r ability to pivot, adjust, and be a team planer throughout the ever changing landscape that is a wedding day. We worked an event together for the first time that ended up being spread across multiple venues due to weather, with lots of last minute changes and adjustments. Having Emily on our vendor team for the day meant we had one more team member, one more cheerleader, and one more positive ray of sunshine to help us navigate the day and keep the couples needs first and foremost. Plus, the gallery she got!? Incredible. 20/10 would absolutely work with again, and can't wait to!

th Emily, which began with an early chance meeting just as we were starting our wedding day planning. Early discussions with Emily left us certain that she would be the best choice for us, as we wanted to partner with vendors who would remain engaged with us through out the whole process. Emily was exactly that for us, a committed partner who really stood out relative to all our other vendors. Despite the busy wedding season, we never felt we had to chase Emily or that we were falling behind in our planning. We developed a personal friendship with Emily, and forming that relationship was immensely valuable, as the lead up to any wedding can get hectic and it’s reassuring to have another person to lean on during that time that was committed to making the day special. Emily is very detailed and organized; she first focused on our vision for the wedding and then prepped for even the smallest of details ahead of the big day. On the wedding day, she made the photography feel effortless - being creative to help us capture the best moments while allowing us a candid/natural feel. I personally appreciated that she was assertive and took charge for most of the first half of that day, ( getting ready and first look) allowing my wife and I to enjoy that special moment. The end result was a wonderful set of photographs and a well crafted wedding album that we will cherish forever. But beyond the photos, it’s incredibly rewarding to think back fondly on the person behind the camera and everything she did for us on our wedding.

ily has been amazing to say at least. Me and my fiancé met Emily while sharing an Uber returning to the resort after attending my co-sister-in-law wedding which was a very funny story; let’s just say in a short 15 minutes of sharing some details of ourselves and our wedding venue with her we all had this weirdly instant connection and the rest was history. Emily has been nothing but great. She was very sufficient in communicating with us (really me and my 🤪crazy obsession of organization) and made everything so easy while preparing for the wedding while guiding us through the process and letting us know what the next steps were. You were incredible on the day, we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and really appreciated your patience, and energy while having a bun in your oven🤰and being a full-time mom of a preschooler, you are truly a boss chick in my book. When looking back at the photos it feels like you were everywhere for all the big and little important moments. There were two photo’s you captured that will always hold a special place in my heart. One of me writing down my vows to Ny, in that moment I remember being with my emotions and having the room to myself feeling like nothing mattered. All the hiccups and stress just floated away I had no idea you took this photo; I am so thankful for it and the reminder of our love to one another. The second photo was of a ladybug on Ny’s suit. The morning we were getting ready there were ladybugs everywhere and while having a special moment with my niece about my mother a ladybug landed on the sleeve of my bridal robe and right then and there, I knew this was her way of showing me she was with us. My niece instantly snapped a photo with her phone. Why do I bring this up? In Japan, the ladybug is a symbol of good luck. They call this insect “red girl” and associate it with heaven, celestial bodies, and the afterlife. When I saw your photo capturing the ladybug it brought me to happy tears. You have a true gift and talent. You are a true professional, Emily Wilkerson, with an excellent eye! Love your work! Such amazing memorable captures by you- and a spectacular result. I can’t thank you enough for capturing all the special details of our wedding. The day was such a blur I had forgotten so much of it, and you brought it all back to life for me through your work. g what our vision for the day was and what was important to us to have to look back on to ensure she captured the essence of the day. Being in a bicultural relationship, it was really important to us that each of us and our family member’s skin tones were kept natural and unedited, and Emily did a wonderful job of capturing everyone’s natural tones. She was super knowledgeable about lighting and how to get different aesthetics and moods based on lighting and helped us to structure the day around the natural light. Zach and Emily were timely in working on our pictures and video after the wedding, and we were astonished by what they created! It was so exciting to experience our day again through the video and photos. The photos were STUNNING! We couldn’t believe that our photos looked so amazing. Emily worked with us after the wedding to go through the photos and tell the story of our day through a wedding album and carefully curated the album with our input to create a beautiful love story in photos that we can’t believe is our own! Emily’s skilled eye and creative abilities are undeniable! Likewise, our wedding video brought tears to our eyes. Zach captured all the most important moments, and his stylistic choices of footage, music, and the voice over of our vows truly wow’ed us! We highly, highly recommend this talented duo to capture your special moments! They will treat your special day or occasion with as much care as if it were their own.

