Wow! One of the best decisions I made for my wedding was choosing Fern Botanica. Julia and her team were truly the nicest people and brought my vision to life better than I could have imagined. She always responded right away to my emails and was able to do my final consultation over FaceTime since I couldn’t be in NY at that time. They were very accommodating, trustworthy, super easy to work with and incredibly talented! They showed up on time, stayed within our budget and created a wonderful atmosphere at our venue.

We used Fern Botanica for our October 2023 wedding at Aurora Williamsburg. As residents of Astoria, we were happy to support our local business! The wedding was small and I ordered a la carte from their website for bouquets, center pieces, corsages and boutonnieres. The process was seamless and easy. I gave my preference and referenced photos, but did not see my flowers until they arrived to my hotel as I was getting ready day-of. I knew they would be perfect and they were gorgeous, so unique! We love Fern Botanica!! As Astoria residents, there was no question we’d be asking our neighbors at Fern Botanica if they would be our wedding florist. Julia and her team knew exactly what vibe we wanted and suggested the most beautiful flowers for our fall wedding in Beacon, NY. We met several times over the course of the year while we were planning the wedding, and they were super quick to answer our emails when we had a question. Our centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres and cake florals were incredibly unique, each with its own personality. But the showstopper was our chuppah! Both sets of parents kept telling us how impressed they were watching Julia set each flower individually, removing and replacing any that didn’t seem just right. She also honored our request to remove the back posts of the chuppah and keep our flowers behind our sweetheart table as an arch during the reception. Most of all we just love how friendly, energetic and kindhearted everyone at Fern Botanica is. 10/10 would recommend!!

Such an easy experience for such an awesome result. The flowers at our wedding looked amazing and we got so many compliments on them. Julia is a total pro. She took our original ideas, helped us develop an aesthetic, and made great suggestions that really improved on the look we we were going for. The planning process was really fun and collaborative, and she and her team executed everything beautifully. We wanted a fairly minimal style, and Fern Botanica designed florals that had such a big impact without seeming overdone. Also - it feels like a small thing, but Julia is so sweet and was so enthusiastic about our wedding and florals. She came to personally hand us our bouquets and boutonnieres the morning of the big day, gave us big hugs and congratulations, was really emotionally involved - it made us feel really special and taken care of.

There are truly no amount of words to describe Julia and the Fern Botanica team and the amazing work they do! From the initial meeting with them, they made everything so fun and saw my vision. I went to their studio/storefront for our final meeting and it was the best vendor meeting I had by far - Julia is so sweet and personable and I got to see various flowers and ferns in person, how they open up the flowers, and pick out the vases for everything. The team also had done a lot of weddings at our venue so they were super knowledgeable on quantities and what it would take to get the space to look like a dreamy garden soirée without crowding the tables. We shared a same vision of every bouquet and arrangement not looking alike, having movement, incorporating color and all still feeling very romantic - they delivered on all of this and so much more, I couldn’t have been happier with all of our beautiful florals! For the day of, they were able to deliver our personal flowers first and then drop off our reception flowers at a later time. Originally, they were only going to drop off the reception flowers but I saw SarahKay there and helping to place the flowers on the table which was so nice and appreciated- definitely felt an extra bit of fernie magic with her there! Thank you to the whole team again, I couldn’t recommend Fern Botanica enough!!

Julia and the whole Fern Botanica team are simply a dream to work with. Perfect professionals and brilliant creatives, they are organized, communicative, flexible and *actively fun* to work with. Julia manages to infuse every email, meeting, and touch point with whimsy and joy. I am a big plant and flower lover in general, and because we picked a "raw space" for our wedding and needed a chuppah for the ceremony, our florist needed to play a *key* role in creating the right vibes for the whole day. Julia and her team pulled this off beautifully. Our chuppah was exactly what I wanted, and withstood a pretty windy rooftop by the river! Julia and the team were totally game to work with a tallit that we wanted to cover the chuppah and took my vision to heart. The floral arrangements, candles, and pottery were all fun, seasonally appropriate for the fall, and exactly what we'd hoped for. Fun fact - Fern lets you keep the pottery! We had no idea, and now cherish a few of the bud vases and larger pieces year-round. Can't recommend working with them enough - total dream team.

