We explained that you either can have bustle for your train or shorten the train. You chose to have the train shortened. We specifically asked you if you wanted us to cut your train and hem your dress. You approved and did not even ask about the cost. We presumed you had already checked our estimated costs on our website. We hemmed your dress, completely removed the train per your request, and replaced the rhinestone buttons with lace bridal buttons that were specially ordered for you. You were charged $285 for the labor and material. We also provided you with itemized list of the costs detailing additional items your dress needed. Having read that, you said you would like to go to different alteration shops to see if you could get a better rate, so we only charged you $285 for the items that services were already rendered. You picked up your dress without trying it on, so you did not give us chance to see if your hem needed additional adjustments. You also mentioned that you got your dress for pretty cheap so you do not want to spend for alteration more than what you had paid for your dress. Regarding the delivery person, we are serious about the safety of our personnel and our clients during the current pandemic. The food delivery person was specifically instructed to not enter the shop considering the severity of the pandemic during the time. Our front desk employee was in the back of the store when the delivery person violated the instruction and entered the store. She raised her voice to reach the front of the store and tell the delivery person that she cannot enter the store. We do not think it is appropriate to go as far as easily judge the character of our entire team, and accuse a female college student who is working with us regarding the safety measures that had nothing to do with your alteration service.