e of the easiest conversations ever, almost like talking to a good friend. Zach is personable, kind, and extremely talented. He listened to what we wanted and far exceeded all expectations. We decided to get the raw footage of speeches as well as a short film from the day. Watching our mini film left both my husband and I in tears and so happy. It was beautiful to rewatch these memories, which wouldn't have been possible without Zach! We are so happy we chose Fern and Fountain for our videography!

r a year ago, to our engagement photo session, to several phone calls leading up to our wedding day, to having them capture our most perfect day. Emily was my biggest backbone during my wedding planning. Always checking in on me, giving me advice, or just having a listening ear. Her communication with me was out of this world. There was never a question left unanswered, and she always strived to make everything perfect for us. Never second guess booking with Emily and Zach. We are so happy to call these two our friends, and not just our photographer/videographer. BOOK THEM!

nistan, she was patient and pleasant to communicate with. She understood my situation, planning a wedding half way across the world is not an easy task. We talked a lot through email but we were able to work out a time that not only worked for me but also for my husband Ryan to do a video chat and well “meet”. By doing this video chat we were able to discuss minor issues/concerns that can’t quite be discussed over an email. Payments were easy to do. Once I got back to America we were able to schedule a date for Ryan and I to do our engagement photos. Emily came out to Memorial Lake and gave Ryan and I just such a happy and warm welcome! It was so nice to see and meet her in person for the first time. She was so happy to do the photo shoot and we also had our dogs with us. (Great Dane “Hades”, Pitbull “Piper”) Emily provided a guide for creating a timeline for the wedding, it was super helpfully and appreciated! Wedding day!! Emily and Julia came and freaking concord. I was stressing feeling like I wasn’t making schedule and Emily was telling me is it all good that’s what the wiggle room is for on the timeline. We did everything and some. The pictures…. The photos….The art works!!! THANK YOU!!! Beautiful, Gorgeous, Stunning, and overall overwhelming photos. If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding look NO FARTHER!!! ents. We couldn’t be at our daughters wedding because of the dangers of covid. Emily kept us in mind that day and took the pictures she knew would be meaningful to us. She definitely succeeded. She put together a blog post of that special day that I shared on Facebook. Some of the my friends comments: Romantic, loving, unique, stunning, genuine, authentic, sweet, hopeful, inspiring. I can’t wait to give this special lady a big hug.

beyond any photo they may or may not lead to: Many of the most romantic and joyful moments of our wedding day came directly from working with Emily and from her ideas. My husband is not very fond of cameras, either! Mine certainly were extenuating circumstances thanks to COVID, but she was my support, cheerleader, and ultimate wedding MVP (as cheesy as it sound). She was understanding, flexible, and forgiving when I was less than organized and plans A, then B, then C kept falling through. While our wedding day was nothing like we had planned, working with Emily was a significant part of what made it feel still feel like a celebration, rather than a consolation. All this, and still she managed to never seem intrusive to my extremely intimate, 5 guests wedding. Finally, as an example of how thoughtful and deliberate she is: When our families couldn't attend, she shared that she wanted to be mindfully taking images from a parents' perspective, something that was incredibly meaningful to my mom. I had no idea I would need all this from a photographer and never asked for it. It was Emily who created and surpassed any bar I had.

