Ruét Photo

ly, kind, supportive people to work with, and timeless, classy, candid, film photography. Ruet photography exceed both of those expectations. Kelsey and Talon are incredibly lovely people. They are a very professional, talented, and hard working. They are also so warm, down to earth, and fun to be around. Originally, we had planned a wedding in Austin. But, when we decided to abandon that plan, cut down our guest list to the 20 most important people in our lives, and travel all the way to Italy for a destination “mirco” wedding, they were our very first call. They were so supportive and didn’t hesitate to join our sudden and massive change in plans. They made that transition so seamless. For our big day, Kelsey & Talon fit in with our team so well. In the bridal suite, Kelsey routinely showered me and my bridesmaids with compliments and support. My husband and groomsmen were so grateful for Talon’s direction and calm presence. During the ceremony, Kelsey and Talon were completely invisible and we were able to completely live in the moment. After our ceremony, Kelsey and Talon had a plan to capture all the most beautiful and special places throughout our rustic Italian venue. Our wedding photographs are now some of our most special possessions. We are utterly speechless. Kelsey and Talon captured all the most special and candid moments, big and small. Every time we look at our photos, we are transported back to the venue and back to all of our emotions of the day. I was so happy to see all the candid smiles, laughter, tears, hugs, chit chats, dances, and quiet moments. We are also blown away by how they captured the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. We loved the creativity and artistic style in the editing process while also maintaining the authenticity of the people, scenery, and atmosphere. We’re completely obsessed. I could not recommend Ruet enough. We loved every moment of wedding and are so grateful Kelsey and Talon were there to capture it.

nergy to the wedding weekend itself- a must, on such an important occasion. So glad we had them on our team! <3

hrilled!!! I keep looking at the photos- they are so beautiful. They both have such an amazing eye and an ability to capture the essence of special moments. Beyond their talents, they are great people and very easy to work with. Thank you so much Kelsey and Talon!!

ography that truly captures the feel of your day is soooooo important. Kelsey and Talon are absolute artists, their eye for unique composition and beautiful colors are INCREDIBLE. My husband dabbles in photography and was very picky as to what photographer we chose for our wedding. Feather and Twine were the only ones we found that he felt drawn to. They didn’t just capture photos of our wedding. They captured moments, feelings, and “vibe” as silly as it sounds. They are very personal and take time to get to know what’s important to you, in order to capture your day in a way that’s unique to you. We get compliments on our wedding photos all of the time. Seriously, book them and book them fast.

er and Twine for their consistency in editing style, skill in taking both posed and organic portraits/event photography, and their film + digital hybrid approach. We ended up having to reschedule our originally planned wedding twice due to the pandemic, and Kelsey and Talon worked with us easily through all of that as well as documented our minimony we had on our original day with immediate family in June 2020. We finally had our big wedding celebration in July 2021 with the rest of our family and friends, and it was so fun to work with them again on this second special day. Kelsey and Talon make you feel like old friends and comfortably get you in poses while encouraging organic moments. My hats off to them for dealing with our large and numerous groupings for my extended family like pros as well. Wedding day schedules can be hectic, but they make them feel so breezy and keep you relaxed and having fun through the process. They are the best of the best, and you will be so lucky to have them as part of your team on your wedding day!

me through their craft. As an artist and designer myself, the photography of our wedding was the most important element. And they delivered! Kelsey & Talon carefully suspended in time every precious wedding memory we could have wanted and more. They captured every emotion and whimsical precious moment with such attention to detail and talent. It is such a delightfully magical experience to be able to relive our wedding day through their cameras! While our hearts broke when we were forced to reschedule our wedding originally for April 2020, Kelsey & Talon acted as a calming Northstar and helped guide us to an easy solution to get every vendor on board with a new date. The best investment we made! You cannot put a price on the talent needed to fully capture your story to create precious heirlooms to cherish, share, and pass down for generations to come.

ur wedding pictures each week and we got married last November - that's how in love we are with how they turned out! Kelsey and Talon captured all the best shots from our wedding day and created pure magic with our photos. They're also just awesome genuinely kind people that make you feel like you've known them for years and they made wrangling all of our 1934772 family members for photos so quick and easy. We're so SO happy they were our wedding photographers and we're incredibly grateful for Kelsey + Talon and our beautiful photos that we'll love and cherish forever!

agement photos but especially our wedding photos came out above and beyond what we had expected. We had a couple snafus with a few of the photos but F&T were immediately able to remedy the situation. We can't thank them enough for capturing the day so beautifully. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a fun and professional photography couple!

rature with updated recommendations for executing your wedding. We shot our engagement photos with them and Kelsey & Talon are so easy to vibe with. We felt like friends and not clients! We'd recommend them to anyone wanting timeless and beautiful photos.

