Filament was the perfect location for our big day! Gorgeous venue and awesome team - planning and process from start to finish was fantastic. Shout out to Abby, our venue manager, she is a rockstar at her job and made the day worry free, and the bartenders - they kept our thirsty guests happy - they were awesome!

We had our wedding reception at Filament this September and couldn't have asked for a better day and team to work with! We immediately knew Filament was the perfect place for us to celebrate when we toured it. We're very impressed by their staff, company culture, and beauty/ambience of the venue. Our venue coordinator, Olivia, went above and beyond for us. Her communication was excellent and her energy helped make the planning process fun and less stressful. Filament's bar service and DJ they work with, Milwaukee Airwaves, was also exceptional. We're so grateful and happy we chose Filament and highly recommend them!

Cannot recommend Filament enough!! The moment we toured this venue with Olivia, my husband and I knew it was “the one.” Not only is this venue stunning, but Olivia was so warm, welcoming & helped us answer any and every question we had during the beginning of our planning process. She was wonderful! Mandi was our venue coordinator and WOW, she an absolute angel! So helpful, organized, personable, & attentive to detail. She truly did so much to help make our day perfect. She was always asking us if there was anything we needed during the reception. Our family members who helped decorate the venue was so thankful for her help and professional expertise. So grateful for her!! We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the space was and the friendliness of all Filament event staff. We wish we could have a lot more events to plan just to work with the Filament team and enjoy the beautiful space again! Filament and the event staff have such a special place in our hearts!

Up until the day of my wedding, filament and their staff were great. We loved our location, we loved the space, everyone was friendly. Unfortunately, on our actual wedding day a few small but impactful experiences left us disappointed and with memories of our wedding day that I wish could have been different. The first thing that really struck me in a negative way was after our ceremony I wentl to the outside bar to ask for a drink, and the bartender gave me an attitude and a dirty look when I requested our signature drink. She said “yeah, I don’t know what that is.” I try to even explain to her what it was supposed to be imagining that she just wasn’t form yet, and she got so irritated that the other bartender had to cut in and take over for her. Imagine, The bride politely asking for a drink at her own wedding, and that was her response. She definitely could have been kinder about it and maybe just said oh I’m so sorry I haven’t been familiarize with it yet or something… But to be rude, was just shocking. And that same bartender was rude to multiple guess that later complained to us later through out the night. She was also dressed kind of like a bum ;for lack of a better term) and looked like she just rolled out of bed. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the names of any of the other bartenders but there were two gentlemen bar tenders that were wonderful. There also seem to be a great lack of communication between the DJ and the venue coordinator. Speeches were not happening at the appropriate times. Our dances weren’t announced when they were supposed to be, the DJ forgot our first dance song. It just seemed kind of like chaos and I really wish my husband and I could’ve had the carefree day that we had hoped for, but unfortunately it was rather stressful for us. I don’t put the responsibility of that entirely on the shoulders of Filament but I do think that they didn’t help the situation much. Although the coordinator and everyone else besides that one bartender were friendly, I had higher hopes and expectations for our very important day.

I could not have pictured a more perfect wedding day, and I owe so much of that to Matt B. (wedding coordinator with Filament) and the rest of the Filament team. They are absolutely phenomenal at their jobs. Matt went above and beyond as a day of coordinator - he was super easy to communicate with, assisted with many other areas of our wedding, provided such good advice, and overall was an extremely fun person to be around and help with on our wedding day. Words do not give nearly enough credit to the amount of effort and support he put in to making our wedding day absolutely perfect. Also, the venue is absolutely stunning, has so much charm and uniqueness you really do not need much decorations to make the space feel magical. Everything was top notch and I would recommend the Filament to any person looking for their special day.

We had our wedding at the Filament. They are an amazing, unified team. They worked great with our outside vendors. They were very helpful throughout the process and on our wedding day. Nick Brenning was our wedding coordinator and he did a phenomenal job. He made sure to say yes to all our desires to make our day perfect! The Filament was straight forward with pricing. They had no extra “surprise” fees from start to end. Beautiful space. Jack Brenning, with Milwaukee Airwaves, was a great DJ who catered to our desires. We had Antigua catering who were very attentive throughout our planning. Food was amazing and buffet style service that was warm, plentiful, and great flavor. 10/10 recommend everything.

