Led by husband and wife duo Enzo and Yo, the team loves providing to-be-weds with the opportunity to learn a new skill in a fun and professional environment. Founder of Fenix Dance, Enzo has taught competitive and non-competitive dance since his teenage years. Alongside his wife Yo, he adores using his experience to bring wedding couples closer together through the joy of movement. Both competitive ballroom professionals, they have students of all ages, from 7 to 70.
Fenix Dance is available to teach dance at studios in Bethesda, Alexandria, Fairfax, and Tyson Corner. Enzo and Yo can offer one-on-one lessons for newlyweds-to-be or group lessons for the wedding party.

Owner
Enzo came to the US from southern Italy in 2015 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional ballroom dancer/instructor. He's been teaching dancing since he was a teenager, and currently he teaches both competitive dancers and non-competitive dancers including wedding couples! He particularly enjoys teaching wedding couples because it is such a joy to work with two people who purely enjoy dancing with each other and also because he loves the idea that he gets to be part of the couple's special day.

The final results looked polished and intentional without feeling overly staged or stiff, which is exactly what we were hoping for.
Yo was so thoughtful and encouraging throughout the process. She offered helpful feedback and adjustments that helped prepare us for the big day and our weekly lessons turned into such a fun little date night. We looked forward to every session!

e if that would reflect my husband and I as a couple. We were also concerned if it would add additional nerves/stress to our special day since neither of us can really dance. When I decided to go for it, we were already about 5-6 weeks out but Yo got back to us very quickly and was very flexible with our schedule. When we had the first lesson, we immediately decided it was the right choice to coordinate a first dance just because of how Yo was. We ended up doing 5 lessons with her. She was always actively ready to answer any questions we had during the lessons and through email outside lessons.
She made us feel very comfortable learning how to dance and was very patient as we learned the basics and a couple of moves. She would teach us different moves to give us multiple options to work with and actively worked with us to design a first dance that was easy and simple, yet entertaining, but would still reflect "us" which is everything we wanted from a dance lesson. If we had a hard time with one area, she would help break it down further or adjust the move that would help it feel more natural to us. By the time our last lesson came around, we were honestly a bit sad because we thoroughly enjoyed our time learning from her. When it finally came time to the wedding day, we definitely nailed our dance. I can't recommend Yo from Fenix Dance enough! It'll definitely be worth your while!