the especially cute photos, we both just feel awkward in front of the camera. We expressed this to Emily early on and she didn’t just guide us to the right poses. She used conversation and jokes to make us both comfortable and feeling natural. That’s one thing that initially brought us to her, her photos aren’t all just your typical posed “say ‘cheese!’” pictures. I look back on the pictures from both our engagement and wedding and I don’t just see the posed photos with our friends and family (although she got some great ones like that too!), I see when my husband was goofing around with his groomsman and how naturally happy they all look. I can just hear the laughter of the whole wedding party while we’re taking couple pictures and he is convinced to lay down under my dress. I see the genuine reaction on his parents face to our officiant’s joke about my husband’s inability to make a decision. More than anything, Emily captured our personalities. I still don’t know how she managed to, but she got everyone perfectly.

Family pictures can often be boring and staged, but Emily rolled with the punches and gave us great photos that will enable us to cherish the stage of life that we are currently in. We are so grateful and will definitely be coming back for more as our family grows.

to date. Emily is very communicative from day one and remains communicative even during the editing process. She spent a significant amount of time with my wife and I, learning about us and what our vision was for our wedding day. Emily checked in numerous times to give us tasks and just to make sure my wife and I were doing well with COVID going on. On our wedding day, Emily did a great job of capturing the important moments and preserving that day forever in our memories. She also allowed us both to eat during our cocktail hour by pretending to take photos of us. I was so hungry and needed water, thank you Emily for doing that! We had a pretty large wedding party, but Emily did such a great job with basically making friends of everyone in our wedding party. She was very personable and was a joy to work with. 10/10 would recommend!

Throughout the planning process, Emily was available for questions and helped us make decisions. Her calm and reassuring demeanor was a gift for this COVID bride! Get yourself a photographer with a counseling degree!! On our wedding day, Emily helped make my husband and me feel comfortable in front of the camera by asking us silly and serious questions. Her photos truly capture genuine emotion, and each take me back to our wedding day! We had a big wedding party and Emily handled their shenanigans with confidence! her for a family photoshoot as a gift to my mom and my then fiance loved the pictures so much we used her for the wedding too! We will keep going back to F&F for any photography needs we have. Emily goes the extra mile to not only get us the best product possible but to make it the best process as well. She puts everyone at ease and keeps things light and fun. She met with me prior to the proposal to help me plan and to figure out the best way to be as clandestine as possible so the surprise would go off perfectly. I'm amazed at how well she was able to capture the moment so intimately while not being invasive in the least. Emily did my husband and I's engagement and wedding photos and let me tell you having her do our engagement photos took a weight off my shoulders for the wedding because i was no longer concerned of how will my photographer be? will they be awkward? will we be awkward around them? i was now excited because i new that she was so much fun to work with and her pictures were incredible!! Emily has made this whole process easy, she offered to make the schedule for the day of for me so i wouldnt have to worry, she would message and email me many times leading up to the day to see if there was anything she could do and then on the day of the wedding she was wonderfully sweet and helpful to not only myself but my family as well!! I would(and have) recommend Emily to anyone and everyone because she is so friendly to everyone, fun, and amazingly helpful!! oh and her pictures are incredible!! (: Every time i have seen my grandmother since the wedding she has told me she loved Emily because she was just the sweetest!!

s I had. Emily went above and beyond and literally did everything she could to not only make it fun, but she really wants to get the BEST pictures. For my engagement pictures, we met Emily at a location to take the pictures. Turns out, I left my other outfits that I was going to change into at home. The outfit that I had was jeans and a cute top, but the other two dresses were at my house 30 minutes away. We took some pictures at that location with the outfit I had on and Emily followed us back to my house 30 MINUTES AWAY so I could grab them and put them on. We then went to a location close to my house and got amazing pictures! My wedding day she was there from 10:40am until it ended around 8:45pm. She worked hard to get great shots and made everything light and fun. She was also super reasonable as far as cost! When I was looking for wedding photographers, they were so expensive! Emily was way more affordable than all of the other photographers I looked at! I really encourage you to consider Fern & Fountain. You will not regret it 😊
