Owned by Gwen Rollins, Fiddleheads & Finery specializes in planning and coordinating initimate Maine-centric weddings. Passionate about trying new experiences, Gwen understands that each wedding should be a one-of-a-kind reflection of the happy couple, their likes, and their personalities. She is enthusiastic about all that Maine has to offer, and wants couples to share in its uniqueness on their wedding day. Whether it’s a summer celebration on the coast or wedding portraits in a forest, Maine can serve as a backdrop to your magical day. Her sister Maida works as the associate planner and focuses on bringing meaning and authenticity to the celebration.
From the engagement to coordinating the rehearsal dinner, Gwen is ready to support you in any aspect you need. Fiddleheads & Finery offer coordination services for couples that are hoping to do the planning themselves, in the event they need additional support. For others, Gwen and Maida can plan the wedding from start to finish, and can even design an entire weekend around it. Some of the services on offer include vendor recommendations, in-depth checklists, and budgeting assistance. They can also assist with guest lists and floor plans, aiming to reduce any stresses the couple may be feeling. Additional coordinators can accompany Gwen and Maida, for larger events or celebrations spanning multiple locations.

warm and communicative. She kept a perfect balance of encouraging and prioritizing our vision foremost while being honest about any concerns or considerations she could offer from her extensive planning experience.
Particularly in the couples months leading up to our wedding, Gwen's help was essential. Since me and my husband live in Chicago, it was beyond appreciated to have someone who had insight/connections into the Maine vendor world and Gwen also insisted we send all of our decor to her address so that she was able to unpack it and set it up before the big day, meaning we never had to life a finger.
Her day of coordination was amazing and she maintained a perfect balance of being present enough for us to quickly come to her with any concerns/questions while also never distracting or bothering us needlessly so that we could enjoy the moment as much as possible. After we left the venue for our after party, she stayed and coordinated clean up/vendors so that all we had to do was pick up a few boxes of important items she'd packed up for us the next AM.
Overall I couldn't recommend working with Gwen more to anyone looking for a wedding planner/day of coordinator in the greater New England area!

She created timelines for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all vendors which ensured everyone was on the same page during the rehearsal and day-of.
Fiddleheads & Finery took control of all our vendors a week before the wedding, allowing my husband and I to connect with each other without talking about wedding planning at all, which was really special.
Hiring Gwen took a huge amount of stress off me, and subsequently, my husband (lets be honest, planning a wedding is super stressful!) allowing us to be calm, cool, and collected leading up to, and during our wedding. The entire day went so smoothly, we were SO impressed! She even left us a little surprise in our hotel room the night of our wedding which was very sweet of her.
