All the guests raved about the food at our wedding which was also done by the chefs at Fearrington. Gilda and her team were able to give us our dream wedding even in the midst of the pandemic in a safe and beautiful way. Floral did an outstanding job despite there being issues out of their control. Cake was immaculate, beautiful and tasted amazing all while being gluten free! Accommodations for us and guests were so nice! Gilda and Fearrington Village was amazing and I can't say enough good things about the people and venue.

t believe my eyes on the wedding day because it was all a dream come true: the cake, the flowers, the decor, and the food were all spectacular, not to mention having all our loved ones in one beautiful place! We had our rehearsal dinner on the barn patio, then got married on a gorgeous spring Saturday in the gardens and had our reception in the Garden Terrace. So many of our guests commented on how delicious the food and cake was, and that it was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more-- the staff really thinks of everything, and there were countless small touches that made everything all the more special. Gilda at Fearrington is really the best wedding coordinator in the business. My husband and I felt that Gilda put her entire heart and soul into our wedding. We had the pleasure of working with her over almost two years of planning and she is incredibly helpful, kind, thoughtful, and responsive. She is absolutely lovely to work with and accommodated some unique requests for our special day. Gilda guided us seamlessly through the process of downsizing our wedding because of the pandemic, and was there for us every step of the way, even reminding us to enjoy the moment (because the wedding weekend flies by!). Thanks to Gilda, the day of the wedding was completely stress-free and I was able to be present and enjoy every single moment, knowing that she was taking care of everything. Most of all, we felt that she really cared about us as people. She worked so hard to make our wedding perfect and really went above and beyond. I know there are a thousand things she did behind the scenes, and we cannot thank her enough! I also cannot say enough good things about the rest of the staff at Fearrington. Bett and her team did a truly perfect job with the flowers. I have never seen more beautiful floral arrangements in my life, and I loved meeting and working with Bett. Kat designed and baked our wedding cake; it looked so beautiful and was incredibly delicious. We are so grateful to the entire staff at Fearrington. Everything was absolutely perfect and we would do it again in a heartbeat! We already cannot wait to come back to celebrate anniversaries and future special occasions.

Both the wedding coordinator and the floral designer are such lovely people - they did everything possible to make the wedding what we wanted and not what they wanted to do. o start, Gilda and her team went above and beyond all of our expectations. From the magical ceremony on the steps of the garden to the flower arrangements Bet created, to the gorgeous and tasty cake Katherine designed and baked, to the stunning plated meals. Brian tackle all of our seating chart changes, even the one minutes before, like the pro he is. Every recommendation Gilda made was impeccable. From Krystal Kast who we adore to John Oliver our chaplain, to Arioso Strings who played throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour. I truly wish I could hit rewind and marry Omar at Fearrington a hundred times over. Our original plan was to have a “small” 150 person wedding until an unplanned global pandemic hit. Plans changed, and Gilda was there ready to not only take on any challenge we faced but to knock each of them out of the park. Gilda and her team cultivated our unbelievably special weekend so responsibly, keeping our guests safe, while allowing us to forget what was happening around the country for a moment to enjoy our new chapter. Gilda McDaniel was calm, confident and invaluable as they made new plans. We moved everything outdoors, planned a new ceremony in the Fearrington Gardens, and two separate outdoor dinners for immediate family and the wedding party. Fearrington Village has numerous beautiful spots for photos, cocktails, and gatherings which allowed for safe social distancing, but still felt magical and special. The whole weekend was so fun, beautiful and perfect, that I cannot imagine their wedding any other way. Gilda thinks of everything and seems to be in multiple places all at the same time. Bett Foley and her team created the most beautiful floral arrangements. The food was amazing and every staff member was incredibly helpful and professional. My advice is to stay on the property, reserve the Grand Suite for the bride (it is amazing), trust Gilda and the Fearrington team, and relax knowing that everything will be done to perfection!

TANDING, they truly have it down to a science. Gilda, Fearrington's event planner, is a machine. I've never seen one human manage to be in so many places at once. She is all business but cool, calm and collected at the same time. Fearrington takes care of just about everything which makes the planning process so much easier - from flowers, to cake, to food and drink. My guests raved that it was the best reception food they've had by a long shot. Fearrington really made my fairytale wedding come true and they were lovely to work with the entire way. I'll be making trips back for years to come, it is such a special place!

