I work in the events industry and knew when I got engaged that I had to work with Katie Knox and her team over at the Field Museum! The entire process was seamless. Katie is a true professional. The Field is a stunning backdrop. Our guests are still talking about the museum and how beautiful every part of our day was. I love that every time I walk into the Field I am flooded with the most wonderful memories of our perfect day with family and friends and I will be able to experience that for many many years to come. Alex and I can't thank Katie and the entire Field Museum team for making our dreams come true!

Celebrate with your guests amid millions of artifacts and specimens—and invite them to explore the exhibitions while they take a break from drinks and dancing. Our variety of spaces accommodate as few as 10 and up to more than 1,000 guests, safety guidelines permitting: Celebrate outdoors with a ceremony on the terrace or cocktails in the Rice Native Plant Gardens, or transform the museum’s iconic Stanley Field Hall or East Atrium for your dream wedding. We’ve done this a few times. Our experienced staff is here to support you and your wedding planner, from your first site visit to the moment your last guests leave, tuckered out from a night of dancing and celebration. Our approved vendors are carefully selected and knowledgeable about our space. Whether your style is understated, elegant florals or over-the-top geek chic, our vendors will help you customize an event that’s 100% you. The Field Museum provides all alcoholic beverages used in conjunction with any event held at the Museum. We offer a variety of beverage packages and a wine list, both with eco-friendly options. Your approved caterer will provide bar service, including setup, mixers, sodas, ice, glassware, and service staff. Consumption bars and donated liquor are not allowed.

e is absolutely phenomenal at her job, and goes well beyond the call of duty to help her brides. On the day of, it was obvious that having our wedding anywhere else would not have been anywhere near as perfect. It looked amazing-- even better than we could have hoped-- and every detail was ideally thought through. My fiance and I met through a Field Museum project, so for us the venue had sentimental value. But even without that, it would have been a spectacular wedding AND wedding planning process, from the moment we signed the contract to the moment we jumped in a pedicab to leave our reception.
