ningful to us rather than having a traditional wedding inside a church.
Finding Father Michael was such a blessing because he was willing to perform our ceremony outside of the church, which allowed us to have the Catholic ceremony that was important to me while still getting married in the beautiful setting we had chosen.
The ceremony itself felt incredibly meaningful, personal, and heartfelt. There was something so special about being surrounded by the people we love, in such a beautiful setting, while still having the Catholic traditions and faith that meant so much to us.
Father Michael created a ceremony that felt sacred and intimate without feeling overly formal, and it was truly one of the most memorable parts of our wedding day.
We are so grateful that Father Michael was willing to be part of such an important moment in our lives. He gave us the opportunity to have the Catholic wedding we wanted while also allowing us to celebrate our marriage in the way we had envisioned. We will always be thankful to him for making our ceremony so beautiful and meaningful.
My husband was blessed to find Father Michael Messina. We considered him as heaven sent to preside over our wedding ceremony.

p until the wedding was accomplished. He's hands-on with every part of the ceremony. He demonstrated absolute care on how our wedding ceremony will be worth remembering. He worked hand in hand with me to ensure that the ceremony would be solemn and would reflect how lovely we are as a couple. In addition, Father Michael shared with us his great sense of humor that made our wedding ceremony even more memorable.
We can't thank Father Michael enough for all that he has done for us. Our wedding ceremony was filled with inspiration and hope that we'll be at our full potential as husband and wife.
We earnestly hope that Father Michael would be able to share more his gift of binding and blessing couples with their union and to inspire future husbands and wives to root their marriage in Christ.
We couldn’t be more grateful to have had Father Michael Messina as our wedding officiant. He brought such warmth, grace, and professionalism to our ceremony, and truly set the tone...
for a joyful and sacred celebration of our love.
While Father Michael didn’t know us personally beforehand, he used his deep experience and thoughtful anecdotes to craft a message that felt incredibly personal and meaningful. He seamlessly wove in stories and reflections that highlighted the beauty of marriage and made us—and our guests—feel seen and celebrated.
He was incredibly organized, calming, and present throughout the process. His voice carried with clarity and confidence, and his delivery made the entire ceremony feel intimate and special. So many of our guests commented on how powerful and moving the ceremony was.
Father Michael was the perfect person to unite us in marriage, and we’re so thankful he was a part of our day.

ys so kind and helpful. Having a religious ceremony was very important to us, and he did a wonderful job incorporating traditional Catholic practices, while also making it fun and lighthearted. We received so many compliments from our family and friends on how amazing Father Michael was at officiating the ceremony. Thank you Father Michael for making our day so special. We would highly recommend him for your wedding!

tholic practices I grew up with, while also integrating more personal touches, like a Rose Exchange for our parents. It was so special and we would highly recommend him as an officiant.

the most nervous day of our lives, and he delivered such an amazing message. My husband and I were so grateful that he also offered to be a resource for us and our marriage if we ever needed him. We were honored to have Father Michael be a part of our wedding!

fficiants they had ever seen presiding over the ceremony. There were lots of laughs and tears. We cannot thank Father Michael for helping us get married.
As an honest review, I am extremely disappointed with Father Michael’s service. We did the rehearsal the day before where I requested for our wedding party to sit during the ceremo...
ny. He instructed that he will have them sit after the opening prayer which ultimately changed during the wedding; wedding party sat after the homily. We had a catholic ceremony with Filipino traditions such as the unity items (cord, veil and coins). He told us he is familiar and has done such unity ceremony so it was reassuring. I still sent him the script and instructions for such just to be sure. On the wedding itself, the coins part was a disaster and randomly he asked while we were holding the coins if I still want him to do the blessing. Most importantly, during the rehearsal, I had told him that no one will be standing during my procession yet he still announced everyone to stand so guests were confused and ultimately ruined one of the most important thing during that day. As much as we respect him as a priest and officiant, it just did not work out on our day.
We could not have asked for a more perfect ceremony. Father michael did an excellent job incorporating faith into the ceremony while keeping it lighthearted and fun. We could not...
have been happier and we had multiple people comment on how nice of a job Father Michael did, including some who do not consider themselves religious. Thank you, Father Michael for making our day perfect.

to our ceremony was important to us and the words he spoke touched us and our guests but he also circled his message back perfectly to my cousin's words about us. We knew the moment we met Father Michael that he would be the perfect person to wed us! I received SOOO MANY compliments on how beautiful the ceremony was and how awesome Father Michael was!
If I were you, I would not hesitate to book him for your big day! You will not be disappointed!

