My husband and I looked for officiants that were not so cut and dry. We wanted someone who embodied the same effortless relatability and comfortability that we have in our relationship. He is professional in his field by being so personable. He welcomed us into his home for our meetings to design the ceremony and we had the best time getting to know each other. It did not ever feel like a vendor meeting with him, it was like leaving a friend's house after great conversation. We never expected that he would prompt us to open up about the hard times we had been through together, and listen with intent when we described them. That alone was outstanding work from Father Vince because it brought my husband and I even closer through these comprehensive prompts. Fast forward to our ceremony, which was beautiful, touching, relatable, just everything we dreamed of. There was never a moment of the ceremony that felt like the words were unintentional or blanket statements. Countless family/friends approached us complementing the ceremony, saying it was among the best they've ever witnessed. And most important of all, my husband and I felt that it fit us like a glove. I cannot recommend Father Vince enough, our wedding wouldn't have been nearly as special without him.

Father Vince takes the time to get to know you on a personal level, learn about your relationship and life together and even your families. My husband and I both grew up in the Roman Catholic religion and still practice it, but did not want to have a church ceremony and Father Vince made this happen for us. As a same-sex couple, we couldn't get married in the Church that we wanted to, but wanted to have a priest who had experience with both giving sermons and counseling couples (and of course someone who supported our relationship and desire to get married). Father Vince was the perfect person for us. Throughout the process, he was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and willing to accommodate all of our requests. He genuinely wanted to get to know us, understand our relationship, and create the type of meaningful wedding ceremony that we were after. His pre-wedding questionnaire led to some great conversations between my wife and I, and our discussions with him during our meetings were also really helpful! (I think about his marriage advice quite often!) He also welcomed us into his home for our final pre-wedding meeting and his wife, Christine, made us delicious scones and when we were finished meeting, insisted on driving us to the train station back to NYC. They are such kind and thoughtful people. Perhaps most importantly, Father Vince did an incredible job officiating our ceremony. So many of our guests came up to us after the ceremony (and told us in the weeks that followed) how impressed they were with him and how the ceremony was so meaningful and special. During the ceremony, Father Vince spoke to us directly while also engaging our guests--which we loved. We can't thank Father Vince enough--without a doubt you should work with him if you have the chance!
