly reasonable price. Kelly also tailored my husband's suit for the wedding, including adjusting the suit jacket and vest in several places and hemming his pants. If I ever need other clothes adjusted past my own sewing abilities, there's no question that I'll take them to Kelly.

Stop your search at go to Fantastic Alterations!!! Kelly and her mother are amazing!!!! I loved that each time I talked to her she let me know that all of us would wear our masks and even had me call upon arrival, so they could make sure they were ready! I felt so safe and comfortable! Kelly also maybe me feel super comfortable when she had to assist me. She also had my dress done soo fast! I am already taking a bridesmaid dress and a coat back to her! My dress looks absolutely perfect!!! She took it in on the back and side, hemmed the bottom, put bra cups in, and created a bustle! It looks flawless and fits my body perfectly!!! Lastly, I want to mention that I got in a car accident on my way to my appointment. She assured me my tardiness was okay and helped me take a deep breath- had never met her before and she helped me reset! She is a sweetheart!
