Rich and the whole team are the best! We hired her on later in our planning process with little to nothing really finalized. She helped guide us in every way possible even with our wedding in Austin. She is great at telling you what needs to be done and never made me feel overwhelmed or anxious for anything. Also being a one stop shop we used fervent for almost everything except food & photo/video. This really helped us get to where we needed to be within our timeline. Day of was amazing too! With all the team there and rich knowing exactly what and where I needed to be I felt very confident and comfortable the whole day. My love goes out to every single person who made our wedding the best day possible! Truly a family when working with the fervent designs team.

We had an amazing experience with Rich and her entire team at Fervent Designs for our January 2023 wedding at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. I met Rich at the Houston Bridal Expo in January of 2022 and immediately knew I was in good hands. She had experience working with our unique venue and was prepared to help from our first consultation (before we even hired her)! Her meticulous attention to detail was evident in every step of the process, from invitations and vendor recommendations to multiple venue walkthroughs and personalized catering tastings, resulting in a tailor-made bespoke wedding. She came prepared to every meeting and kept us on track, ensuring every detail was considered and accounted for. We had a near disaster when our cake vendor canceled two weeks before the date and Rich skillfully managed to solve the crisis before I even had time to stress! She tactfully handled our large and boisterous family, ensuring everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there so we could focus on the joy of our wedding day and the life we are building together. I am so grateful for her ensuring our priorities were the focus - a private first meal, lively celebration, and so many little details that made our wedding feel so unique and special! Rich's professionalism and problem-solving abilities ensured a seamless and memorable celebration. We will certainly be using Fervent Designs for all of our life milestone celebrations. We highly recommend!

This review is long overdue, but we’ve been so busy that life is just now settling down. We used Fervent Designs for our wedding this past September, and it was a wonderful experience! Rich did one of my groomsman’s weddings in 2018, and I told her then she would be doing mine, too. Even though we booked Fervent Designs 15 months before our wedding, Rich was there monthly, letting us know our timeline and what we needed to do. Rich had a vendor for everything from booking the venue to the caterer, the cake, decorations, and anything else you might need for a wedding. She was very patient with us because, Lord knows, we kept missing deadlines on her calendar. As time got closer and we needed to make last-minute changes, Rich was right there with us, working it out as if it was the plan from the beginning. Finally, we got to our BIG day, and everything went off without a hitch! The entire day flowed beautifully, and if anything went wrong, I still don’t know because Fervent Designs took care of it. The assistant that my wife got, Bee, was also a lifesaver! She was there from the beginning to the end, helping my bride with her dress by lacing it up and making little adjustments so she could enjoy the night. The only constructive criticism I could give is that we would’ve liked to get our pricing for decorations a little sooner than we did. We were able to pull it off and get it taken care of, but once we found out the price, it was a scramble. I will say make sure you ask questions you need the answers to well before you need them. We had so much going on we didn’t bother to ask too many questions, and I believe that’s why decorations sent us scrambling. Nonetheless, I still recommend Fervent Designs to anyone looking for a wedding or event coordinator/planner.

