Yodit Gebreyes Endale is the Founder & Creative Director of Favored by Yodit Events & Design. In 2012, she launched Favored by Yodit Events & Designs with the objective of designing stylish, seamless, multicultural weddings and events to fill the void in the market. Yodit and her talented team are best known for their creative ideas, impeccable attention to detail and ability to bring the best out of vendors to make sure everything runs smoothly and turns out beautiful.
With over a decade of event planning and management experience, her passion, outgoing personality and ability to make her clients relax is what has garnered her a stellar reputation and turned into a well-known, go-to planner for making her client's dreams become a reality.

- Yodit is a calm presence. From every phone call, meeting in person, email, or text, Yodit was affirming, supportive, solution oriented, and fully confident. If I had concerns or questions about something, she was really great at providing details, answering, and confirming that I felt clear, better, or otherwise.
- Yodit is very in tune with her clients. When working with other vendors, she would often share, “my client is visual - could you please provide pictures?” In addition to learning how we processed and made decisions, she would also present vendors who she felt aligned with our energy, wedding vibes, and could work well with us and one another. She truly understands people and how they feel, react, and work together. In moments of challenge, she also prioritized how we could feel, managed any dynamics with vendors, and felt comfortable troubleshooting.
- Yodit is very open to feedback and able to have harder conversations. She values the relationship with her clients and vendors, and truly wants to be able to engage in open dialogue.
- Yodit is extremely respected in the industry. Each vendor we worked with spoke so highly of Yodit. People were very honored and excited to work with Yodit and be selected by us. In turn, the deliverables were all on point. Again, this goes back to Yodit’s relationships. On the day of my wedding, the vendors were so happy to see one an other, work with me, and invested a lot of time into making sure every detail was covered.

My husband and I were both allocated a coordinator for the day, and we cannot imagine our wedding day without them. Everything that we asked of them (so, so many things), they simply delivered without questions asked. They knew exactly where we needed to be at every point throughout the day, and I cannot emphasize enough how much stress this takes off of you. I was a pretty stressed out bride, and even the morning of, I was still feeling pretty stressed. However, when I got to my venue and saw Yodit and was then introduced to Carol, I immediately felt the stress subside. They took care of me from the time I walked through the doors until the time I made it back to my hotel that night.
There are a million and one things that can (and do) go wrong on your wedding day. However, I can’t name a single thing that I was made aware of. Yodit’s team handled absolutely everything. The schedule, the vendors, my stained wedding dress and the ensuing panic – Yodit even fed me during photos to make sure I would make it through the day! Hands down the absolute best coordination I have ever seen. My guests even felt the difference. So many of them have said “Everything just ran so smoothly. It was flawlessly executed.” This is purely thanks to the Favored by Yodit team.

Yodit has so much experience and has developed such wonderful relationships with the best vendors that she was patiently able to help guide us in planning and executing the wedding, including 3 full days of an elaborate set up! The city didn't open up to allow for weddings for more than 10 people 5 days before the wedding and our backup plan of having it outdoors was threatened due to the weather forecast of RAIN! She went over and beyond to give us options and most importantly, was compassionate and empathetic.

Yodit was a great resource to have especially because we had a destination wedding (we are from Toronto, Canada but our wedding was in Washington DC)she connected us to some amazing vendors, we had several of them...an amazing caterer Dama, and incredible photographer (Judah Avenue Photography) florist, an incredible cake baker (Fluffy Thoughts), an amazing team of bartenders and serving staff (Mixin’ Mimi), and it was great to NOT be the go-to person for all of these people on the day-of.
Yodit from Favored by Yodit Events and design, helped alleviate our stress leading up to the wedding by providing helpful tips and resources that kept my husband and I on track for our big day. During rehearsal day she made sure all of our attendants, including the little ones (ring bearer...), knew exactly what they were doing.
On our wedding day, we knew we had absolutely nothing to stress about because Yodit and her team were on it. Every little detail, every step of the way. Favored by Yodit. Initially we met with Yodit, and then also worked with Carol, who was onsite as the coordinator on the day of our wedding. They put together shared Google documents and spreadsheets where we could organize our information in once place. Carol came with us to do a walk-through at our venue to make sure we had everything covered. The day of the wedding, it was wonderful to go from planning mode to celebrating and enjoying our wedding. I didn’t have to worry because Carol was there making sure that everything was on track and guests were happy. We had an incredibly fun and joyful wedding and have since heard from guests how everything worked and went so smoothly. Our main contact at the venue had an emergency and wasn't able to be onsite on our wedding day, which made us even more thankful that Carol was there. Thank you to Carol, Yodit, and Rudy, who was the onsite assistant, for taking care of the details so we could kick, back, relax and enjoy. It was worth every penny.