There was nothing not to like about our wedding at the Filament. Everything went perfect, exactly as we had planned and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our day of coordinator Matt that was included in the venue package was absolutely amazing. He literally did EVERYTHING, and all we had to do was just enjoy our day. We can not thank him enough. The venue was amazing and looks incredible in our photos. They worked with us so we were able to set it up exactly as we liked. The DJ (Owen) that works through the venue was amazing as well. We had quite a few unique requests during our reception (cousin singing, parents rapping, friends announcing, music mix for first dance) and they all went perfectly. The dance floor was plenty big and always full thanks to our DJ. This venue needs to be on your list of places to see, and once you walk through it and meet the amazing people who are there, you will love it as much as we did.

When we walked into Filament we immediately fell in love. We had toured a number of venues previously and just didn’t get that “feeling”. When we met Sarah, she greeted us with joy and was very sincere with helping us build our vision for our wedding day. There was no doubt with the ambience of the venue that we wanted our wedding there, but adding Sarah to be our event coordinator brought everything together. She was so helpful and made us feel comfortable with the process. She was so open to our ideas and added her expertise so they were executed flawlessly. Sarah made this wedding planning experience stress free at Filament. She and the team were so accessible, and giving us suggestions with vendors such as Tall Guy and Grill and Feisty Flowers was amazing. Their team work on our big day was top notch. We can’t thank Sarah and the team at Filament enough for their hard work to make our wedding day exceptional. We highly recommend them!

Filament was the first venue we toured, and we absolutely fell in love with it! It was the perfect size and location for our wedding of 100 guests. Sarah and Nick made sure the day was exactly how we envisioned, and they really made our planning experience stress-free and fun! The entire team at Filament was incredible from touring, to booking, to partying. Set up a tour ASAP to fall in love with this venue like we did!

Choosing Filament as our wedding venue was 1000% the right choice! You can tour the space & look at pictures as see how perfect it is aesthetically, but the staff is really what made it perfect to us. Everyone from our venue coordinator, DJ, and bar staff went above and beyond to make our day seamless & special. We didn't have a worry in the world thanks to them. Our guests kept coming up to us to tell us how great the space & staff was and we couldn't agree more! MVPs of weddings!

Filament really stood out to us when we were touring different venues for our wedding. Its gorgeous cream city brick, numerous plants, and warm lighting gave the perfect vibes for our summer wedding. It is in a great location with options for industrial and river photos within walking distance. Tanner was the main person we worked with and we were so lucky to have him! He helped us plan out all of the details for our day and was such a good resource in the months leading up to the wedding. Tanner anticipated all of our needs for the day of and truly ensured that everything flowed smoothly. There wasn’t a single detail that did not go as planned. Tanner spoiled us and our family throughout the wedding day. He helped with set-up and take down and ensured that we were all having a good time. All of the staff were great to work with! We did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Filament and received so many compliments on everything. We were able to rent out the street from the city to have the cocktail hour outside and that made our day even more special. We would highly recommend booking Filament for your wedding– It’s an amazing space with great staff, too!

Filament was an amazing place to have our vow renewal and reception. The space was perfect. Not too big, not too small. We loved the plants, vintage mirrors, and unique lighting throughout. Nothing beats the ambiance of this place. I was able to rent out the street from the city of Milwaukee and the staff from Filament set out tables and a speaker for music outside. Huge shout out to Tanner!! He was so lovely to work with. I trusted him fully to carry out my vision of the polaroid table, room setup, and finishing touches on the decorations. He made the whole planning process so fun and easy! When it came to the big day, he made us feel so special and celebrated. When friends and family would come up to us throughout the night, the word we consistently heard was “perfect”. Everyone thought the ceremony, food, drinks, music, and space was perfect. It truly was!

The Filament was the ideal venue for us. The staff was extremely attentive, supportive, and helpful from start to finish. The space was beautiful and perfectly located for our special celebration.

Filament was such an amazing venue for our big day! Our guests kept raving about the cool and unique venue. Marina was an absolute god send. She was the best venue coordinator we could have asked for. She is so helpful and fun and made the process feel like we were working with a friend. She was extremely accessible to answer questions and always had creative solutions for any issues we ran into. The venue and bar staff were so professional on our day. Overall it was a great venue and I would recommend doing the outdoor cocktail hour “block party” if the weather permits, you won’t regret it!

We loved everything about our wedding venue! Our guests loved the romantic venue with moody lighting and beautiful cream city brick. We closed down the street outside and had Flour Girl & Flame cater. Our guests loved going in and out of the venue to watch pizzas being made in the wood fired pizza oven and to enjoy the weather. Sarah, our coordinator was a dream to work with!! She really thought of everything and made the planning process more enjoyable for us. Truly, we had such a perfect day all around. We are very grateful we chose the Filament for our day.

