Hiring Andy was definitely the best decision we made for our wedding. He was so easy to work with, captured so many amazing shots, and produced a film that was above and beyond our expectations! I found Andy on the Knot and sent a video to my husband. He immediately reached out to Andy to check his availability. He was easy to chat with and was very responsive to any and all emails that we sent. We met up with him a few weeks before our wedding to chat and set some expectations for our day. We left that meeting really excited about working with Andy and totally at ease getting ready for our day. The day of, he was super punctual, on task and always on the look out for unique angles to capture different aspects of our day. He’s also a blast to hang out with, so it made being on camera less intimidating and everyone was at ease all day long. We wish we had another reason to work with him! We can’t recommend him enough.

Ok, let me begin by saying, Andy isn't only one of best videographers (if not THE BEST) out there, but he might actually be one of the nicest people I've ever encountered. Working with Andy was a breeze and it was so enjoyable for my wife and me from when we first had our consultation meeting with him at his office/production lab in Beverly, MA to our actual wedding. He is extremely professional, very friendly, easy to talk to, a great listener for your wedding film needs, and just makes people feel good about getting married because of the energy and charisma he naturally exhibits. Andy isn't just someone filming your wedding, he is an artist. Andy will make you see things from your special day that you may have not even realized was happening at the time because of how fast it goes by in the blink of an eye. The day of the wedding Andy was SO PUNCTUAL that he actually arrived a little earlier than he told me he would and obtained some beautiful aerial drone footage of our wedding venue in Cape Cod. After getting the drone footage, I brought Andy back to the rental house I had for my groomsmen so that he could get some getting ready footage as well as some candids. Amongst my groomsmen, Andy just felt like another close friend in my presence and actually made me feel more at ease as I got ready on my special day. Being an extrovert myself, it was so nice to have someone to talk to when I wanted to but also good that Andy would vanish subtly, without us knowing, only to be getting 2 to 3 more shots at different angles. His blend of how personable and approachable he is with how professional and prioritizing he is without additional direction make him fantastic at what he does. It's a rare talent to be able to manage people and lead without directing and Andy knows exactly how to get what he needs doing just being great with people so they naturally respond to him. In his first "teaser" trailer he released just the morning after our wedding, it was apparent that he was able to put together the perfect shots from our first look with some drone footage, slow motion, and perfect background music for us to relieve the emotion I felt when I saw my bride for the first time. The second teaser video came about a month later and showcased our reception dance floor and wedding band, BearFight (also a top-notch choice I'd recommend). Again, Andy picked the perfect shots, MANY MORE for this teaser, and sped them up a bit then blended them together to create a montage of the dancing was nothing short of INSANE. I'm honestly floored of how many of our guests and family he was able to get footage of and include in the trailer. The best way I can describe the "Films by Andy" that he creates, is cinematic quality footage with organic emotions captured in the raw and unrefined. Andy has the ability to capture these natural wrinkles in time and iron them out perfectly so that we can relive our special days over and over for the rest of our lives.

Andy is everything and more any couple would hope for when hiring a videographer! I could go on and on about how great Andy is, but in fear of losing any readers, I’ll leave you with a few words to sum up this wonderful and talented human being in a nutshell: Professional. My husband and I were married 5 months ago and our friends and family are still commenting on how nice Andy was, and how amazing and beautiful our wedding film is. Andy was incredible to work with! He is 100% professional in every aspect. Andy created a quick two minute engagement film for my fiancé and I and we couldn't be happier with it! Having this film is such a great way to kick off our engagement to share with friends and family. It will be such a special memory to look back on to really remember the excitement of getting engaged. As someone who does not like to be in front of the camera, Andy made it so easy to feel comfortable and act completely myself. Andy was fantastic from the beginning! He is the nicest person with such a happy personable personality. I’m pretty sure he was smiling the entire day with us! I knew from the first phone call and many views of his work on his Instagram that Andy was going to be our videographer. You can see through his teaser videos he captures amazing moments of your big day. He was professional but made you feel like a friend at the same time. On the day of the wedding he is in every moment capaturing the happiness without making you feel like your being followed by a camera. He also worked so flawlessly with my photographer who he has never worked with before. That’s a huge plus! Andy was an absolute dream to work with! Andy came highly recommended from our photographers. We actually never met in person until the day of our wedding, but I felt like I had known him forever! Everything from the start was so easy. We talked on the phone, Skyped, and he was so accommodating. The day of the wedding was perfect and he captured every little moment. I forgot he was there half of the time! The reception was a blast and got away from us-we asked him to stay a half hour late and he didn’t even blink an eye (even though he had a long drive ahead of him). I am sad that we won’t be able to work with him again, and I highly recommend him to everyone!

