Our wedding day with Favored by Yodit Events & Design was absolutely phenomenal! Yodit and her team were incredible from the very first call to even days after the wedding. They captured the mood and theme we desired perfectly and even managed to sneak in a few surprises that really wowed us. We were so grateful for their thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and simply going above and beyond!

Working with Yodit and Jackie was an absolute joy. Their team brings so much knowledge, advice, and organization to the wedding planning process. I had an idea of what I envisioned and they were able to make it a reality while executing it perfectly! They made the entire process a thousand times less stressful and the wedding turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. I cannot recommend them enough! Every moment of our wedding planning was absolutely enjoyable with Yodit and her team! They were professional, knowledgeable, and so much fun! As a bride planning a wedding during a global pandemic and running two businesses, the Favored By Yodit team was truly heaven sent! Jennifer on their team was so attentive, supportive, very responsive and helped us execute our vision and remain in budget. Their help during the process was invaluable. Yodit and her team are heaven-sent! My husband and I got the 'Month Of' package and picked vendors and decor up to the wedding month, but Yodit was still there with us every step of the way, answering any questions we had and giving advice and vendor recommendations. She also gives you a shared excel spreadsheet to help keep us updated and on track. Then when it got to the wedding day, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Everything went smoothly as we wanted, and Yodit took a huge weight off our shoulders. We also wanted a planner to balance the Ethiopian and American sides and understand our culture. Yodit's team was professional, super sweet women, and easy to talk to. Seriously, we couldn't ask for a better planner and team!

My daughter was getting married in DC; I live in Southern California...I thought this was going to be rough and I was stressed! But, the minute we made the decision to hire Yodit to be our Wedding Planner, I felt a load of weight come off my shoulders. I trusted that we were in good hands and I was right. Yodit and Carol were amazing. We are based in New Jersey, but were planning our wedding in Virginia at the height of the pandemic in 2020. Yodit and Carol kept us apprised of relevant state mandates that would impact our summer 2021 wedding and they recommended most of the vendors we ended up working with and loving. Both of them made themselves available via Zoom, phone calls or texts for our many questions. Most importantly, they stayed on top of all the essentials as we were getting closer to the wedding and helped us execute the wedding of our dreams. All our families and friends cannot stop talking about how beautiful, well organized, and fun the wedding was. Bringing Favored by Yodit on board was the BEST decision we made and they are worth every penny!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Yodit and her team on our wedding. Yodit is definitely a force within the wedding planning industry. She brings to the table an immense amount of knowledge, flair for what makes sense, and resources. She is extremely professional and organized. She provides a client checklist which provides step by step guidance through the process. She makes herself available to her clients which makes her a huge asset, because planning a wedding (ESPECIALLY IN A PANDEMIC) can be super stressful. But because she is so personable and open to communicate, she alleviates that stress. Because of Covid, our wedding date changed several times and the concept behind what we wanted to do also evolved over time to meet the constraints of the pandemic & just overall esthetic. Because of the constant changes, we had to act with a fluidity that most planners probably could not have handled, but Yodit handled it with grace! Every time something changed, she rolled up her sleeves and rolled with the punches to get the job done! And she most definitely understood the assignment and did what needed to be done. When my wife walked into the reception for our first look of the space, she was speechless. Every specific want that we wanted was there. Yodit’s acute attention to detail ensured that every element that was important to us as a couple was represented…even down to the smell of the room! (Me as the groom takes credit for that) She transformed that space and sealed the deal to make that moment magical, sexy, and chic. Thank you Yodit! Her access to multiple vendors is also a huge plus! Fluffy Thoughts Bakery did our cake. It was amazing and they also listened to our wants regarding cake design. 27 Studios did an amazing job with draping the room and transforming the space. Our photographer, Rhea Whitney, she was also an absolute pleasure to work with and professional throughout the whole process. The Favored By Yodit team was worth the money spent. Without a doubt, Yodit has been a godsend to us! She is truly a gifted and talented wedding planner. If superwoman is real, then her name is Yodit! At the last minute, after having to postpone our wedding 3 times, we were connected to Yodit, who was still on maternity leave! She recognized our plight of having to manage over 40 vendors from all over the country along with the uncertainty of city mandates around covid and jumped in to save the day! Yodit has so much experience and has developed such wonderful relationships with the best vendors that she was patiently able to help guide us in planning and executing the wedding, including 3 full days of an elaborate set up! The city didn't open up to allow for weddings for more than 10 people 5 days before the wedding and our backup plan of having it outdoors was threatened due to the weather forecast of RAIN! She went over and beyond to give us options and most importantly, was compassionate and empathetic. Even though she has other clients (and a new baby!) she made us feel like we were the most important couple. She was amazing, kind, professional, attentive, on point answering back to emails, calls, changes and concerns. You all made our wedding beautiful and more than what anyone could have expected! Getting to work with Yodit was such a blessing! She is radiant and will be able to handle anything that can possibly dampen your day (and she'll probably make sure you never even know about it!!). We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team of professionals to make our day the most amazing day. We are on cloud nine!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with the Favored By Yodit Events & Design team - the result on the wedding day was well worth it (from the aesthetics, seamless flow and support). It is clear she has an excellent relationship with many vendors around the DC/MD/VA area as they were always so excited to work with us knowing she was our planner. Although our wedding plans changed drastically due to Covid-19, Yodit worked to make our event as special as possible and quickly gave us feedback on modifications while still meeting our initial vision. I highly recommend working with Yodit and her team! We initially were thinking of just hiring a day-of planner (we consider ourselves "low key") but we are so so so happy we hired her. Favored by Yodit is a miracle worker. Planning a cross country wedding comes with its own set of challenges but my husband and I felt none of them. Her professionalism and sweet demeanor kept us calm and totally secure in her abilities to pull it off even when we had to tighten up our budget and had a “surprise” change of venue. We had the wedding of our dreams and we know it would not have been possible if not for Yodit and her team.

