Even my mother in law, who never gets her makeup done and was hesitant at first, absolutely LOVED her makeup! Through the photos, the ceremony, and countless hours of dancing, my makeup stayed absolutely flawless all night. From the first picture to the last, it looked just as perfect and I felt so confident—proving just how worth it it was. My bridesmaids couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful they felt, and they all loved their looks just as much as I did! Highly highly recommend!

sn’t make you feel overdone or gaudy. From the beginning FBJ/Amanda was extremely communicative. She helped me figure out the services that we needed, what time we would need to get ready and scheduled my trial. My artist was Autumn and she is a gem. She took time to really get to know me as a person and the look that I wanted for my wedding day. I felt like I had known her for a long time. My very curly hair was done in a beautiful bun that stayed until the end of dancing. I have never felt more beautiful than my wedding day. She managed to hide my dark circles and give me makeup that felt natural, but bridal. Autumn also did everyone’s hair and it was gorgeous. I was also blown away by Joy her counterpart. She did all of my bridesmaids and my mom and mother in laws makeup. They all looked beautiful. Autumn and Joy were so efficient that they finished 1.5 hours early. I have never been in a bridal party that finished early. This allowed us time to relax before the day ahead. They were incredible and I highly recommend.

They added a second artist the night before my wedding and stated they would be starting HOURS later and sent over revised timeline, it was all wrong and left out multiple services from the timeline- I didn't realize this until I was on the way to my venue the morning of my wedding. They texted me 3 minutes prior to arriving that the invoice, that they completed and was paid by us, was wrong and they needed to be paid additional $$ and that they would be able to fit in all the services since they're so fast. They waited patiently for my mom to pay them the correct amount; this created a long delay and I was late getting ready. The artist was one of the owners, she rushed through my hair and it did not look the same as the hair trial, it looked like a rats nest and argued about it.... Overall, they were the only ones who caused me stress on my wedding day. They emailed me days later asking for more money since they said it was wrong again, I refused to pay. Joy was the added artist, she was really great throughout and am so thankful that she was there, I wouldn't have had time for any pictures if she hadn't been so willing to jump in and help my original artist, Amanda.

I also cannot recommend FBJ enough for boudoir photography, as Joy makes you feel more confident and beautiful coming out of the photoshoot than you do going in! Faith was amazing! She kept me calm throughout my day and leading up the wedding. Faith was always available to answer my questions and help me throughout the wedding planning process. She has a lot of experience with weddings and it show! Her suggestions were always extremely helpful. Prior to the wedding, Faith helped me pick out extensions to use that perfectly matched my hair color and looked amazing the day of. As a covid bride, I had to postpone my wedding, and Joy was happy to accommodate and could not have made it easier on us. I had a trial with my lead stylist, Courtney, and she was fantastic to work with. As someone who doesn’t wear much makeup or do much to my hair, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she was well prepared, made me feel comfortable, happily explained everything, and took the time to try out a variety of different options on things I was unfamiliar with. All of which I was so grateful for! On the day-of, Courtney and Amanda were awesome - the bridesmaids, moms, and myself all felt and looked amazing thanks to them. I did want to give a special shoutout to Sonia- She gave me exactly what I asked for even though a lot of makeup artists in VA aren't used to doing full heavy glam and hair. My wedding was outdoors and unfortunately after I slipped my dress on, it started to downpour. ven ahead of schedule which was a stress reliever! Gigi did an amazing job on the girls' makeup - they all looked so beautiful and the makeup went so well with the bridesmaids dresses. Everyone loved their hair by Dena and she made me feel absolutely beautiful for my wedding day! Not to mention both hair and makeup held up in the 97 degree heat perfectly! Definitely recommend FBJ!

wedding day was probably about 100 degrees and when I say our hair and makeup didn't budge, it didn't BUDGE! I looked and felt flawless from when my hair and makeup was done until I went to bed that night. Joy is also THE best to work with! Scheduling, questions, invoices, etc. were answered so promptly and she happy to help whenever I needed it. I also highly recommend the bridal series facials as well. They were AMAZING and I will probably keep getting facials from Joy going forward they were that great! I cannot recommend FBJ Weddings enough for your hair, makeup, and bridal needs! THANK YOU for making me look and feel amazing on my wedding day!

natural, summery, and glowy look for my wedding and lots of the other studios I looked at were a bit more traditional or glam (which FBJ certainly does too!). Joy was very communicative and clear about the services they offer from the start and hopped on the phone with me several times to talk through COVID concerns, styles that my bridesmaids wanted, etc. I did a trial three months out from the wedding and was extremely impressed with the care and time Sonia took in doing my hair and makeup. She would try something, ask if I liked it, and if not, we changed course. She was really lovely to work with and genuinely cares about her clients. On the wedding day, Sonia and Jasmin provided hair and makeup for six people each. They wore masks throughout and did a fantastic job keeping us on schedule. Everyone loved how their hair and makeup turned out, including me!

She was efficient, talented and made you feel comfortable through the entire process. Alicia was tasked with 5 members of the grooms family from the flower girl, age 5, to grandmother of the groom, age 85. Each of us had a special role and we looked and felt amazing. For the sake of picture alone having this service is 100% worth every penny. For self-esteem it's priceless. of the way. I had the pleasure of using The Studio's many different services in prep for the big day and every time it was wonderful. On the day of the wedding, Faith, GiGi and Autumn were AMAZING. All of the girls, myself included looked beautiful and felt beautiful. The 3 girls took incredible care of us and everyone's hair and makeup lasted through the night. ork with. Based on their availability and my selected hair style, Joy matched me up with Dena. During our trail, I had no idea if I wanted to do my hair all up or half up half down. Dena styled my hair in several different ways and took photos from every angle so I could see exactly how it would look on my big day. On the day of my wedding, I decided to go to with a completely different style and Dena just rolled with the punches, she was so great! After she was halfway done by hair, I remembered that I had brought extensions that I wanted her to put in, so she had to back track and make up time and she still did an amazing job! She was extremely patient and listened to my vision. Man, is this chick talented. I absolutely LOVED my look during the trial and even more so on my wedding day! On the wedding day, Alicia and Megan took the time to make each one of my bridesmaids, MOG and my husband’s sister look absolutely stunning! They were extremely professional, clean/safe (in regards to COVID specifically) and such a good time in the bridal suite! Our hair and makeup didn’t budge all night which is extremely impressive!