I wasn't sure that I wanted to have a video of our wedding. Nobody ever seems to watch them. Wrong! Andy created the most heart warming, smile inducing film I have ever seen. We have watched and shared it over and over and over and everyone loves it. Heck, it made my groomsman cry and he hasn't wept since the Philadelphia Flyers came back from 3 games down to beat the Boston Bruins in the 2012 playoffs. Andy is remarkable and we are so thankful for his work! He also adds joyful little surprises as well. Don't hesitate!

Andy’s so great! He was professional and so helpful throughout all of our communications. He is clear and quick to respond and punctual on day of! I decided very very late if I would have a videographer or not and I am so glad I decided to do it (wouldn’t suggest that strategy). We received a teaser within a few days of wedding and it’s sooooo good. I’ve noticed he edits each video to match the couples personality which is so special. Also, he used the drone over the back of Misselwood and it’s so gorgeous! Def a plus if you have a beautiful venue you want captured in a different way. Take a look at his Vimeo page, that was so helpful to me. We haven’t received the final video yet but I know it’s going to be amazing!

Short version: Andy is the best. Longer version: from the beginning Andy has been amazing to work for an has felt more like a friend than someone we hired. I knew he was the right choice after our first video chat where conversation just came so effortlessly and felt like I was chatting with an old friend. My husband and I did an engagement shoot with Andy before the wedding and left feeling even more like friends than we previously had. Andy not only has an amazing eye but also an amazing personality and was able to make even my photo and video-phobic husband come out of his shell. Through our conversations before our wedding, Andy knew exactly what we were looking for in a wedding film and executed it perfectly. He was so fun to work with and captured the day so perfectly while really remaining under the radar during the ceremony and reception. I am SO GLAD I got the privilege of working with him and can not wait to find another excuse to film something!

Booking Andy was by far the best decision I made in my whole wedding planning process. I'll admit that a videographer was the last vendor we booked, it was hard to bite the bullet on paying for a video that we would watch once or twice. I knew when I selected Andy that I would not be disappointed, but I didn't realize how much having Andy as a part of our wedding would enhance our day. I also didn't realize how wrong I was about the number of times I'd watch my video! Andy got to know us leading up to the day and when he arrived at my house while I was getting ready, he was a positive, kind, and calming addition to my getting ready crew. I can't even believe some of the moments he was able to capture that are so special to us and our family, like the look of pride on my 87 year old grandmother's face as we exited the church or the smile on my 9 month old nephew's face as we I got ready. All of my family members love it. After sharing it on Facebook, I have had somewhat random people tell me "I cried watching your wedding video." We are so grateful to Andy for his talent, his professionalism, his kind nature, and of course his willingness to give us the greatest wedding gift we could have ever received: a beautiful video that we will treasure for the rest of our lives!