Julia and her team were a dream to work with! Having bright, whimsical flowers was important to me so I sought out florists that fit that aesthetic. I contacted 15 different florists and it was clear from my conversation and the quote Julia provided that she would be the best vendor to work with. It's hard to find words to explain how incredible Julia and her team are. We came to her with a moody vibe and an old world art inspired mood board and she brought our vision to life so much better than I imagined - everything was perfect and SO beautiful. She was so easy to work with from her very first email, responsive, flexible, and is clearly a wizard and expert at her craft. 10/10 would get married again just to have Fern Botanica create our florals all over again.

Julia was the first florist I spoke to that didn’t try to upsell me on more than what I needed. If anything she help me reduce and keep within my budget. I sent her a bunch of inspiration pictures a month before our date and she and her team captured exactly what we were looking for. I even go a tattoo inspired by our wedding florals!

We recommend Julia X 1,000 for how the night turned out. It was better than what we expected in every single way. The flowers throughout the space were spectacular and beautiful. Wow! I wish I could do my wedding all over again and hire Julia and her team. I got married on July 17th, 2022 at the palm house at the Brooklyn botanic gardens. Fern botanica was incredible. My partner and I were late to book a florist and ended up reaching out to a bunch of great florists that have worked at our venue before, BBG. Julia stood out, as she had an incredible attitude that just radiated positivity and good vibes. She got our vision right away and understood what we wanted even more so than we did. We booked ~ 5 weeks before our wedding. Julia eased our stress and made time to do a “mini mock-up” in person and run through everything with us. Her prices were reasonable given our vision. She also seamlessly connected with our wedding planner and she made sure to integrate whatever flowers / colors / reference images / details we loved, including making sure I got the lush chuppah I was hoping for. Two days before our wedding our neon sign that was going behind the dj booth basically experienced a shipping mishap and Julia and her team came through to create beautiful flower initial letters that would help replace that signage’s place. Additionally, we had hoped to have hanging installations from the ceiling but weeks before the venue no longer allowed that, but luckily Julia came up with a creative beautiful solution. Julia also did the flowers for our Friday night dinner and they were so beautiful. I can’t recommend Julia and her team enough. They’re the good vibes you want on your wedding day along with the most beautiful flowers and endless creativity. Working with Julia from Fern Botanica was a lovely experience. We went in with only a vague idea of what we may want, and a few pictures on Pinterest, and Julia & her team translated this into one of the most stunning and elegant sets of flowers we could have ever imagined, from the table settings to the bouquet. Her service was great as she helped us right-size everything for our venue and our budget, and we never felt like we were getting talked into something we didn't need - if anything, she helped us be realistic about what would look great in the space we were going to get married in without overdoing it. We recommend Fern to anyone!

Julia and everyone at Fern Botanica did such an incredible job with the floral arrangements. They took care of everything--from the table settings, to the huppah, to the bouquets--and came up with a beautiful set of arrangements that completely captured what we wanted. We particularly loved the arrangement for the huppah, which was ornate and beautiful without being over the top, and the different colored bouquets for the bridesmaids, which created a really lovely effect. And besides the actual design, they were extremely easy to work with and made it a seamless experience.

Julia and team made my vision of a perfect wedding come true. They worked on my wedding at the Brooklyn Botanical garden in March, and managed to make my ceremony and reception look super elegant and beautiful! Flowers were one of the most important elements of my wedding (personally, even above food) and I followed Fern Botanica on Instagram for a few months before we set our wedding date and I loved how creative they were. I could not possibly have been more thrilled with how absolutely GORGEOUS every little detail was. These are not your typical wedding florals (nothing wrong with that but I wanted something unique). They are so stylish and elegant and the colors were stunning. We sat and chatted about the venue, the mood, the color of my maid of honors dress and having a staircase "moment" which really outdid itself and Julia came with so many ideas that I truly never worried about my flowers after our meeting. My guests kept telling me how romantic and beautiful the florals were and I couldn't agree more. Would hire them again in a second.