I strongly suggest NOT using Fervent Designs wedding planning or their DJ services. Wedding Day execution is the most important aspect of the entire lengthy process and Fervent left us with a day of painful, humiliating memories and chaos that my husband and I will unfortunately have to live with forever. The following dreadful details were shared with Fervent’s owner, Richandra, and to which her response was either an excuse or I’m sorry. I can’t have a re-do of my wedding day so this review is intended to save other couples from a heartbreaking experience. Where do I start with the list of EVERYTHING that went totally left of our expectations? 1. A precious moment in our ceremony (planned and rehearsed) was to have our 94-year-old grandmother get up and place the ceremonial broom at our feet. This was destroyed because Richandra’s team member (who was never mentioned before the wedding day) abruptly interrupted the ceremony by walking down the center aisle and snatched the broom from grandmother. We were horrified and stunned while this happened in front of ALL of our guests. Grandmother was heartbroken and there was nothing I could do to give her back that moment. 2. Richandra gathered all our guests after the ceremony and gave an unsolicited 10 minute speech plugging her business and personal couples advice while my husband and I stood there in disbelief. It was so incredibly unprofessional, awkward, and humiliating that our wedding planner took the microphone and center stage for herself! My family said they saw the horror on my face. 3. The Fervent team Richandra brought on the wedding day was very unprofessional. Our wedding was a black-tie event and her team came dressed unprofessionally in faded shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, even pink crocs! They sorely stood out. Catering team, bar tenders etc. were all in uniform. Fervent’s team was rude & bossy to guests, were caught drinking from the bar and eating on the dance floor! 4. Richandra, Fervent’s owner, danced on the dance floor during the reception as if she was a wedding guest herself. Completely unprofessional and our guests absolutely noticed this. To add insult to injury, she did not execute table and chair placements around the dance floor as we strategically planned, which left my guests awkwardly standing all evening. 5. Fervent’s DJ services we additionally paid for was HORRIBLE. I gave him an entire playlist of music choices/songs in addition to things NOT to play (sexual/booty rap). He did the exact opposite. Didn’t play songs from list but instead played music I strategically told him not to! He was playing an inappropriate sexual song at the introduction of my father-daughter dance. So embarrassing! He completely killed the vibe I planned for our reception by playing music that did not fit our guests demographics. DJ was a waste of money. 6. Richandra enlisted a “hype” man to be on the microphone and dance floor during our reception and this was never discussed during planning. This hype man (also dressed unsuitably for a black-tie event in t-shirt & orange tennis shoes) was on a college-party level. Yelling in the mic at us (bride & groom) to get up and dance, yelling at the guests to do this and that. I was so humiliated! All of the above ultimately led me to go hide in the bathroom and cry the rest of the night. My cousin had to convince me to come out and say goodbye to everyone. Please choose from other wedding planning companies to avoid a disastrous wedding day. I’m still processing and trying to get over it.

When it comes to wedding planners, it doesn’t get any better than Fervent Designs. Richandra "Rich" Nickerson-Ukpong and her team are the G.O.A.T.!!! They planned and designed my son’s wedding (my only child), and they did a phenomenal job! Their professionalism and attentiveness to detail are top notch. We knew what to expect leading up to the wedding, because they kept us informed all along the way. On the wedding day they arrived on the scene and I instantly knew that they had everything under control. As the mother of the groom my emotions were all over the place, but they constantly checked on me to make sure that I had everything that I needed. They kept everything moving and on schedule. The reception was a fun (not stuffy) affair, and the Fervent Designs team became a part of the party. Ms. Rich took off her “running shoes” and put on her dress and heels, becoming one with the family and turned up was on!! I cannot say enough good things about this team. Weddings can be very stressful, but this group helped to make it a very “stress-free” and happy day for all. I would highly recommend them for any event that you want to go without a hitch.

Our wedding planner Richandra and her team at FerventDesigns are amazing!! They went over and above to make sure our day was perfect! They did our decorations, flowers, bussed our tables, mc'd, planned the wedding, gave recommendations for wonderful vendors and overall just made sure we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our day was beautiful and stress free because of them and we are eternally grateful!

Married 2/5/23- We love the Fervent Designs Team! I was a busy busy, anxious and stressed bride-to-be during my whole process but when I finally hired Rich and her team they alleviated so much worry and doubt. I purchased the wedding management package, because I am a do-it-all kind of person, but even having the support they offered from vendor referrals, weekly checklists, vendor communications, bridal party communications, was a help I didn't know I needed. The day of my wedding was smooth and beautiful and I didn't have to worry about the small stuff. I will hire Rich and team for my events again and again!

Rich and her crew are AWESOME, I was planning three big parties and a wedding at the same time and they came through did whatever was needed with no hesitation. All the creativity and hands on help was great, I will be using the team for the next events.