Gilda is a MAGICIAN when it comes to wedding planning. My husband and I joked that we never saw her the day of the wedding, except when we needed her, and she just popped up at the right time. The cake was the best dessert I've ever tasted, the flowers were beautiful, and the FOOD WAS THE BEST WEDDING FOOD EVER. So many of our guests have raved about the food. If you are lucky enough to snag a date at the Fearrington, please... do so. And stay on property. I cannot wait to come back and celebrate our anniversaries at the Inn!

She was responsive, straightforward, but also incredibly helpful in guiding us through all of our questions in planning the wedding, sharing her expertise and years of experience. Between the Garden Terrace for the ceremony and Barn for the reception, we were prepared for any type of weather. Even though we had our wedding in the heat of early August, guests loved having the chance to explore the gardens and check out the belties! We were also thrilled with the station setup we chose - the restaurant was able to prepare off-menu options for guests, and is generally well-known in the area for its top-notch food. We are still receiving compliments from our guests. Finally, the staff was incredibly helpful - Fearrington provided the cake and flowers, both of which helped make our wedding the amazing day it was! I would wholeheartedly recommend the venue and only wish the day hadn't flown by as quickly as it did.

The venue itself is immaculate. Every decision is essentially in house which makes everything seamless but what isn’t covered by Fearrington (music, transportation, photography, videography etc.) can be accomplished through suggested vendors or on your own accord. You have the autonomy to make your own decisions. My one piece of advice: listen to Gilda’s suggestions. She knows that venue like the back of her hand. If she mentions something may be best- she’s probably right (at least that’s how we felt). I wish I could relive it all because it was just so wonderful.

But the one greatest asset of Fearrington, bar none, goes by the name of Gilda McDaniel. Wedding coordinator extraordinaire, Gilda has a depth of experience rarely seen in this business. Her wisdom is outdone only by her patience, Zen calm, warmth, and professionalism. She makes a Fearrington wedding worth every penny. From our experience, Gilda can handle with aplomb just about any situation, and can provide free and reasonable advice on all aspects of the affair.

Mary, the florist, was incredibly kind, generous and did incredible work. She went out of her way to help us with things she didn't have to help us with. Gilda, our wedding coordinator, was professional, organized and thoughtful. She helped us think of things that we would never have thought of that made our day even more special. We are so grateful to this team for the hours of endless work they put toward our wedding - on a holiday, nonetheless! Thank you, Fearrington for everything. And you can rest in confidence that all of those details will be absolute perfection. We booked Fearrington because I already knew their reputation (I work in the wine biz) as the best in the business for food/wine and they absolutely lived up to their reputation for weddings as well. As great as the whole venue is, the most amazing part of our wedding came down to one incredible woman: Gilda McDaniel, the head wedding coordinator for Fearrington. Our photographer, who shoots many weddings in the area and at Fearrington, told us that Gilda is the only wedding planner she knows who absolutely loves every single wedding she coordinates, and is the only planner who actually stays until the end, handling and managing each wedding from start to complete finish. Gilda certainly did so for our wedding. Fearrington does many weddings, and they have the process down to a tee, professionally. But they are the opposite of a wedding factory. Every single wedding is incredibly special to them, and we felt that in spades. We felt very special and honored because we really were very special and honored. I don't think you could say that about most wedding venues. They also accommodated some special requests that were certainly unusual. And they did so happily. If you are considering getting married at Fearrington, do it. You won't regret it.

staff was, and we cannot even summarize our list of why Fearrington was awesome to fit on a page, but we will try. 1. It is gorgeous. Just seriously gorgeous. 2. It's a one stop shop where you can get ready, take pictures, have a ceremony, enjoy cocktail hour, and have a great reception without hiring a limo or a bus and having to worry about traffic. 3. The staff, from the planners like Gilda, Mary, and Caitlin, to the Inn staff, to the bartenders, were funny, friendly, and helpful. They took care of everything (even our dogs!). 4. Our dogs could be in the ceremony and stay in our room. 5. The food was incredible. 6. Planning was easy and we got every, single thing we wanted. 7. Beautiful back up ceremony site if there's rain (which we didn't need, but would have been totally fine if we did!). 8. You are a special, unique bride, but the staff does enough weddings that they know how to support you. 9. Did I mention it is gorgeous and the staff is just incredible?