Julia and the Fern Botanica team are a dream to work with. I was really nervous reaching out to florists because I am not a flowers girl. I think they are pretty but when it came to my wedding budget, flowers were an area where I was willing to be more restrained to save money, and I didn't have a clear vision and I was just nervous that vendors were going to eat me alive, or just now even want to work with us because we were only doing bouquets and boutonnieres. Then I got on the phone with Julia. Within minutes, I knew she was the one. She recommended going heavy on the flameless candles and keeping greenery on the tables to just some simple (and affordable) strands of ivy. We followed her direction and it was absolutely perfect. She was so patient with me and my husband and we literally didn't know any words for the types of flowers we were looking for. I loved my bouquet so much, I am having the flowers pressed and framed. I literally went from a girl who does not really care about flowers, to wondering how I can continue to support this business for the rest of time. Book this team. Period.

Fern Botanica designed the floral arrangements for our wedding at the TWA Hotel in early October and they were out of this world. We wanted Julia to have full creative license to design something really cool with some general input from us and she totally nailed it! Julia was so easy to work with and far exceeded our expectations. We loved her work and received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the arrangements. I fell in love with Julia’s style by stumbling upon her page on Instagram. She was quick to respond, collaborative and professional during our email exchanges. When it came time to meet and talk through our vision, we visited her shop in Astoria and she was just as amazing. Her studio was warm, inviting and full of gift-able treats. She listened to our long list of wants and came up with the perfect design that brought both of our ideas together. The flowers brought to our wedding blew our minds. They were so beautiful and set the tone for the vibe we wanted for our guests. I might have even cried a little when I saw them for the first time. We used Fern Botanica for our elopement, so we got a bouquet and boutonnière. I was absolutely in love with both. Julia immediately understood my vision (I wanted something very autumnal but not totally overboard/generic) and executed it flawlessly. She was so quick to respond to any and all questions and everything was ready on time without any worry. It was tough to find a floral vendor that would do just those specific items due to how hectic the 2021 season has been, but Fern was so helpful from the beginning. I can't thank them enough and 100% recommend - their arrangements are truly so stunning!

Between the consultation day and the wedding day, Fern Botanica was responsive to inquiries and helped me make a couple of changes and additions to the plan without difficulty. Their proposal, contract, and payment systems were super simple and convenient also! On the day of the wedding, I had a LOT on my plate; I’m sure I’m not the only bride who has felt overwhelmed on her wedding day, but… FERN BOTANICA MADE THE DAY SO EASY FOR ME. Julia delivered the bouquet, boutonnieres, and flower crowns promptly to the hotel where we were getting ready. I was blown away with how gorgeous everything was – a dream come true! The Fern Botanica team also set up a floral installation at the restaurant that incorporated our neon sign that we LOVED. Finally, I cannot say enough about how gorgeous everything was. I’m still obsessed with my bouquet and installation. Our photos are GORGEOUS – the color and texture from the florals are incredible in them. I wish I could post one here. My only regret is stressing at all about florals after hiring Fern Botanica. If I had known how easy, reliable, responsive, and incredible my experience with Fern Botanica would be, I would not have wasted a second worrying about it.

Fern Botanica was the best vendor that we chose for our pandemic wedding! Julia was with us every step of the way as we changed our wedding plans a million times. Fern Botanica provided flowers for our Chinese tea ceremony, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and family dinner party. Julia is a true artist. The florals she provided for our backyard wedding on 10/24 were absolutely breathtaking. From our small group in person, to the larger group who joined over Zoom, we have gotten so many compliments about the arrangements from Fern Botanica. She had great ideas about how to rework our original plans, and even on the day of broke down the ceremony arch to redistribute and further decorate the reception! Not only was my bouquet stunning, but she had the great idea to make hairpieces for the bridesmaids who were no longer going to be standing up at the altar with us so that they still had something special. I can not praise Julia enough! I searched the internet up and down for a florist who could bring our vision to life and she delivered!! Everyone came up to us throughout the night and days after telling us how lovely all the arrangements were, my grandma even kept our altar piece because she loved it so much lol! From beginning to end I felt like I was always chatting with an old friend, which made the whole process a breeze! Being a 2020 bride had my emotions on 1000 but Julia always had exactly the right thing to say! Truly we are so thankful that we found her and her beautiful business, we will be singing her praises for years to come!!