TL;DR - Enjoy your party and hire Fervent Designs to worry about the small things for you! My husband and I met the Fervent Designs team at a wedding convention and we were initially hesitant to sign up for a consultation but after talking with Richandra (Rich) we decided, “why not do it, it’s free”. The initial call went well - Rich asked about us as a couple and how we envisioned our big day going from the venue to the color schemes, etc. We told her we were planning an out of town wedding and were possibly looking for help and ended the call saying to give us some time to think about hiring her. My husband and I talked it over and decided to hire them so the next day we emailed her and signed the contract for partial planning. The first two months of our contract Rich made sure that we had our major vendors booked and gave us recommendations when needed. She also gave us an initial budget breakdown of roughly how much everything would cost which helped us see where we could make budget cuts (we also saved money by buying/hiring some services from Fervent Designs). Over the course of the next year she would send out emails checking in on us as well as sending us reminders of when things need to be done. PAY ATTENTION TO THE REMINDERS! It made our wedding day so much easier as we essentially had everything booked, planned, and paid for two weeks before the wedding. The day of our wedding I was given a bridal assistant Alyssa who was amazing and made sure I was hydrated and cooled off in the summer Texas sun. The Fervent team also did an amazing job trying to keep the day on track as much as it could. Rich made sure that my husband and I ate and had drinks during the reception, which is something most couples forget to do. She also made sure that we got to take photos with family and friends, do our plushie toss (what we did in place of a bouquet / garter toss), and our sparkler send off; all of which we had discussed with her as being important aspects of our wedding. At the end of the night, the Fervent team packed up all of our belongings and food into our vehicle so all we had to do was get in and drive back to our hotel. Keep in mind that no wedding or event will be perfect and there will always be hiccups. That said, the Fervent team helped to make the day as wonderful as possible and we are ever so happy we hired them to slay our day.

I am so thankful that we chose Fervent Designs because they brought our vision to life for our special day! They helped us every step a long the way, and left no stone unturned. Rich is simply amazing! She took the time out to get to know us, and she made sure that we were always on the same page. She provided us with resources, other vendors, and even would come with us to food tastings! She has a strong team, and provides above average service. We are grateful and thankful for Fervent Designs, and would highly recommend them to any couple that needs assistance with their wedding plans!

Rich and her team did an awesome job with our wedding back in Nov 2021. We had our wedding in a city neither one of us lived in and she took the task and made it work. She was very organized, communicated very well with all parties involved, and truly made our day run smoothly. She took our vision and brought it to life and her team was such a joy to work with on wedding day. She is also an advocate for her couples to make sure things continue to go as planned. I wouldn't think twice about rehiring her or recommending her to others.

Best Event planner ever! I interviewed several event planners and this was the only one that was truly professional all the way through and reasonably priced. They paid attention to everything we wanted and executed to a T. I had absolutely no complaints in every step of the way. Our 40th was a blast with a few surprises (renewal of vows) she happen to pull off very well. Don't look any further. You found the right one!

Fervent Designs and our main planner Rich are EXCEPTIONAL!!! My entire Wedding party were always informed of their duties and timeliness and our guests absolutely raved about how Wonderful our Wedding and Reception areas looked, Per the effort of Rich and her team! I would do my Wedding all over again and ONLY work with Fervent Designs, as they made our day run smoothly, keeping the Bride, Groom and all guests in great spirits with an exciting and professional touch!! 5 Stars through in through!!!

My husband and I had a destination wedding in Cancun, MX and it was absolutely the best day of our life. I contacted Rich because I had seen previous work of hers. The day of my wedding Rich and her team made sure that I was happy and got everything I wanted out of my day. She was so organized and made every aspect of the day a breeze. I would recommend this planner to everyone if you want someone that's on top of her game! I can’t thank Rich enough for how special our day was!

When I proposed to my now wife, I had no idea what all went into a wedding. I hadn't been to an actual wedding before. The first few weeks after we got engaged, my wife was starting to freak out, and I could tell she needed help. My wife was the first to meet with Rich and the Fervent Designs team. Things immediately got better, and then Covid happened. Rich and the team were supportive as we weighed our options. We decided to postpone to 2021. Rich and the team were great keeping in touch with us while the planning had paused. When it started back, it was go time. Rich made everything really easy for me. She sent me checklists of what I needed to do.  I don't know how she pulled off such a great wedding, but it was more than we ever dreamed.

