Fete Au Fete was the perfect caterer for our wedding. We are from Austin and had a destination wedding in New Orleans. We loved the idea of a food truck as that is a popular thing in Austin. Karen and her staff were great and our guests raved about how amazing the food was. I personally loved the sweet potato hash! We can't wait to stop by their Dixie Beer location the next time we are in Nola.
The Fete Au Fete team killed it! They are a machine! We hired them for our rehearsal reception and was concerned with guests gathering by the truck because of COVID, but they were so timely and prepared that there was never any crowding. Our menu included the blackened pork chop over dirty rice, duck and andouille gumbo, shrimp and grits, and the side salad with blackberry dressing. We had very picky foodie type guests and they were raving about how delicious the shrimp and grits and pork chop (husband's fave) were. Even my very old Vietnamese grandfather loved their shrimp and grits. They were so easy to work with during our 1+ year of communication and were so accommodating with my annoying questions and requests to revise the menu over and over, and even including last minute revisions. Their team was always super sweet communicating with me throughout the entire process. We would love to hire them again for any event we host in the future and cannot recommend them enough.
The best food! Rudy and his team were professional, punctual and accommodating. When a flower girl was on the verge of tears before dinner time due to hunger Rudy and his staff found her a snack within her dietary restrictions and saved the night. My guests are still raving about the food and have already planned visits to their brick and mortar locations soon.
Best Food TRUCK ever! Absolutely nailed it- perfect for our low key, FUN wedding! We had 4 options and beignets hot and fresh off the truck! 10/10, do not hesitate to hire them!
Having Fete au Fete cater our wedding was just perfect. Working with Rudy in advance was a dream, he provided expert advice in making sure we selected the right things and quantities. Day of - every single detail was taken care of. The staff were amazing, and so understanding when things started to run late. And the food was absolutely delicious, our guests loved it!!
We had the Fete Au Fete food truck cater our wedding on April 6th and they were awesome. They were one of the first vendors that we booked and I am so glad that we did. Working with Karen and Rudy was a breeze, they were quick to respond to all of my questions and helpful in suggesting menu options, setup, etc. Karen even took time to meet with my parents when they visited New Orleans to talk through the details, and of course have them try out the food (they loved it!).
The food truck was so much fun to have at the wedding. Its such a great alternative to a traditional buffet. It was amazing how smoothly everything ran and how quickly they were able to get everyone served, I don't think I ever noticed a line. They are pros!
On to the most important part: the food. It was AMAZING!! We had the trash grits, blackened pork chop, and jambalaya and it was all so delicious. The sides (salad, biscuits, cornbread) were also incredible and beautifully displayed and the passed apps (muffuletta and stuffed mushrooms) were perfect little bites to start the night off. I wish that I lived in New Orleans so that I could eat there all the time. Our guests are still raving about how good it was.
I would book them again in a heartbeat!
We worked with Fete Au Fete to provide the catering for our wedding and it was AMAZING. Many of our guests had never been to my family home of New Orleans before, so it was important to me that they be able to experience our delicious food in its full glory. WELL, even my mother (who always has something shady to say about the jambalaya) was impressed! And my serious-food-snob friends told me it was not only the best wedding food they'd ever had, but the best FOOD they'd ever had! Not to mention that Fete Au Fete was such a joy to work with - we changed the menu a billion times, had a billion dietary restrictions to accommodate, did a bunch of things last minute, and they rolled with it all with grace and professionalism and perfect day-of execution. Thanks guys, it was wonderful.