Not only is the interior of Filament welcoming, so is the entire staff. When we had our first tour with Sarah, her bright personality helped us solidify our decision on choosing Filament as our wedding venue. This warm industrious space is beautiful on its own and added greenery made us feel at home. We wanted a cozy space for our guests to enjoy and Filament checked that box. On the day of our wedding Sarah, the bartenders, and the rest of the Filament staff made us feel welcome and did a tremendous job of helping the day run smoothly. Filament was the perfect venue for our perfect day.

The Filament was the absolute perfect venue for our dream ceremony & reception! The aesthetic of the venue was absolutely beautiful with bountiful greenery, warm lighting, and a gorgeous photo room. In addition, the entire Filament Team (especially Abby Acken) were helpful, friendly and professional. Abby eased our worries when it came to our big day and was there through the whole event to ensure it went without a hitch.

Filament was the best venue we could have ever dreamed of. The minute we walked into the space on our tour we felt cozy and warm- which is exactly what we wanted our wedding to be. From the brick, to the plants, and the lights everywhere, it was heaven. Tanner was a life saver with answering questions ahead of time, and handling the day of stuff. Overall, so thankful we picked Filament, and so thankful Tanner was our coordinator!

Words can’t describe how happy we were that we chose Filament as our venue. Abby was our main contact and she was fantastic! I didn’t have a coordinator but honestly didn’t need one. Abby helped facilitate all of my “day of” tasks and worked directly with other vendors to make sure they could get in/set up. My parents and other guests came up to me to compliment how great Abby was and also to compliment the bartenders great service. Owen was our DJ for part of the night and he was on top of everything (specific songs, getting people ready for speaches, etc.) I honestly can’t think of anything that I would have wanted different

Working with Filament (and in particular, Matt Basteyns and Zach Kinsman) we had an excellent experience. They were very accommodating, kind, patient, and quick to reply to us. Our wedding day was seamless and smooth. Matt worked so hard to be available and all of our wedding party noticed how helpful he was to us. Zach (DJ) was a blast and we got so many compliments from guests on the music, party, and venue! We cannot recommend Filament enough. The venue was beautiful and so many of our guests commented on how much they loved it.

Where do I even begin. We started looking for venues a couple months after we got engaged and probably visited 5, and I viewed another dozen online. The second you walk into Filament it seriously takes your breath away. The lights, the brick, the bar…. We fell in love. Then we had the absolute pleasure of working with Abby as our coordinator. She is seriously the best. From our very first meet and greet, where I brought my notebook for questions and notes (yes a notebook lol), we absolutely adored her. She was so helpful throughout the entire process but she truly shined the night before and day of our wedding. I brought a box of items to be set up and with honestly no direction, she started setting everything up as if she was already inside my head. She kept our stress low and our drinks full. We had the best day ever and I know a large part of that was thanks to Abby and the staff of filament. Owen, our DJ kept the dance floor packed all night. He helped set up the audio when our best man had to bow out the week of due to COVID. He was able to call in and still give his Best Man speech. Truly, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect experience and wedding day.

Filament was everything we could have asked for and more. Not only is the venue great and beautiful but it also fit into our budget perfectly which was important for us. Matt was also nothing short of amazing, he went above and beyond for us that day and the time leading up to our wedding. My guests still are raving about the time they had and how beautiful it was and how attentive and helpful Matt was during the whole process, even with the set up before hand. I would recommend Filament over and over again to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding or just an event!

I cannot say enough positive things about the Filament! It is a beautiful venue with an intimate feel. Matt was absolutely fantastic to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly. He was fun and friendly and made sure my husband and I had everything we needed during the reception (making sure we had drinks, helping coordinate the flow of everything). Matt even turned me away at the end of the night and told me to get back to the dance floor as our decor was taken down, ensuring he had everything covered. Milwaukee Airwaves and DJ Nick had our guests dancing the whole night! We couldn't have picked a better venue and we are so grateful for all of the staff that made our day so special!