Every time we visited there, they all made us feel so welcome and were so accommodating to our needs. They made our daughter's day truly magical! We didn't have to worry about anything and the whole day was absolutely flawless. We absolutely love Fearrington and highly recommend this venue for a spectacular wedding and reception!

e loved how the cake tasting was done and all the flavors were delicious. The floral designs by Mary were simply exquisite. I don't believe I've ever seen flowers so beautiful and numerous guests have written or called me to say the same thing. Mary and our planner, Kast Events, and other vendors Get Lit Lighting, Party Tables, CE Rentals, Greenhouse Pickers, and Cottage Luxe turned the barn into a show place that made us all teary when we saw it. I spent the night at the Inn the night before the wedding and the Fearrington team made sure the bridal party had sandwiches, water, and what we needed as we prepared for the wedding. Fearrington was the right decision for us.

ceptional. Starting with Gilda McDaniel, the wedding planner - she's smart, artistic and supremely capable. We felt like we were in total pro hands the whole time - she got our somewhat non-traditional vision and executed seamlessly while providing guidance when we needed it. She coordinated our vendors, came up with a super creative bustle for my somewhat unwieldy dress and came up to Matt and I and said " there's an unbelievable full moon out there - want to sneak out for a quick photo op?" She was there when you needed her and executing behind the scenes when you didn't inspiring full confidence and taking any stress we may have had out of the evening. Mary Stevens is a true artist when it comes to flowers, greenery and design. We wanted minimalist glam with lots of fresh greens, ivory flowers and candlelight. The Fearrington Barn looked magical - we had towering column birch branch and hydrangea arrangements draped in tea light candles. She cut down fresh stumps and topped with candles to adorn the fireplace in the ceremony room and put together the most beautiful magnolia leaf draping across the mantle. It was stunning. Finally, the food served in the venue by Chef Colin Bedford is the same level of quality as the Fearrington House restaurant which is unbelievable for wedding food. We heard from a significant portion of our guests that it was the best wedding food they've ever tasted. Literally the one regret I have from my wedding was not eating more of the food! Too much dancing and talking to do! This place is magical - I would highly recommend the Fearrington as a wedding venue.

She was in constant contact with us through out the whole planning process and that was so very very comforting! Fearrington also provides a preferred vendor list which was so very helpful! We chose our photographer(Krystal Kast), hair and makeup(onLoKtionMakeupArtistry/Pam Hung) and transportation(EcoStyle Transportation) off their list and had stellar service from all three!! Fearrington handled everything else!!...reception food/bar, flowers, cake, lighting, table/chairs, bridal suite, bridesmaids/groomsmen changing areas with room service...and of course, THE most perfectly beautiful settings around their grounds for any size and vibe of wedding be it inside or out...with our early March date..they were ready with an indoor/outdoor plan depending on the weather and we were able to make that decision on the Friday morning before the wedding!! The entire staff experience at Fearrington was on point! The cake, food, bar and set up were all stunning and top notch and the entire service staff were so very warm and professional at all times. I would highly recommend this venue as there is nothing to chance, it's all right there and you have wonderfully calming planning help and you just know it will be perfect! Gilda had everything in line and the entire day went off without a hiccup. My flowers arrived on time and were stunning. Mary is so skilled at what she does. Our guests loved our wedding as well. We received so many compliments, especially about the food. As the bride, I did not have as much time as everyone else to taste all the different stations, but I heard rave reviews about several of the dishes. All in all, if you want a beautiful fairy tale, stress free, and FUN wedding, the Fearrington is your spot.