When we began wedding planning, we knew we didn’t want a cookie-cutter event and were looking for a wedding planner who could step outside their comfort zone and go on a journey with us. First I have to say that our wedding was beyond what we had imagined or dreamed of, which has a lot to do with the Favored by Yodit team. Yodit was nothing short of amazing! She goes above and beyond to ensure that your wedding is everything you want and then some. She surprised me with a picture of my mother for my bouquet the morning of the wedding when I told I didn’t have time to get it printed! She ensures that she understands your big picture while still making sure details do not fall through the cracks. She made herself very accessible and never made us feel like we were bothering her, even when I was being a bridezilla and texting her in the middle of the night! Yodit also was very honest with us about what was within our budget and when we were not being realistic. But mostly, Yodit always made it very clear that she was on our side. She dealt with vendors and made sure that we were getting fair pricing and fought for us! It is very reassuring to know that you have a professional on your side during a process that can get confusing and hectic. She helped put our hearts at ease. And this is all before the wedding day! Now on the day of, I can't stress enough how professional, how alert, how friendly and amazing the entire Favored team was! Having to wrangle a bridal party of 23, a guest list of over 400 people and two families with strong personalities, the entire team was calm and kept us laughing on our special day. Every step of the way, the team made us feel supported and took all of our worries away. The team allowed us to focus on us and our guests, while the rest of the wedding was on auto pilot. Never did they show us all of the stress that was happening behind the scenes! They were right there when we turned around and needed them, but gave us space to enjoy everything! If you're looking for a planner from nuts to bolts, choose Yodit and her Favored Team. She literally made our wedding dreams come true -- by suggesting professional vendors, corralling our large wedding party on the day of and keeping my anxiety at bay. On my wedding day, I literally worried about nothing; and my bridal party and family felt taken care of! They all said so afterwards. I'd definitely hire Yodit again (but I'm not getting married again! #ForeverEver Woot!) but if I could, I would.