My husband and I are blessed to have Rich and her team as our wedding planner! Rich took care of us, from our first virtual meeting up to the day of our wedding. I was a calm and stress-free bride because of her. She made my wedding ideas come true even the tiny little details. She gave us the best vendors we could asked for too. We loved how it all turned out, especially the part where we saw our guests having fun and enjoying the food, the event itself.

My husband and I are from out of state, so we knew we’d be relying very heavily on our planner to identify the best venue, photographer, caterer, etc. for the micro-wedding we were planning in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, as neither of us are very familiar with the area. In addition, we wanted the best value for our buck, as it seemed ridiculous to us to spend an excessive amount of money for an event with a guest count under 25. It was also important to have someone who would exercise the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of a Covid-19 outbreak at our event, as that was a great concern of ours as well. The Fervent Design team exceeded our expectations on every count, by making excellent recommendations for everything we needed, and in many cases offering their own in-house services that were even more affordable and just as nice as a third-party would have provided! Everything was socially distanced, and planned in the safest, and most thoughtful way so that guests could enjoy themselves and not have to worry about Covid. In addition, Rich and everyone we encountered through her have the kindest dispositions, were super professional, and just seem to really love what they do! Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was, and how impressed they were with Rich and her team. Would highly recommend her and Fervent Designs to any couple looking to have a beautiful, well-planned, low-stress wedding - during or post-covid.

From the initial meeting to when we left after our wedding she was there to assist with all of our needs. She was able to help us with getting a DJ, decorations and any extra things we needed. We have been meaning to write this review for a little over 2 years. I guess the old saying is right life does truly get in the way. We hired Fervent Designs for all of our wedding planning needs. Words can not express how Rich and her team handled the execution of our wedding. They were very professional, punctual, warm, caring, and compassionate. We would give Fervent Designs a million stars if we could. We just want to take the time out to speak about Rich specifically: She was more than just a planner she morphed into a member of our family, and we know our wedding wouldn’t have been a success without her. She kept us on schedule well before, during, and even after the wedding. Even when we wanted to go over budget she politely guided us back down to Earth. She was a friend when we needed her to be, a drill sergeant when we needed to fall in line, a therapist when we were overwhelmed, and even a referee when we disagreed. Like most of you, I was planning a wedding during COVID - unimaginable stress! Will the venue be open? How many guests will be able to attend? There were so many things to be concerned about, in addition to the normal wedding planning concerns. After getting clearance that the wedding was a go, I began working on the details of my wedding. I began looking for a day of coordinator. As faith would have it, I was connected with Rich @ Fervent Designs. After reading other reviews, I contacted Rich. I am so glad that I made the call. Rich and her team worked hard at making our vision for our day a reality! In addition to Fervent Designs being a one-stop shop, Rich and her team did an awesome job before, during, and after our wedding. Rich and her team are the best. Had a couple snags during my wedding planning process (had to switch venues and COVID!), but Rich took those issues head on and demolished them. I never had any worries about anything honestly. She's real and genuine that's what I enjoyed about her the most. She'll give you exactly what you want, but not without giving a WHOLLLEEE lot of other options first haha. She knows what she's doing and I'd trust her with any event.

I would Definitely give Fervent Designs 5 stars! Rich and her team were excellent and made my life so much easier. They are very detailed and very thorough with everything. I loved that we had a weekly checklist to make sure that I had Everything right and In time for the wedding. They fervent design as my coordinator made my wedding planning a breeze and I would definitely recommend them. I promise YOU WON’T be disappointed!