Filament is beautiful and was just the Milwaukee aesthetic we were looking for in a venue! The staff was super nice and great to work with. There is not a lot of natural light in the venue, so if you want a really bright space, Filament may not be for you - we loved the intimate feel of that and with the cool lights they have inside. They also do not have 'Getting Ready Rooms' for bride/groom which was disappointing. We did pay extra for a room upstairs, but it was not included in our venue price and it was a lot of money. The only issue we had on the day of is being told right before our reception we could not have open flamed candles in the venue, even though we signed a contract in 2020 that stated we could as long as the flames were contained in glass. We spent over $300 on candles, so that was unfortunate... Thankfully, we had a great coordinate we hired that made it work. Overall, the venue is beautiful and the staff was very nice. I just wish they had the Getting Ready Rooms included and a bit better on communications/updates in contracts.

Great venue, staff was amazing . We worked with Matt and he was super accommodating and went above and beyond to help make it the perfect day. He was super flexible especially with our ever changing plans and helped make sure things ran smoothly!

We cannot say enough good things about this venue and especially Sarah, who was our point person throughout. They were super easy to work with during the whole planning process and worked with us to postpone from last year due to covid. The day of went so smoothly and they took care of everything and did an excellent job of letting us fully enjoy the day. The venue is also beautiful and has so much Milwaukee charm from the cream city brick to all the greens. The outdoor cocktail hour was a nice touch as well.

There will not be enough character allowance in this review to express how amazing Filament and its staff are. Tyler was our point person and I cannot say enough kind words. He answered every question and handled every last minute detail. My husband and I are not from the area and booked Filament without ever seeing it in person. Tyler was more than willing to accommodate our schedules and have us at the venue and get a feel for the space. The space itself is gorgeous. Exposed brick and beams with tons of natural light give Filament charm. The in house sound system and uplighting ensure your party will be dancing ready. I had several guests comment on how friendly the staff was. They were attentive, smiling, and overall felt like they were part of the guest list. In the words of my guests "From here on out every other wedding will just be a let down".

Our wedding reception at Filament was everything! The space itself is beautiful! Then add in the fantastic staff, we seriously could not have had a better experience. Matt was wonderful to work with - especially considering we had to postpone nearly 10 months due to covid. Matt was honest, responsive, and supported us through the entire process. Also, big shoutout to our awesome DJ, Zach, from Milwaukee Airwaves. From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful! Thank you!

We are completely blown away & still beaming with joy after our amazing reception at Filament. Marina was a gem to work with; so professional & accommodating, while also super fun & has an awesome personality! She made rescheduling & navigating restrictions so seamless and easy that our night was nothing short of amazing. The dj , bartenders & the rest of the staff were also so fun to work with, and the beautiful ambiance inside (also my spacious & gorgeous "Ready Room") were just the cherry on top to a perfect night. I wouldn't change a thing!

Sarah and everyone at Filament were wonderful to work with! Sarah was so helpful with all of our questions. Especially with how 2020 has been, they really worked with us in every aspect. They made our day very special and it was absolutely perfect.

We loved the improvements made this past year including upgraded lighting and decor. All of our guests loved the venue and thought it was a unique find in the Milwaukee area!

My husband and I were married at Filament on 7/27/19. We worked with Abby, and she was absolutely amazing. Not only did we plan our wedding while living across the country, we signed the venue contract when it was The Seeboth, so needless to say we were very stressed. Abby really went above and beyond in communicating with us and ensuring that everything went smoothly. The space itself is gorgeous, we got so compliments from our guests! We really only did minimal decor and let the cream brick, exposed beams, and greenery speak for themselves. It's definitely an ideal space for us minimalists! The location is incredibly convenient to the Third Ward and I loved that it was slightly hidden and not on a main road. I also loved that Filament was flexible with catering and bar selections, as we're quite picky on food and drinks. The only downside we experienced was that the air conditioning could not seem to keep up with our 125 guests and it got quite hot. Given all the updates they are making to the building, hopefully the air conditioner will be one of them! Overall, I'd recommend getting married at Filament without hesitation!

My husband, Johnny and I held our wedding dinner/reception at the Filament on June 1st 2019 and it was absolutely perfect. We were fortunate to have Sarah as our event coordinator. Sarah worked closely with us to develop a prepared timeline, so we’d be stress free on our wedding day and it was so worth it! She made sure everything happened in an orderly and timely manner during our most special occasion! We are so grateful to have had her help during the planning process and on our day to facilitate! This venue space is everything. The lighting is truly magical and gives such character to an already amazing structural design. The location makes the space feel like a hidden treasure. A lot of our guests doubted if they were at the correct location but after they arrived inside and saw the space fully decorated in our vision we received many complements about our decision! We can’t thank the Filament team enough for making this experience seamless and also for being a part of the best day of our lives so far. Thank you!
