Fashion Face

e your makeup artist wisely.  Do yourself a favor and choose a different makeup artist for your wedding events. I truly wish someone had warned me before I booked Berkha and her team for all three of my wedding events. On the very first day(Mehndi Day), her team burned my forehead while doing my hair. The burn became worse the following day, and instead of properly addressing the situation, it was simply covered with makeup and hidden with my hairstyle. Then, to make the situation far worse on the second day, an older woman at the salon caused a loud scene and told Berkha not to do my makeup because of the wound HER OWN TEAM CAUSED. Imagine being a bride, already stressed, sitting there while salon staff publicly discuss whether they should even work on you because they injured you. Completely unprofessional and embarrassing. Berkha asked for my consent to continue with the services, but realistically, what choice did I have? I had already paid months in advance, and no bride can suddenly find another makeup artist during wedding events on such short notice. My family and I stayed patient and respectful throughout all three days despite the situation. By the third event, the wound had turned black and started peeling. Although she attempted to cover it with makeup, the damage was obvious and painful. The burn continued to sting throughout my honeymoon and caused tingling and discomfort even afterward. What should have been one of the happiest times of my life was overshadowed by stress, pain, and frustration. After returning from my honeymoon, my husband, who is a lawyer, contacted her regarding the physical damage caused to my face and requested reimbursement. Instead of taking accountability, apologizing sincerely, or trying to make things right, Berkha argued back and forth and refused to properly compensate me for the damage and inconvenience. The only amount my husband was eventually able to recover was $300; which was the cost of the hair service from my Mehndi event only.  She is so lucky that I didn’t sue her because this could have gone very badly for her business. What disappointed me most was the lack of professionalism and accountability. Accidents can happen, but the way a business handles those situations says everything. Rather than prioritizing customer care and satisfaction, I was met with defensiveness and excuses. Any decent makeup artist would have been apologetic, accommodating, and eager to make things right after injuring a bride on her wedding. Instead, I was met with excuses and attitude. To make matters worse, the makeup itself was underwhelming. The lipstick faded quickly, and the makeup did not last throughout the night as expected for bridal services. Your wedding day is too important to risk with someone careless and unprofessional. Learn from my mistake and take your money somewhere else.

tiful. She was super friendly and professional and did an amazing job on me, as well as my mother and sister. She was super sweet and made me feel very comfortable with the experience. I can’t wait to book fashion face/Nusrat for the rest of my events. Would highly recommend them!!

ch day, I had a different look and each look was more than I could have ever dreamed of. Hareem is an extremely talented artist and I was so lucky to be able to work with her. She not only did my hair and make up for each event, but helped place my dupatta and jewelry for the Pakistani events. Hareem is not only a talented artist, but also a down to earth, genuine person, who I would truly consider a great friend. I would highly recommended Hareem and Fashion Face!!

got my trial done 7 weeks before my wedding with Berkha and had instantly booked her for my wedding. I had booked these artists for 3 events of mine with details specified clearly. Red flags started showing up 1-2 weeks before the wedding when I had called to check if everything is on track and Mahi had messed up my requirements and I had to repeat the requirements to her all over again. 2 days before the wedding she decided to call and decline one of the services I had asked for, I had no idea where to find a replacement. ** Day of my event 1 - Nusrat was my MUA, she did a good job with makeup and hair but saree draping was a disaster, so Indian brides with saree draping requirements please find an alternative option. ** Day 2 the day of my wedding - berkha decides to not show up for my makeup with no advance notice. Nusrat saved the day with makeup and hair. I had hired someone for my draping at a short notice. But the amount of stress I went through minutes before my big moment because of Mahi and team could have been easily avoided if I trusted the other reviews on this channel about their professionalism and Berkha’s no show attitude. Nusrat is talented and I don’t have any issues with her, but please avoid this parlor for any bridal or time commitment related services and pick another one which actually makes and honors the contract.