r photography online here and on their website, they are extremely talented and truly have a gift, which we should be so thankful that they are sharing with the world! Absolutely incredible work! The work speaks for itself - absolutely gorgeous way of capturing light, personality, and I could just go on and on! But what I find to truly make them the best photographers out there is their amazing personalities! They were wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process and were the best team to work with on our wedding day. Let me break down for you why: 1) Kelsey and Talon met us for coffee before we decided to book them as photographers and after our initial meeting we knew we needed to look no further. They were warm, kind and very passionate about their work. They also asked us all of the questions we did not even know we should be thinking about and helped guide us through the process - I loved that they did this for us because we really needed it! 2) They are extremely communicative and helped to walk us through timelines, give recommendations, answer our MANY questions we had -- when it came to planning and keeping things smooth and stress free we were grateful to have Kelsey & Talon to guide us. We also used all of their vendor recommendations and are so glad we did! They have such a beautiful network here in Austin (and beyond! but our wedding was in Austin) and that is a testament to who they are as artists and small business owners. 3) They are so sweet & kind, but can also be diplomatically direct when needed - this was so important for our families to get them in sync for large photos- and it is truly a gift! They are the types of people you need on your big day to get the job done while also making everyone feel incredibly at ease and keeping things on schedule. Seriously - this is a gift and worth the investment in and of itself! 4) A few weeks before our wedding we were able to meet up with them again to walk through our timeline and some questionnaires. They are extremely organized which allowed for our wedding day to be well thought-out and run smoothly because we were all on the same page. They also coordinated and worked beautifully with our Videographer DavidLe (I'll write his review soon too) and just goes to show that they think through everything! And on our wedding day they seemed to be everywhere and no where all at the same time - never intrusive, but always able to capture the intimate moments. Once again another beautiful gift we didn't realize would have such a positive impact on our wedding day. 5) Lastly, let us just say that they both have such beautiful and kind souls and working with such a beautiful married couple is an inspiring thing to have throughout the wedding planning process . They think about their impact on the world, the impact they have on their couples and they are just amazing humans that make the world a better place. When we were hiring and planning for our wedding we wanted to support businesses that we believe in and people who we wanted to invest in. Kelsey and Talon are worth the investment and we will continue to support them in the future. Hiring Feather & Twine will be the best investment you make - so run and book them now! Thank you, Kelsey & Talon, for all you did!

t it would be a treat to work together. They shared a sample of their work and took the time to get to know what I was looking for out of our wedding photos, even offering to share a Pinterest board to collaborate on the aesthetic. I immediately knew these were our photographers -- they were so kind, funny and attentive and also brought a lightness that helped alleviate my nerves. It didn't hurt that I felt like they were kindred spirits to my husband and me -- from their taste in music to their love of board games! Kelsey & Talon are not only some of the most creative and talented photographers we've ever met, but we also consider them good friends at this point! They came to our engagement session and wedding day with excitement and ideas on the best locations, poses or methods to capturing our love. Even when Grant and I were at a loss for how to express ourselves, Kelsey & Talon knew the right words to say, music to play or prompts to give to elicit the best outcomes. On our wedding day, they kept us calm and present while bringing an infectious passion for love. They captured every last detail of our special day and those in-between moments are what we cherish the most!

o get to know Alice(bride) and myself with a video call. We shared playlists that they were into and that we were into just so this whole process could be more personalized to what we wanted. For the engagement photos, not only did they pick a great spot in Austin, but this process really became a rehearsal of sorts for our best angles and made sure we were comfortable with Kelsey and Talon before the big day. Leading up to the wedding day, we changed our request for timing to extend our venue later into the night, and they were both so understanding and easy to work with. During the wedding day Kelsey and Talon were perfect in getting group photos and then taking both candid and staged photos throughout the night. Some of our guests didn't even realize they were around during parts of the ceremony, but were surprised they showed up in so many amazing photos. Once we got the photos back, Alice and I literally looked at the photos every day for weeks. They couldn't have come out any better. Kelsey and Talon were able to capture every important moment and the emotions where we didn't even need a videographer. All of our friends and family were equally amazed by the quality of the photos. We are sad the whole wedding process is over, but are looking forward to any event we need photographers so we can work with Kelsey and Talon again.

g our engagement photos and on our wedding day! They captured every emotion and memory and are just simply the best!!

so happy Kelsey and Talon are the ones we chose! We renewed our vows in Portugal, and Feather and Twine were the best investment. They are experienced travelers, destination photographers, and overall incredible. As a wedding photographer myself, I was constantly impressed and so happy with their services.

