They say it’s the secret ingredient to health. Whether it be work/life balance, balance of dreams/reality, balance of a team. Balance in a marriage.
Zach was a dreamer, lead by excitement and a slight obsession for pizza, driven by a heart to serve. Now good intention and passion can certainly start a fire, but consistency and planning keeps that fire alive.
Cue Shanna - [A lot] more left brained, with a track record for organized, planned success. The “Grid” that hides behind an artist's design, the deciding factor between good and great.
It just so happens they married each other - and a few years later Fat Zach’s was born.

Everyone dreams of their perfect wedding day, and with a complimentary couple like Zach and Shanna, it was bound to be a colorful, fun but logistically sound event - and in a perfect world it could have been. However the wedding industry proved to be rigid and strict, putting Zach and Shanna’s big plans in a box and if they didn’t fit in that box - they had to be abandoned.
WHO SAYS NO TO A BRIDE ON HER WEDDNG DAY?!
Luckily, the memory of one’s wedding is never too far away, so as Zach and Shanna built Fat Zach’s, they made sure when they opened their catering division and weddings were starting to book, they would go above and beyond to make the day tailored to the couple they were serving, custom crafting an experience, after all - its THEIR day!
Zach and Shanna continue to do life and business together - playing to their individual strengths in raising their son, maintaining a healthy marriage and cultivating a well rounded, balanced business - providing personal and professional service to each and every client they cater.
Sometimes love is handholding, vacations, slow dancing…and sometimes love is pizza making, paper pushing, late nights and no days off - but doing it all alongside someone that you love, they wouldn’t change a thing.

Fat Zach's Pizza is a wedding catering business based in Puyallup, Washington, specializing in delicious pizza buffets. The company is renowned for its gourmet wood-fired pizzas and charcuterie displays, wowing couples with a luxurious and showstopping feast. Initially established in 2018, the team started serving the local area from a food cart before opening a dine-in restaurant. Now, with three brick & mortar locations and three mobile wood fire pizza ovens, the pizza company can cater for weddings throughout the Greater South Sound Area.

the salad stayed fresh, and the pizza buffet was able to accommodate everyone’s dietary needs and was served quickly. The pizzas were consistently being brought out so they were hot for even the final tables. After everyone made it through the line, they had more than enough for seconds and people were even able to take some home at the end of the night. As the bride and groom, we got special pizzas made to take home with us at the end of the night, too! Amber was phenomenal; she was reassuring and friendly and everyone loved her. We felt taken care of for the entire evening and didn’t have a single worry about food. Thank you FZ’s!!!

e on our date. From the very beginning, Shanna (Mrs. Fat Zach’s) went above and beyond to answer every single one of my questions and make our elevated pizza buffet come to life. When I asked about allergies, Shanna asked about the specific brands that worked for our family and made sure to only include menu items that fit our needs. On the day of our wedding, our guests LOVED Fat Zach’s menu and are still sending us messages about it! Our cocktail hour featured their charcuterie board, and my husband and I loved that the FZ team made us our own plate to enjoy a quiet moment together immediately following the ceremony. The NBD and CBR pizzas were a fan favorite on the buffet line and we really appreciated the extra pizzas that were left for us to enjoy after the Fat Zach’s team left the event. Dill was a big crowd pleaser -- and the charcuterie table, garlic knots and summer salad served as excellent cocktail hour hors d'ouevres as well. Shanna is SO easy and flexible and responsive to work with, their pricing is fair, and their team really goes above and beyond -- which can be hard to find in Seattle, especially if you don't want to pay out the wazoo. Seriously though, hire them for your wedding, event, whatever -- they are incredible.

ur venue did not have a kitchen available to use. Fat Zach’s brought their pizza truck and were phenomenal! Shanna is so easy to work with, very easy to communicate with, and so flexible. We opted for the charcuterie table which was absolutely beautiful (and delicious!) and their cannolis are a must. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food and have so many good things to say about the food and the staff! Highly recommend Fat Zach’s for a casual lunch or for catering your events!