After booking the venue for my wedding, Fern Botanica was one of the first vendors we decided to work with. We had a vision of a modern bohemian oasis in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Julia delivered. As our wedding plans shifted throughout the pandemic, Julia worked with us to make changes to our floral design until we figured out the perfect look for our small ceremony and reception. Everything turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The mix of flowers, pampas grass, and dried palm fronds made for a gorgeous scene. Our chuppah looked stunning and Julia even incorporated a large macrame piece I made. The bouquets were beautiful and we were obsessed with the gorgeous mixed vases, blooms, and greens on each of our tables. Our guests raved about the floral design, and we were so happy with this bohemian paradise Julia created overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Fern Botanica is truly the florist to beat when it comes to custom floral arrangements and high quality customer service!

Julia helped make my wedding vision a reality!! After postponing our plans one too many times, we decided to have a small ceremony on the beach. Julia came and set up beautiful arrangements for my aisle, for an arch my husband made and created centerpieces for our tables. My bouquet was absolutely stunning! After a few questions about setting and style, everything she created complimented our setting perfectly. I am so happy that we found Fern Botanica and that she was available. She also very patiently worked with us to stay within our budget which was awesome!

Julie was amazing and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous! She completely captured my vision for my bouquet and the centerpieces, as well as the cake flowers.

After having to change our wedding plans from a large party in NYC to a scaled down backyard gathering, we truly feel that we could not have chosen a better florist than Fern Botanica. Julia was extremely helpful in bringing my (very basic, unhelpful) ideas to fruition, and her down to earth personality made her a dream to work with. The arrangements she created for our wedding were absolutely beautiful, and our guests still compliment the florals to this day. Julia and FernBotanica were a DREAM to work with! Getting married during a global pandemic, was less than ideal and Julia ran with every change and made me excited for the magic of the day (regardless of the venue). A week before the wedding I asked her to make a floral necklace for our officiant, it was pink and red ombré and as he put it “the cultier the better”. We got married in my moms backyard and the flowers were beyond perfect! Julia made the floral arrangements of my dreams appear and I cannot thank her enough!!

Ah, what more can I say than Julia is utterly brilliant! I started looking for floral designers last fall and luckily landed across Fern Botanica's page on IG. From the moment Julia and I met it was an instant connection. In a past life I was a floral designer myself and everything about Julia's aesthetic was exactly what I had always envisioned at my wedding. We discussed palettes, textures and blooms at our initial meeting and left off with one of the most detailed proposals I had seen. From that instant I put all my trust in her. We had several hiccups along the way, on my end, with our first venue falling through to the end all be all - the pandemic. The amount of uncertainty with all of these changes in our lives, she made me feel cool, calm and collected that everything was going to be okay. It was okay! Julia was insanely flexible and we talked through potential options should we need to cancel our big event. It wasn't until July when we decided to bump up our wedding date from October 2020 to Sept 2020 with a reduced number of guests. I called to make sure she was available and she absolutely was. Again, working within these short weeks she managed to wrangle in all of the details and stayed calm and we worked with the original proposal to make it happen. I can't express how grateful I am to her. The flowers were magnificent and each and everyone of my friends and family members could not stop raving about them. I am officially obsessed with Julia. Not only are her floral creations DELICIOUS AND PERFECT, but she herself is just enthusiastic, and funny. (Can we be besties now?) I gave Julia a basic idea of what I wanted...dusty pinks but not too pink, vintage but a little modern, greenery (oh, I love lavender and hate lilies)–easy, right? WELL, SHE DELIVERED. I could not stop talking about our florals; I was simply knocked out when I saw them on our wedding day (last week, 9/5/20). She gave me everything I wanted and everything I didn't know I wanted. I discovered Fern Botanica on Instagram, they have such beautiful floral designs that were perfect for our chosen venue. From the first interaction, Julia has been a delight to work with - we've now rescheduled the date for the third time (third time's the charm, right?!) and she has been so flexible, understanding and supportive. I cannot thank Julia and the Fern Botanica team for helping our tropical wedding theme come to life!!! Julia created such a chic, classy, and beautiful ceremony and reception!! I am still receiving compliments on how amazing all of the flower arrangements were! We’ve been married almost a week and my bridal bouquet still looks incredible in a vase!!! Julia was a dream come true to work with. She was so sweet and understood exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Julia is a gem of a person and an incredibly creative florist! After getting to know each other, she came at me with images of flowers and color palettes that I would never have been able to conjure up on my own. After needing to reschedule our wedding, Julia put together a new color palette and arrangements that could easily be transported from our ceremony on a boat to our reception at a restaurant a few blocks away. If you are looking for arrangements that will have all your guests ooing and aahing, look no further. We can't wait to work together again!