nly did I feel like they were my wedding photographers, but that they were my friends. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

o display and (one day) share with our children. I'm currently unable to pick my favorites to print out or put into a photo album because they're ALL so beautiful! They also offered tidbits of advice on how to feel present on our wedding day and put pieces of ourselves into so many of the details. I absolutely loved having them be a part of our day!

were professional, but also so much fun to be around and provided so much clarity and calmness during all the chaos. It felt like having two of our best friends right along side us and I can't imagine having anyone else with us for the wedding weekend!

eather & Twine you get so much more than just pictures. They sent us through a wedding playlist, a wonderful wedding planning guide and more. The engagement session was a great way for us to get to know Kelsey & Talon before the big day. It put our nerves at ease and we could see how relaxed and professional they are. They were able to get to know us as a couple and learn our style/what works for us. They are a great team! Kelsey & Talon made it all so effortless and easy. They were so much fun on the day, everyone felt comfortable and relaxed. My hubby and I are both a little awkward in front of the camera so the fact that they made us feel so comfortable was great for us. So many of our guests commented on how lovely our photographers were. It’s amazing to see how much work they did and all the details they captured throughout the day. While we were there enjoying ourselves, they were capturing every moment and detail. Words can’t express how much we love our wedding pictures. We absolutely love Kelsey & Talon - they are one awesome couple & team!

nd feel so at ease.

ing over coffee I pretty much instantly knew they were the perfect fit :) Not only are their photographs absolutely STUNNING (there's no word that even does their work justice), but Kelsey and Talon just have this warm, enthusiastic yet calm energy about them that puts you right at ease, making for such natural photos! How unique to have a married couple photography team, and I also love that they shoot in both film and digital. We did an engagement session and wedding day coverage. We just got our wedding gallery back, and I literally can't stop staring at them all. Hundreds of photos and each one is simply perfection. There's not a single photo I'm not in love with! I am blown away at how they captured each and every moment of our wedding, even sweet little candid moments between our other guests! Feather & Twine -- you are simply amazing, keep being you! Thank you for the most wonderful photos of the best day ever. You captured it all beautifully, and we will cherish them forever.

ed lots of photographers from all over the world. When I got engaged in 2016, I knew it would be a longshot since they were based in Texas and my husband and I got married in CT, but I just had to contact them. I was so drawn to their images, their ability to edit digital right alongside their film pictures, and their friendly personalities. I was completely thrilled to find out they were in our budget and even their travel fee was reasonable. I'm sure some people thought we were a little crazy literally flying in my dream photographers for our wedding but it was SO worth it. They were able to do our engagement photos as well since they had a wedding in New York last fall and were able to just drive down to us. Once we got our engagement photos back, everyone who gave me a weird look about flying in a wedding vendor RAVED to me and said they totally understood why. Kelsey and Talon's work is not something you find every day, and it is BEYOND worth it- the money, the travel, anything. Worth it! Our engagement pictures came out STUNNING, I used them in our guest book and christmas cards and save the dates and will treasure them forever! On our wedding day, Kelsey and Talon were AMAZING. Kelsey even carried tissues for me all day because I kept happy crying and needed them! She helped keep me focused even when everyone was pulling me into a million directions the morning of, and kept me on track with our timeline. They were the perfect calm and happy energy you want with you on your big day. I am so grateful that we were able to have them at our wedding and I know I will love our wedding pictures just as much as our engagement pictures because their work is pure magic. Do not hesitate a second with hiring these two!

but truly great people who walked up calmly through all parts of our wedding day. Something I never realized is how huge a role the photographer plays into the actual day and the flow of your wedding. With Feather & Twine, I always felt like I was hanging out with old friends and having a great time. For anyone looking for a photographer, this is huge! You don’t want someone bossing you around or making things chaotic. Kelsey and Talon even make my husband feel comfortable taking pictures, which is a feat in itself! On top of EVERYTHING, their photography style is absolutely stunning and exactly what I wanted captured on our wedding day. I can’t wait to see the final photos! If they’re anything like the engagements and the sneak peeks, they’re going to be awesome!!!! Thank you Kelsey and Talon! You guys are the bees knees!!!!

they are amazing. They are great at directing posing and keeping everything on schedule. My guests are nonstop asking to see photos saying they can't wait to see how they captured the wedding! They may live in Texas but they now have a fan base in central Wisconsin!

ed to use them for her wedding too! My bridal photos were such a dream - the lighting and angles that Kelsey finds are so beautiful! All of our photos are so full of laughter and joy and working with Feather and Twine truly brought that out in us! By the end of all of our wedding festivities I honestly could say we enjoyed working with them both so much that we not only will have beautiful photos to cherish, but a new friendship too! Thank y'all so much for all of your amazing work! XOXO Pam & Greg Mense
