Brent was a JOY to work with - my husband and I are both on the introverted side and in our initial conversation he was so intentional and thoughtful about getting to know us, I felt instantly at ease with him. Communication was flawless and he took it upon himself to learn more about our venue to make sure he could provide the best experience possible for us and our guests. At the reception, he seemed as excited to be there as any invited guest and greeted us with a smile and a huge hug. He took our every request seriously and multiple friends and family made a point to tell me he was one of the best, if not THE best wedding DJ they'd ever heard. I honestly wish I could do it all over just to work with him again.

Megan does a great job reading the room and brings a lot of energy to create the best vibes possible. Many guests were raving to us about the DJ the next day. She incorporated the small playlist and must-play songs we provided along with some real crowd-pleasers. We had way more guests out on the dance floor than we expected, while keeping the volume manageable enough for our family and friends to continue their conversations throughout the whole reception. Definitely recommend!

PHENOMENAL throughout our wedding planning process, checking in regularly, offering support and guidance, and even attending our walk through in person to meet other vendors and discuss details for the day of the event with us. Her presence and communication is uniquely authentic and energizing. She did a wonderful job getting to know us, creating thoughtful and intentional plans for our event, and accessing her creativity to match her music choices to the moment. e than your average DJ, she is worth every penny. She provided such great energy for the event and kept the dance floor packed all night. Since the wedding, everyone - from our grandparents to our friends - have been raving about how great she was. Not to mention the saxophone accompaniment that she recommended, who played over the top of her music and provided an energy boost for an hour in the middle of the night. Brent is professional, kind, and was an absolute rock to me and my husband on our wedding day. I would recommend him one million times over. We were the first wedding ever in our venue (Ford Hangar in Lansing, IL). As it is an extremely large, open space, Brent utilized his expertise to ensure we would have no issues and the best sound quality. He accommodated a non-traditional request, working with a friend who performed our first dance song. He also did an amazing job reading our crowd and keeping the party going all night. Our guests were obsessed with his mixes and transitions - he is so talented. The amount of times at our brunch on Sunday someone said to us he was the DJ they've ever seen at a wedding (I definitely agree!) was kinda insane. Good music and a skilled DJ can elevate a reception and he absolutely made the night!

h Zoom. Right from the start, Brent was genuine, compassionate, caring, understanding, knowledgeable and made us feel so comfortable. The DJ was extremely important for us, right after that first meeting we knew Brent was the DJ we wanted for our day. Over the next few months we would meet with Brent multiple times, even just to check-in and say hello. He gave us our wedding planning document that we filled out with the ideal type of wedding, music we like, and timeline. Brent was always willing to answer our questions or help us down our wedding path. For example, we would talk through different options and we'd ask Brent to weigh in with his opinion and flow. He was key in helping us think or ask questions that we hadn't even surfaced yet. He was willing to do an on-site walkthrough and meet with other vendors to make sure everyone was aligned and the day was seamless. When the day finally arrived (12/10/22), it was GREAT! Brent did his thing! More than just the music, Brent commanded the room to keep everyone paying attention and the timeline on-track. He would quiet the room, get the crowds attention, prep the next speaker so they're prepared and ready, it was seamless. These details made the entire day run so smooth. He made sure he knew how to correctly pronounce each persons name and their role in the wedding. We had some custom song requests to blend different versions together and transition at different times, Brent said no problem and made it happen for us! The cocktail hour had perfect music and then came the dance floor...which stayed packed all the way until midnight! The music kept everyone on the floor and the vibes were high! Brent did such an amazing job. We had a final song which he made an announcement to get everyone to the dance floor, he gave time for all of us to congregate and then start the final song, which was important for us. From our initial meeting many months ago to that final song, Brent was incredible and vital to our wedding. We can't thank him enough and we can't recommend him enough! Thank you, Brent!!