Mary Stevens, Fearrington’s floral designer, was my other contact during the planning process. She truly took the time to get to know me and my design preferences… her floral work was EXACTLY what I envisioned and dreamed of! These women are genuine, authentic, hardworking individuals that truly made my experience as a Fearrington bride one for the books! THANK YOU for the BEST DAY EVER. There is no length that they did not go to make it a perfect day for us. We completely redesigned the ceremony to deal with the rain, and even though it was indoors, it was STUNNING. The reception in the barn was also to die for. Everything from the food, the cake, the acoustics, and oh my - the flowers! - was perfection. Gilda McDaniel helped us with our wedding, and we owe so much to her. She worked harder than I ever dreamed and truly went above and beyond. Any time I thought of something I needed, she was ten steps ahead of me. It all went so smoothly, I could not have asked for anything more. Dozens of guests told us it was the best wedding they've been to - a direct product of Fearrington. If you are thinking of having a wedding there, do it! We love Fearrington.

Mary did all of the flowers for the ceremony and reception and I could not have asked for more beautiful arrangements. She chose flowers that were appropriate for the season in colors I requested but uses her own creativity to make them more perfect than I could have requested! Paola did our cake and we savored each layer (except the top!). The food was outstanding and we continue to hear from friends and family how much they enjoyed the food and ambience. Despite a downpour between the cocktail hour and reception start, staff at the barn welcomed guests inside in advance of the rain and quickly adapted to the situation. They sent umbrellas to our wedding party and helped us get to the barn without getting wet! We still managed to get outdoor photos in the beautiful gardens and were then welcomed into the barn, which was like a fairy tale. We stayed at the Inn after the wedding and could not have asked for a more opulent room. We were greeted with champagne and a slice of each layer of our cake and some snacks. The room was the nicest we have ever experienced and would highly recommend their 5-star inn to others. We will cherish the memories of this day forever and are immensely grateful to everyone at Fearrington who helped make our day so special.

Our reception was held in the Garden Terrace and we had use of the cobblestone patio for our cocktail hour. Honestly, this place is one of a kind and we were all happy that this was the selected location. Included in the venue are the catering by the Fearrington House Restaurant, the florist, the cake baker, and the wedding planner. Each individual was wonderful to work with and made our wedding extra special. Cheryl-Anne Kast was our wonderful wedding planner! Since this was the first wedding in our immediate families, she offered wonderful suggestions and lent her expertise many, many times! She was a calming, organized, and positive person to have plan our event. She was extremely responsive to emails and really took our vision and made it come to life. She used all the details I had made for the ceremony and reception and ran with it. The event turned out one million times better than I could have ever imagined. During the event, she was easy to find and very helpful. Mary Stevens was the florist who worked with us at Fearrington. She is not only the sweetest person on Earth, but a phenomenal florist who took our vision of colors and created the most beautiful bouquets and centerpieces I have ever seen. Not only did my photographer and makeup artist comment that the flowers were possibly the most beautiful arrangement they’ve ever seen, but our family and friends commented on the centerpieces at the reception. Mary was conscious of cost and really worked to make gorgeous arrangements that still fit in our budget. Mary truly made our event a stunning one and I am so grateful for her! Our cake was delicious! Emma Isakoff created a three-tiered cake that was incredible. She even worked with Mary Stevens to make the cake beautiful. We had carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream filling for the top tier, coconut cake with dark chocolate ganache as the middle tier, and vanilla cake (gluten free, but even our guests couldn’t tell!) with strawberry jam and cream cheese buttercream filling. We can’t wait to eat her cake again in the future and plan on having her recreate one of the tiers for our first anniversary! We had full use of the grounds on the day of the wedding and our bridal suite was magnificent! Our guests have not stopped commenting on how beautiful this place was. We are so grateful that we chose Fearrington Village for our wedding location! My only complaint is that when Cheryl-Anne left for the night, the catering manager who took over for her was not as helpful. He was frequently absent and there were quite a few bumps in the road. For example, I often had to look for someone else to help me look for the sparklers for the exit, my bouquet to toss, and we never ended up getting cake slices saved. He also did not organize the clean up process, which left my family confused. However, this was in no way Cheryl-Anne's fault, she was truly great!

. The accommodations were wonderful, they gave us a complimentary upgrade because it was our honeymoon, and the food was amazing. Dinner was delicious (pricey though), but the complimentary breakfast really was incredible. I would definitely do this again. Maybe for our anniversary...

We used the spa, too, which was terrific! Everything was wonderful and the guests couldn't stop talking about the food! It's not inexpensive, but we really felt we got our money's worth.
