From the moment you arrive, the world seems to slow down. Your journey begins on a winding crushed-stone pathway that leads you through 60 acres of rolling green hills and lush fields. For your ceremony, exchange vows in our secluded Wooded Grove, where towering trees provide a natural cathedral of shade and serenity.
As the sun begins to set over the hilltop, transition to your cocktail hour in our Open-Air Courtyard or on the Two-Story Deck. Here, the stunning pergola offers the perfect balance of breeze and shade, allowing your guests to take in the panoramic views in style.
The celebration culminates inside our historic Red Barn. Whether you are hosting an intimate gathering in the Lower Barn Parlor or a grand reception for up to 299 guests in the Upper Barn Loft, you’ll be surrounded by the glow of authentic wood beams and family heritage. At Farm 1849, every corner—from the long grass pathways to the hilltop vistas—is a backdrop designed for magic moments.

At Farm 1849, we open our gates from May through October, inviting you to experience the best of the Wisconsin seasons. Our family believes that your wedding day should be as seamless as it is beautiful, which is why we offer all-inclusive access to our entire estate.
When you celebrate with us, the farm is truly yours. You’ll have your choice of five distinct outdoor settings and two historic indoor spaces, allowing your vision to unfold exactly as you imagined. To ensure you can focus on making memories, we provide full use of our hand-selected furniture and amenities, taking the stress out of the logistics so you can immerse yourself in the magic of the farm. From the first bloom of May to the golden hues of October, our team is dedicated to helping you host a day that feels like home.

Kristen and Trevor Pachis, along with their two children, friends, and family, spent five years thoughtfully restoring the barn and surrounding outdoor spaces. Today, the property hosts weddings, yoga retreats, farm-to-table dinners, vintage markets, live music, and private events, all rooted in a love for gathering, celebration, and connection to the land.
Kristen brings experience in wedding and event planning, with a deep understanding of timelines, logistics, and the many moving parts that make a wedding day feel seamless. Her favorite part of hosting weddings is witnessing the joy and excitement unfold throughout the day—for each couple, their families, and their closest friends—as meaningful moments come to life in the space.
As hands-on, owner-operators, Kristen and Trevor work closely with every couple and their vendor team. They are available to answer questions, accommodate thoughtful requests, and ensure each vendor is familiar with the property so the day flows smoothly from start to finish. From early planning conversations to the final send-off, they take pride in being present, approachable, and supportive.