Rich and her team were such a delight to work with! She was so understanding and helpful even though we had to postpone our wedding multiple times due to my husband's deployment since he is military and surprise baby after his deployment. She always made us feel that our family (us and baby) comes first and everything else will fall into place no matter what challenges came our way. Let me just say, no matter how many times I say the words, “Thank you!”, I don’t believe I could never truly thank Rich and the Fervent Designs Team enough for making my wedding day beyond special. For the most part, the wedding was planned, but those fine minute details that helped set the day over the top was all Rich! This was the best choice we made for celebrating our Church Wedding/10-year Anniversary Vow Renewal! Richandra (and team) totally catered and customized her event planning skills to fit our unique event, held in our church and then our very own backyard. You will not regret hiring this awesome company! Everything from start to finish was handled very professionally and very thoughtfully. The “day of” matters were executed with care and precision. All of this allowed my husband and I, our family, and our friends, to truly be present and enjoy our night fully and stress free. Having Fervent Designs be a part of our special day was the best investment and decision. Our wedding was 05.10.19 and Richandra went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. It was so stress free not having to deal with vendors and all the behind the scenes stress. Richandra fights for her brides and makes sure on the day of everything goes smoothly. On the actual day of the wedding I had Ashley (Fervent Designs) as my assistant/right hand to help the bridal party stay on task, get dressed, photos, etc. So many special moments and touches that made our day that more memorable.

On the day I had my first in person consultation with the owner of Fervent Designs, I new my search was over! Really... Richandra, was the first and only wedding planner my husband and I met with. I just knew she was the right fit for our vision. I'm glad I followed my spirit because during the planning process she was organize, prompt, passionate, and a great listener to what was important to us. On the day of our wedding I was amazed as the Fervent Design team came together to convert the center into a wedding venue and than into a reception fit the Queen(me). We were referred to Richandra through a close friend. At first we were skeptical about having a wedding planner, because we are military and currently reside in Virginia. But we were both from the Houston area and had to have our wedding in Houston. When i tell you, this team was 10/10 on everything. From decor, to food, to having everything on a strict schedule, our wedding and reception was PERFECT!!!! We only made 1 trip to Houston to pick out the reception venue about 10 months before our wedding date. Everything else was handled by Richandra and her amazing team. We had monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly skype meetings to go over plans all the way up until the wedding day. All i have to say is if it wasn't for Fervent Designs, i have no clue how we would have accomplished half the things they made happen for us. Thank You so much!!!!

We first met Richandra at the Houston Bridal Extravaganza in January of 2018. We were not looking for an event designer or day of coordinator at the time. However, when wedding decisions needed to be made and our stress levels began to rise, we remembered Richandra's warm spirit and humility - and decided to giver her a call. She met with us right away and when she began asking us questions that we would have NEVER even thought of, we knew that Fervent Designs needed to be a part of our day. From the moment that we gave FD the steering wheel to our wedding, we no longer had to worry about the details and organization of the day. She worked within our budget and was extremely honest about the things we could do without. Never did we feel pressured or uncomfortable with the idea of how we wanted our day to go. A lot of brides talk about being stressed and nervous on the day of, but I can honestly and gratefully say that was not the case for me thanks to the FD team. They handled EVERYTHING! Through our wedding, our friends have made connections with Fervent Designs and plan to use them for their own events. The Fervent Designs Team will forever be in our hearts. We are truly grateful that our paths crossed!

Was a slow churning process, but came together on my wedding day.

I met Richandra at one of the wedding showcases and I immediately loved her professionalism and energetic spirit. We decided to hire Richandra for our day of coordination. Everyone jokes that I’m super organized and precise, however Richandra definitely has me beat. Her coordination made it possible for me to truly enjoy our day!

My wife and I are very happy with Richandra from Fervent designs. She did an excellent job with helping us plan our wedding. She came with us to the important events and helped us with everything from the venue meeting to the rehearsal and on the wedding day. We hired her as a coordinator but in hindsight I would have had Richandra plan our whole wedding. We got along great with Richandra. She is really good at what she does and very affordable. She was able to stay in our budget for decorations and still make everything look great. I recommend Fervent Designs to anyone who is planning a wedding.