answer for us both! He is very responsive to emails, is forthright and provides information up front. He himself is warm and receptive, with a good dose of humor, and provided us with reassurances and advice regarding various situations we posed. We were able to meet with Father Michael in person prior to our wedding date; he made us feel comfortable and allowed us as much time as we needed to go through everything related to the ceremony. On wedding day, Father Michael was wonderful, and we couldn't have been happier with him as our officiant. Our family members enjoyed meeting him, and many people commented on what a wonderful ceremony he had conducted. We really felt that he had taken the time to know "us", and incorporated that into our ceremony so that it was very personal and meaningful. We are so happy that Father Michael came into our lives, and feel very blessed that he was a part of our covenant with each other and God, in the presence of our friends and family. We would recommend him without hesitation.

with him several times before the wedding day and he was very accommodating and responsive. The ceremony was exactly what we dreamed for and Father Michael nailed every part of it. We couldn't be happier and very grateful he was apart of our special day! Highly recommend Father Michael as he will definitely not disappoint!
Father Michael did a fabulous job officiating our wedding ceremony. He is caring and funny, it was a great fit for our catholic families and our desire to have an outdoor ceremony....

Father Michael was positively wonderful! He was funny, kind, and spent the time to get to know our families. He was flexible and listened to what we wanted. Definitely recommend!

o whatever I wanted, I still wanted to meet him halfway and try to avoid a full Catholic wedding. I struggled very much with how we would handle it and randomly came across Fr. Messina who is a part of the American Catholic Church and therefore is able to conduct ceremonies outside of an actual church. I realized this was the perfect compromise for us so I reached out to Fr. Messina, all while knowing in the back of my head that we almost had to go with him whether or not he was actually good and whether we liked him or not. So we drove to meet him for our first consultation (my then-fiancé being willing but reluctant).
We loved him right away. He was receptive, funny, down to earth, and mostly, he picked up on our personalities right away. I walked away from our meeting happy and my then-fiancé walked away going on and on about how he never knew he could be so happy with our decision. At our ceremony, he was on point. He knew the kind of people we were and worked with that. We wouldn’t want it any other way. Fr. Messina was fantastic and we go on about how we were so lucky and so blessed to have him conduct the most important day of our lives. 5 stars all the way!
We are an older couple, both marrying for the first time. It was important to us that our marriage be blessed by God, and Father Michael allow that to happen for us. He helped to o...
rganize our ceremony, was easy to work with, has a good sense of humor and we could not imagine our ceremony without him as the officiant. It was a special day made all that more special by father Michael.

p it pretty traditional without having a full Catholic mass (most of our guests were not Catholic and many were not religious). From the first time we met with Father Messina I felt like a huge weight had been lifted and I knew immediately that we had found the right person. He was organized, professional, and really knows what he is doing (he had answers to our questions and advice that we probably would never have thought about). The ceremony was absolutely perfect and matched our wishes and our relationship perfectly. The emotion of the ceremony caused me to begin to cry and Father Messina was quick to lighten the mood and allow me to regian my composure without skipping a beat. We heard from many guests how great Father Messina was and had more than one person say it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever attended. I wholeheartedly recommend Father Messina for your wedding. It was a day we will never forget and it would not have been the same without him.

t and offered a wide variety of options to make our ceremony unique to us as a couple. He traveled a long way to the venue and braved some rough weather to get there, as well! The ceremony itself was smooth and professional, full of warmth and love. Fantastic experience!
Father Michael Messina at Risen Christ Ministries was a wonderful officiant. We chose him because I was raised Catholic (although not currently practicing) and my husband was not ...
raised with organized religion. It seemed like a good compromise, plus, American Catholic priests perform wedding ceremonies in any location of your choice which is what we were looking for.
After meeting him for the first time, we had a good idea of what our ceremony would be like and felt confident that he would guide us through the decisions we needed to make but ultimately, perform our ceremony just as we wanted it. He had a good outline of the ceremony prepared but was very open to additions/alterations.
At the rehearsal he made sure everyone knew what they were doing and were comfortable with their roles. I didn't have to worry at all about whether the ceremony would go smoothly on the day of.
We got many compliments on our ceremony from friends and family and several even said that it was one of the best wedding ceremonies they have been to. All the Catholics from my side of the family seemed satisfied, as did my husband's family. Most importantly, we thought the ceremony was perfect!
