The restaurant is the third endeavor of George and Eileen McCluney, who also own and operate Beef O’Brady’s in Hoover and Beef’s in Helena. After their two daughters flew the nest, George and Eileen decided to use their newfound free time to open a Southern-style eatery. The restaurant is named for Eileen’s mother, Kathleen Farrelly, who emigrated to the United States from Co. Meath, Ireland, in the 1950s. Kathleen was renowned for her warmth and hospitality, and this spot seeks to continue her legacy as it welcomes guests through its doors.