My daughter Molly had Andy film her wedding on May 5, 2018. We have only had a peek at the video so far as it is being edited, but what we saw so far looks amazing! What I really wanted to comment on is how easy Andy is to work with both before the wedding and at the wedding itself. He was always available to answer any questions and seemed truly excited to share in your huge day prior to the wedding. The day of the wedding you wouldn't even know he was there. WOW! My husband and I originally weren't planning on having a videographer at all but after a friend told us that was the biggest regret from her wedding, we changed our minds and we are SO glad we did! Andy was an absolute pleasure to work with from the first time we talked right through the wedding day. He created such a fun and comfortable atmosphere and never made us feel stressed about being on camera. He was so un-obtrusive we barely noticed him there (in the best way possible) yet he still managed to capture the most stunning footage of our special day. And I don't even know where to begin with our highlight reel. I have watched that 7 minute video about a thousand times already! From the footage to the editing and the music we literally could not have asked for anything more. Andy truly exceeded all of our expectations!!!

We absolutely LOVE our wedding video. Andy captured the day beautifully. The extras he included with the speeches and dances were perfect as well. Andy is amazing! He is so talented and was absolutely fantastic to work with. Before hiring him, I had been going back and forth because I wanted to hire a videographer, but my husband and our families were hesitant. I talked to a bunch of different videographers, but could never really make up my mind. Finally, I found Andy and I felt like he just understood exactly what I was looking for so I decided to go for it. Looking back now, it was one of the best decisions I made. Andy made the entire process so easy - he was always very responsive and happy to answer all of my questions. On the day of our wedding, Andy was up for anything - running around from location to location so he could capture us both getting ready and setup well in advance of the first look to get the perfect shot and staying until late into the night. After the wedding was over, Andy delivered our highlight reel even faster than I was expecting and it was beautifully done. He also made us a bunch of short edited clips of particular moments (vows, first dance, parent dances, toasts, dance reel) and worked with me to create a mini highlight reel to a song I love. I am so happy with these clips because they are short enough that they are really practical and easy to enjoy. Andy also gave us all of the raw footage from the entire day. Andy’s work really captured our wedding in a way that is so different from photos. Now, we can’t imagine not having it and are so thankful that we went for it because it is something we never could have done over or gotten back. Andy is a remarkable talent and a truly kindhearted, wonderful person. He has so much dedication and enthusiasm for what he does. Looking at his work, I think its obvious that he captures weddings in a way that is very unique and personal to the couple. I cannot recommend him enough. He is the best of the best.

Andy did a fabulous catching the excitement of the day! Some of the things that really made me happy that we chose him. He is super friendly, my guests barely noticed that he was there, he made one camera look like two, great music choices for the highlight reel and final product, he is professional and courteous! “To Infinity and Beyond” is not just a motto. Andy quite literally went above and beyond for us throughout our entire Wedding process. From the beginning, Andy stayed in communication with us about our expectations and vision for our special day. His incredibly positive and calming attitude completely put us at ease and greatly added to the fun of our day. His footage was absolutely breathtaking and captured ALL of the emotion and artistic opportunities of the day. We can not say enough about the high end quality of the film. It truly was beyond anything we ever could have imagined. The song Andy chose was perfect and matched up perfectly to our personalities. Having Andy as our videographer was hands down the best decision of our Wedding. He is unbelievable to work with and his talent second to none.

Andy is fantastic -- throughout the whole process. He is kind, respectful, responsive and a wonderful human being. Andy wants to know everything - from asking silly questions to really getting to know you to walking through the big day. He really truly believes in love. He works his magic with a camera as part of his gear and is completely non-intrusive; we barely knew he was there. We did get to snag a picture with him during the day. His editing is off-the-charts incredible. My "I majored in film" friends are impressed with his work. A couple of things -- you are getting a 6-9 minute video as a snapshot of the whole day with edited shots of the mother/son; father/daughter; maid of honor speech, and best man speech. We have yet to get around to it yet; but we would like edited versions of certain areas such as the tea ceremony, our ceremony, and our getting ready moments of reading the letters. We think this will be an additional cost to our base cost. If you find yourself wondering if you should get a videographer -- do it -- my husband and I waffled back and forth. The factor that ultimately made our decision to have a videographer is that sound helps us relive those memories -- we want to continue to hear the voices, laughter, and interactions of those who may pass before us. Go with Andy. You will not regret it.