Julia's energy is really amazing. She is so genuine and you can tell she really, really loves what she does. Everything about wedding planning has been (and still is) overwhelming to me haha, but from my first phone call with Julia I knew she would be my favorite vendor - she's so easy to talk to and really put me at ease immediately. She also was incredibly flexible and open to discussion around costs and ways for us to maximize our budget. She even helped us find our photographers (shout out Natura Collective!). TBH I feel like she could plan an entire wedding, she's that great! We are sadly now having to postpone our 5/9/20 wedding to 4/3/21 due to the coronavirus outbreak. Julia reached out before we even had a chance to contact her to let us know she was thinking about us and ready to discuss our options whenever we wanted. She is flexible, caring, and just plain awesome. She hasn't even once mentioned the amount of stress I'm sure she's under right now, and instead has just simply been there for us. Julia killed it. My wife and I got married in late October in Brooklyn, and Julia delivered the most stunning autumnal arrangements, so perfectly balanced in tone and texture and composition. Bonus: the venue had to put up their gross vinyl winter walls around the garden, and Julia even managed to beautify those with gorgeous foliage. Another bonus: After setting everything up day-of, she even helped harried old me with non-floral tasks, and calmed me down. Throughout, she was super caring, insightful, and professional. So glad we went with her.

Julia was absolutely incredible! We very quickly aligned on a vision for the florals for my wedding and she immediately understood the vibe of what I was going for. She was always super responsive, and better yet, was willing to be flexible and work with me and my very limited budget. Day of, everything turned out perfectly and everyone was obsessed with her flower arrangements. I wanted to have lots of pampas grass and had a slightly unusual triangle arch and she totally crushed all of it. Every detail was perfect and she went above and beyond in making sure all the different arrangements could be re-used smartly in different ways through the day. It was super cost effective but also continued to give our venue an evolved look at different points. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!

Julia was the best choice we made for our wedding day! Aside from being a glistening angel from above, her floral creations are mind-blowingly beautiful and special. I gave her a general color scheme, and showed her some styles and blooms I liked,and she delivered beyond anything I could’ve imagined! Everyone had something to say about how beautiful the flowers were. She transformed our wedding venue into a dreamscape. Our centerpieces were works of art, the small flourishes around the space added so much depth to the already gorgeous designs she created, and my bouquet was beyond perfect. I was also really happy to see that she used sustainable stabilizers in the center pieces instead of floral foam, which is a testament to how much she loves and respects nature and everything that grows. She is a breeze to work with, and made me feel at ease every step of the way. She is professional and fun, and will take everything you say to heart and deliver in a big way. Julia was everything we were looking for in a florist. We didn't have a lot of money to spend on flowers and she was willing to work with us to bring the most beautiful blooms to our wedding. We sent her about 5 different pictures, exchanged a few emails to figure out exactly what we needed, and had 1 final phone call. No mock-up, we put all our trust in her artistry, and she came through 110%! The bouquets were exactly me, exactly right. Modern, classic, wild, creative, refined all at the same time. She also got us beautiful cut flowers we had requested to put together the centerpieces ourselves. It was a pleasure to work with her; I would recommend her to anyone.

Finding a florist was one process I was dreading about planning my wedding. I've never been excited about flowers, and felt like most wedding flowers looked the same. Then, I met Julia who forever changed my view on that. She helped calm my uncertainties about this process and even met up with my then fiance and I to get to know us! Fun fact, my hubby is a brewer so I always wanted to incorporate that aspect into the flowers - and she did with barley! Even the groomsmen thought their boutonnieres were cool! I can't stop thinking about how perfect the flowers were on my wedding day and am so thrilled I chose to work with Julia.