Brian.  Pros:  - They are incredibly talented. They captured every moment with artistry beyond what we could’ve hoped for.  - They invest in you. They meet with you before shooting your event and make sure you’re a good fit before even agreeing to work with you. Then, they meet with you to talk about your vision, what you like and dislike. Personally, I’m not very artsy, and so having James’ expertise in helping to provide direction was incredibly comforting. James was always available for questions, etc. He went back and forth with me on engagement outfits and picked us up in his car to take us on our “engagement experience photoshoot”. You will feel like a priority to them, not just another client. They also will make sure they know about your traditions to perfectly capture the special moments. For example, we’re Jewish, so it was important for us to have a team that understood all the parts of traditional jewish ceremonies to make sure they knew where to be and when. This allowed the day-of to go so smoothly.  - They are the perfect balance of get-shit-done and flexibility on wedding day. I didn’t realize until the event how many competing voices start to arise. Jame and Brian made sure to get all the pictures we talked about beforehand and then also took requests from others. They even pulled us aside for a solo picture shoot during part of the dancing and we got photos that we’re in love with!  - They are professional. They showed up on time and ready and were professional (yet themselves, which you’ll love) through the whole day. Caveat to this is that I didn’t deal with any of the scheduling/coordination, since we had a wedding planner who was great and worked with them in the past. Also, plug for Joyce’s Events…Joyce Feuer was the best wedding planner and has done many events with Fig!  - They don’t work by the books. They won’t say you have X-hr event and when X hours is up, we’re out. I don’t even remember our exact contract time, but they showed up during getting ready when we needed them, and when the wedding was dying down, they said hey we got it all, we’re gonna leave. For the engagement shoot, same thing. This could be a pro or a con, depending on your personality. I am type A, so at first, I was worried about how unstructured this felt, but it ended up being way better than the alternative. I wasn’t worried about hitting a time, and having the crew leave on us. I felt like they were part of the family and dedicated to capturing our day perfectly, so if they felt they were done, I trusted that. It ended up working out perfectly.  Cons:  - They are artists, so they need time to do their thing and for you (or your wedding planner) to be organized. Our wedding was the second week of September, and we started to get photos back at the beginning of August. We got the rest at the end of November and are doing a gallery review with them in December. We’re expecting to get the video back soon too, but we haven’t yet. I don’t think this timing is unreasonable, but if you’re someone who values fast turnaround time, you may want to have that conversation with them ahead of booking. They will be honest and real with what they can/cannot do. That’s truly the only “con” I can come up with.

Not to mention Brent was able to incorporate songs that pleased a wide range of ages and even included Arabic songs, as requested, that were a hit for our family from Egypt! make our wedding as special as possible. We were probably their most annoying clients - we knew what we didn't want to hear but not exactly what we did want to hear and they did such a great job. They worked with us to make our ceremony music work - they had helpful suggestions that weren't in a way pushy and we loved them. The night of, Alvin listened to me and my husband when we wanted to hear certain things and really prioritized what we'd asked for. We are both so grateful we chose to go with Fig!! 10 out of 10, 12 starts, would absolutely recommend going with Fig for any event!

very personable and genuine, it was an easy choice to go with Fig. Chris was our DJ day of -- we got lots of compliments on the music and folks have already reached out to us to ask who our DJ was. Chris did a great job reading the vibe of the room ESPECIALLY during the Mother/Son and Father/Daughter dances. Chris must have heard me and my dad saying "wow this is a very long song" as we entered into the third minute of awkwardly dancing in front of a room of people because he faded it out perfectly and you couldn't even tell that wasn't where it was supposed to end. Would definitely recommend Fig.

Brent was listening to our needs while offering advice based on his experience. He obviously understood demographics and the vibe of different groups on the dance floor at our reception. Everyone raved about how much fun they had dancing. I feel the flow of the evening was just brilliant — in large part thanks to him. Aunts boogied to the Love Shack.. & by the end of the evening our arthouse friends were raging to Breeders & Hole. Also — I told him I like city pop & future funk and he gracefully wove that into our dinner music??? I was so surprised anyone would vibe with me on my niche interest lol. Getting to hear my favorite songs at my reception was so special. 10/10 #plasticlove