Richandra and her team at Fervent Designs were nothing short of Amazing!!! I had the BEST wedding ever and I know it would not have been possible without Richadra's guidance along the way. All of my family, friends and other vendors loved working with Richandra. I had several of my guest ask about her services because they were so impressed with how beautifully everything was exucuted at our wedding. Bianca was wonderful as well! She was great with taking care of my children during the wedding. And Sarah was awesome at assisting our guest. Richandra was our day of coordinator, florist and decorator for our wedding but she did so much more! She was easy to contact when I had questions, gave great advice, and we could count on Fervent Designs to supply literally everything extra we were looking for to enhance our wedding day. Richandra and team are the ultimate professionals! My wife and I met Richandra at the Houston wedding expo, and felt immediately at ease with her during our initial consultation. We didn't realize how much coordination was needed for our wedding - but she showed us the detailed checklists of tasks that she would be either be doing or ensuring that we do - and we realized that we needed extra help. From my perspective as a groom, she was beyond outstanding, and she really worked hard to make our wedding day perfect as she executed our vision. She also planned and coordinated our rehearsal dinner and provided beautiful, elegant decorations and fun, engaging activities for our guests. I could write much more, but just know that if you choose to hire Richandra and her team, you certainly won't regret the decisions. All of our guests were very impressed with her - and still mention how amazing she was at the wedding. She will always be a special person in our lives.

Richandra, Bianca and the whole team at Fervent Designs is the absolute best! They made our destination wedding a fantasy come true. Any problems or issues that popped up last minute they automatically took care of. Honestly I didn't even find out out last minute "fires" until the wedding was over. Lol. Rashundra’s ability to motivate, organize, keep things moving and passion about her work and business are impressive! Communication always consistent. Kept us well informed about expectations and deadlines. The wedding was a few weeks ago. My wedding day was everything that I hoped that it would be and more !!! Bianca was sooo sweet & and cried with me right before I was about to walk down the aisle! She tended to my every need! She got down on her knees and helped me put my shoes on to take my wedding photos after the ceremony when I was struggling! Many of our key guests commented on how well Fervent Designs coordinated our wedding- from the rehearsal dinner, to keeping the wedding party informed, and having the wedding party ready AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. My wedding day was stress free, I must say. We had the unique situation where we had to reschedule our wedding due to Hurricane Harvey and it was such a smooth and anxiety free process. I met Richandra, the owner and lead designer, at a bridal expo a few months after I moved to Houston and we immediately hit it off. I knew then that she would be able to help me shape my vision for my destination wedding and execute it perfectly. She and her entire team did not disappoint! Richandra connected me to expert vendors within my budget that I never would have discovered on my own. She also went above and beyond to handle difficult resort planning staff with professionalism and grace. Any problem that arose she and her team tackled head on and were quick to find resolution. We received so many compliments from our guests on how wonderfully executed our multiple wedding events were, how “fervently designed” all the decor was, and how helpful and friendly Richandra and her team were throughout our wedding weekend and for months after. My husband and I really needed a lot of help when we came to Fervent Designs, but we didn't have a lot of money. They assured us that they would be able to meet our needs and execute a beautiful wedding reception without breaking the bank. I was planning the wedding myself to save us money and did not have much help. Fervent Designs not only filled in the gaps that I had regarding the music and entertainment, but they also were able to work with me to create a GORGEOUS wedding reception. The event design was immaculate. It meant so much to us, especially since my husband had lost everything the week before our wedding in Hurricane Harvey. It's almost like the storm didn't stop Fervent Designs from delivering top quality service. Every idea that I had came to life. They stayed true to my wedding theme and did not deviate at all. When we walked into our wedding reception, I could hardly believe my eyes-it was like a dream come true! Not only did they do what we paid them for, but they also went the extra mile to make sure that our needs were being met by other vendors. They were a HUGE help when it came to dealing with the hotel and they offered their expertise and guidance every step of the way. I don't have the words to express how grateful I am for having been fortunate enough to have Fervent Designs on our side. I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding.

Richandra Nickerson-Ukpong and the Fervent Designs team did an outstanding job before, during, and after our wedding day! Richandra really takes the time to get to know her clients, and is always patient and helpful. She kept us on track with detailed checklists and weekly check-ins leading up to the wedding. She helped us think of things we forgot, and even had vendors to help us when we didn't know where to turn (ladies, she knows a seamstress)! After Hurricane Harvey, we were worried about potential damages to our venue and selected hotels. To ease our minds, she called the vendors and got updates on the state of everything. Day of the wedding, she was right there (seems like everywhere at the same time). One month later, she even reached out to us to see how we were doing as newly weds.
