Farah’s Makeup Artistry

I'm an American marrying a Pakistani and knew little about Pakistani bridal looks. Farah made me feel stunningly beautiful, but also comfortable, and explained everything she was doing as she worked. I felt like a movie star and can't recommend her highly enough.

Truly... where do I even begin... Farah was a God sent (hehe I keep telling her this.. but I am 100% serious! She was my greatest) and I was so thankful I came across her here on Thumbtack to do my hair and makeup for my big day! She is hands down one of the most talented makeup artists in the business. I trusted her to do her thing for my bridals and I can’t believe the miracle she performed on both my hair and makeup. She made me feel like an absolute princess. She is so detailed with every ounce of make up she puts on your face. Her color matching is perfection and she will do whatever you ask. She is so trustworthy and honest and can do anything you ask of her. The day of my bridal shoot, it was incredibly hot and humid outside and I was so nervous my make up was going to drip off my face from sweating and I couldn’t believe how perfect my make up stayed in place throughout the whole entire shoot. I got in the car after my shoot and looked in the mirror and was shook! It still looked airbrushed! True talent, Farah! 🤍🤞🏼✨ On my wedding day, she set up glam and her and her partner performed me and all of my bridal party’s hair and make up. She made my mom look absolutely stunning... all my my bridesmaids felt so beautiful. They kept commenting on how thankful they were that I found her. She did a beautiful, natural, blush look on them and my girls looked out of this world beautiful. She was so calm and patient and timely... Farah did a great job for my sister's mayoun/mehendi makeup. She looked amazing! She also did a great job with her hairstyle. Not only did she do a great job with the bride, she also did an fabulous job with our party makeup and hair. Would definitely recommend!

Farah was absolutely amazing to work with for my wedding reception day! I wanted a glamorous South Asian bridal look for my reception day and Farah delivered! I received so many compliments on my wedding day look and was very happy! She took care of everything - makeup, hair, jewelry, veil, etc!! I can never thank her enough! She even made sure that my lehenga was stuck on me and was well-prepared with safety pins (lol)! I am so grateful that I found her within the Austin area! Farah herself is very responsive, collaborative, and easy to work with. She is punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. She is also very sweet and I can attest that she is a true expert in her field. I would highly recommend her and hope to see her business grow in the years to come!

Farah is amazing! Not only was she very responsive but very flexible with her scheduling and times. I made an appointment to get my trial done and she was quick and so willing to work with me on the look I wanted for my wedding. The weekend of my wedding she was punctual and quick. She got my mom ready both days quickly after me and I was always on time and looked/felt great. I bonded with her and she comforted me when I was nervous and just overall can’t imagine a better MUA for my wedding weekend. She also did a great job on my make up and my dupatta setting. My outfit weighed maybe a million pounds but she helped put in 60+ safety pins and to keep it up and going for the whole night. Highly recommend Farah. I know I’ll be using her for all my make up needs.

I have had the pleasure of getting my makeup done by Farah twice- once for one of my wedding events and the second for my graduation party. On both occasions, I was so happy with my look and got so many compliments. Farah is truly an artist. The first time Farah did my makeup, I let her take the creative reins and decide what look she felt would be best with my outfit and jewelry and I was so impressed with the end result. She created a beautiful sunset inspired eye that matched perfectly with my pink and orange flower jewelry. She knows which makeup products will work best with my skin type and skin tone and I feel that I can always trust her to create an absolutely stunning look. The second time I got my makeup done by Farah, she based the look off of a picture of her previous work that I showed her but modified it to match my dress. She worked so hard to make sure I was happy with each aspect of the look. She curled my hair beautifully into a glamorous and decadent old Hollywood style that lasted all night long. Not only is Farah extremely skilled, but she is the sweetest person and a pleasure to sit with for the 3-4 hours it takes to do my hair and makeup. Her passion for what she does, her kindness and patience, and her amazing talent make her my favorite choice for getting my hair and makeup done for special occasions when I am in Austin. I know I can trust her to always deliver a gorgeous look that I am so happy with. She always makes me look and feel so beautiful!

Farah is absolutely amazing!!! Not only is she incredibly talented at hair and makeup, she is also kind, calm, thoughtful and caring. She made my every dream come true for my Indian bridal look, and then again for our reception! When things were running late, she was so calm, comforting and wonderful, and even stepped up to help my Mom to drape her sari. She was truly our wedding angel. Thank you Farah!

Phenomenal makeup artistry! Farah is truly a talented professional. I am so very lucky she was available for my wedding makeup. I received so many compliments all night about my makeup and I truly loved it! The quality of makeup she used was great and the application on my troublesome skin was flawless. She is the only person I ever want to do my makeup going forward. She also did makeup for the mothers and my sister and it was absolutely beautiful and just what they wanted. I cannot say enough great things about her work.

Farah is one of the very few MUA’s who know what they’re doing! She is extremely talented and gifted in her art. Farah was not only super conscious of gettin me ready on the time requested from the very moment she entered the room to get started but also was conscious of the end look I wanted. What really impressed me was her ability to quickly understand what I was aiming for my bridal look and did exactly that from makeup to my hairdo... As I was not a local bride I couldnt meet Sarah anytime earlier that the day of my event and she did a spectacular job nonetheless. FARAH WAS AMAZING!!! This was my second time doing a makeup look for the same outfit and i loved Farah’s work soooooooo much more. She was so kind and accommodating to my schedule. She also took the time to look at the inspo i had picked out and asked my opinion on colors and lashes etc. she is extremely professional, quick, easy to work with, and made me feel like a QUEEN!! would recommended her to anyone getting married or having any event they need makeup, hair, dupatta setting, jewelry for!!! Farah is amazing from our initial trial to my wedding day everything was so easy and professional with her, shes punctual so nice & such a calming person to be around while the craziness is going on! Her skill is flawless she was able to get me & 6 of my wedding party members ready without a flaw we all felt so beautiful! From my mom who never wears makeup and just wanted a soft glam to myself who needed a full on photo ready finish she definitely delivered, needless to say i know who I'm calling my next event!

Farah is such a great makeup artist. I am not one for wearing a lot of makeup, but for my special events , i just have the urge to splurge and I am so glad that I found Farah! Farah was incredible! She was very sweet and really easy to work with. She made me and my daughter feel so comfortable and you could tell that she knows what she is doing and that she loves her job.The makeup was exactly as we had discussed. I wanted very natural makeup for myself and that's what she delivered. And my daughter looked gorgeous in all the events she got her makeup done from her. Farah did my makeup a couple years ago for three of my wedding events; the dholki/dance party, the religious ceremony and the reception. I don’t know what I would have done without her. She filled a HUGE gap in the Austin area—we really needed someone who specializes in glam looks particularly for South Asian and Middle Eastern features. I love seeing her business grow—-she deserves it! She has the skills and talent to make anyone look and feel beautiful. Her personality is such that she makes you feel at ease even during the most stressful moments before the wedding events and while getting glammed up!

I really don't have the words to describe in full detail how Farah made me and my daughter feel as she transformed my daughter into a beautiful young lady the day of her prom.