Hiring Favorite by Yodit and her team to be our event planners was one of the best investments we have ever made. At the beginning, I was very hesitant about getting a planner due to the financial commitment and not understanding what event planners offer and trust them. The true value of an amazing team and planner can be seen on the day of the wedding. It’s an amazing relieve to have someone not family related to be primary contact that all your vendors’ questions and concerns will go through. While Mona and I were focusing on the day of our wedding Yodits teams were able to verify and assure delivery from the vendors. Having a timekeeper and making sure we will be able to complete the program without going over time as you might get lost in the moment of celebrating, was extremely helpful. while we were leaving they made sure that we have a plate for us to take back to our hotel and eat. Throughout the wedding planning process, we have built an amazing family that understands your vision and expectations. They were able to accommodate our different time zone, schedules, answering all the questions or setting up meetings with vendors. I attest to anyone that the executions were far more than what we have anticipated. All of our guests that we have talked about since the wedding express to us our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended. FavoredbyYodit events took our love story and created the most spectacular and romantic event any bride could ask for. From stationery, venue, florals, color scheme, and design the entire ambiance was captured in each and every detail. Hiring Yodit from Favored by Yodit Events and Design was one of the best decisions we made. I HIGHLY recommend all brides hire a day-of coordinator. It made the day so much more enjoyable, and definitely reduced our stress levels. Trust me, It's worth every penny! Yodit was a great resource to have especially because we had a destination wedding (we are from Toronto, Canada but our wedding was in Washington DC)she connected us to some amazing vendors, we had several of them...an amazing caterer Dama, and incredible photographer (Judah Avenue Photography) florist, an incredible cake baker (Fluffy Thoughts), an amazing team of bartenders and serving staff (Mixin’ Mimi), and it was great to NOT be the go-to person for all of these people on the day-of. Yodit from Favored by Yodit Events and design, helped alleviate our stress leading up to the wedding by providing helpful tips and resources that kept my husband and I on track for our big day. During rehearsal day she made sure all of our attendants, including the little ones (ring bearer...), knew exactly what they were doing. On our wedding day, we knew we had absolutely nothing to stress about because Yodit and her team were on it. Every little detail, every step of the way. Yodit and her team at Favored by Yodit Events and Design went above and beyond to ensure our large, multi-cultural wedding was absolutely perfect. From the beginning, Yodit worked with us to create a planning package that met our needs and budget. She helped take the guesswork (and time!) out of choosing vendors by connecting us with excellent vendors in her network, and helped us prioritize where to allocate our budget in terms of event design. Besides the color scheme, I didn’t have a strong vision for exactly what I wanted our wedding to look like, so her assistance in design and decor was so valuable. Her eye for design is really impeccable, and my husband and I were blown away when seeing both the ceremony and reception venues post-decoration. Day of, Yodit and her team were just outstanding- from making sure I had water even before I knew I needed it, solving a last minute issue with recessional music, bustling my dress when it was time to hit the dance floor, and even going our of their way to get a slice of cake for a bridesmaid who didn’t get one. Contacting Yodit was the best thing I did for our wedding. As a visual artist, I had a very specific vision for my wedding day, but at the same time, wanted my husband and family to feel a part of that experience. Yodit, not only connected with the right vendors, but also helped me stay on track. I have the tendency to get too deep into the details, but she was right there to pull me out when I needed it. She is professional, transparent, patient, and will do everything she can to make sure your day goes without a hitch.

I hired Yodit to assist me with the grand opening of my spa. I cannot express my gratitude for all the hard work she put into making my event spectacular. It was a Parisian Pampering event that was perfectly planned. I could NOT have done it without her. She worked endlessly trying to promote, find sponsorships, negotiate contracts etc. There is no BIG task this woman cant handle. The event was about 2 months ago and I still hear people talking about it all the time. The connections and opportunities she helped me create are immeasurable. My husband and I went back and forth for a while trying to figure out whether to hire a day-of-coordinator for our June wedding. We are so glad that we did and that we worked with Favored by Yodit. Initially we met with Yodit, and then also worked with Carol, who was onsite as the coordinator on the day of our wedding. They put together shared Google documents and spreadsheets where we could organize our information in once place. Carol came with us to do a walk-through at our venue to make sure we had everything covered. The day of the wedding, it was wonderful to go from planning mode to celebrating and enjoying our wedding. I didn’t have to worry because Carol was there making sure that everything was on track and guests were happy. We had an incredibly fun and joyful wedding and have since heard from guests how everything worked and went so smoothly. Our main contact at the venue had an emergency and wasn't able to be onsite on our wedding day, which made us even more thankful that Carol was there. Thank you to Carol, Yodit, and Rudy, who was the onsite assistant, for taking care of the details so we could kick, back, relax and enjoy. It was worth every penny.

Yodit is simply an amazing wedding planner! She is a consummate professional with a lot of great ideas and the PERFECT demeanor for her position. My favorite characteristic is her ability to be honest with me about the decisions that I am making. If she thinks that I am going in the wrong direction with my wedding planning, she lets me know and then provides me with options that she thinks will work better (Her options are always better). Overall, hiring her was genuinely the best decision that we made during in our wedding planning process. It's great to be Favored by Yodit!