I bet you wish that one of your best friends not only did wedding Videography but was also exceptionally skilled at it. Well that's pretty much what you get with Andy. Andy was unlike most of our other vendors in that it was so much more than a business transaction. Andy felt like a great friend from the beginning until the very end (and on). He's a dedicated hard worker and he puts your interest first. What the website won't show you is how easy Andy is to work with, how much skill and experience he brings to the table, and how much fun you will have on your big day getting shots with Andy. Andy hit all of my criteria and I think I was a pretty annoying customer. He gave us all our raw video, he doesn't use big obnoxious LED lighting, he let's your photographer be the boss, he gets the shots he needs (and you want) quickly and efficiently, and he is very flexible in terms of payment and cost. The value you are getting at Films by Andy is unreal. He does amazing stuff an amazing price. If he's not already booked up for your weekend you'd be wise to lock him in. I think his blog and work speak volumes about his talent.

Andy's work is unbelievable. He knew exactly where to be and was so great to work with. Before our wedding day, he gave us a run down and asked if we had any questions, he got so many good shots and was rarely in the line of sight of Hannah or I or any of our guests. He is super flexible with shots, weather conditions, and his main concern is capturing your day in the most beautiful way possible. Andy was spectacular ! He was our videographer, now turned friend ! He made us feeling completely at ease. He is one of the most personable people I know. We had several talks before the the wedding date, and Andy was always quick to respond if I had any questions. We could not have been more pleased with Andy from the beginning. Because of budget, we did not think we would be able to have a videographer at our wedding (which would have been tragic of course). My sister, an old college-mate of Andy's, asked him if he would be willing to work with our specific situation and he immediately jumped in, offering us a price we couldn't believe. Because we were living on opposite coasts, we did all our meeting and communicating online until the weekend of the actual wedding. We instantly felt comfortable with Andy, as he asked us our story and got to know us as people and a couple... not just clients. The weekend of the wedding, he jumped in and helped like we were old friends. Though Andy's approach is relational, personal & friendly, he also managed to maintain business professionalism start to finish. Now we'll finally get to his Product. We are in love with our wedding highlight reel. Once the wedding started, Andy disappeared. I never really saw him throughout the wedding. He wasn't in the way and he wasn't causing a scene. Yet SOMEHOW, he captured the smallest, most intimate moments at the reception between friends and family. Moments that I barely remember happening, and that I definitely don't remember him being near by, were somehow caught by Andy. Andy worked very well alongside our wonderful photographers, never stepping on their toes, but also not hesitating to ask for a certain angle or shot he didn't want to miss. All in all.. I would absolutely recommend Films By Andy to any brides to be. You won't be disappointed. You'll have video footage that is so much more than merely images; it will capture the mood & personality of your special day, making viewers feel they got to attend the wedding, and allowing you to relive it over and over. Andy was such a pleasure to work with! He was present and captured so many sweet and important moments from our wedding day, but was never in the way of anything happening. Somehow he managed to capture all of the very "us" moments in our video without us even realizing it. We love our video and still watch it regularly. It has also been a great way to share with friends and family who couldn't make it that day - they really got a feel for the event! We asked Andy to film our wedding in August of 2013. It was his first time doing a wedding but you would have never been able to tell. Andy was easy to communicate with and he really listened to what we wanted for our wedding film. We asked for a video of the whole service from start to finish (for family that could not attend), along with other shots during the ceremony and the reception. We wanted his filming to be fully candid. He was to be like a guest, observing all of the moments that my husband and I would probably (and totally did) miss. I made sure to mention certain moments that I wanted to be captured as well (first kiss, our first time being announced husband and wife, us with our families, etc). On the day of, Andy was easy-going and fun. I never noticed him during the wedding service and I barely did during the reception. He blended right in. He really has a good instinctual eye for detail. He was all over the place, capturing everything we wanted. He moved silently around the wedding and was able to collect beautiful moments from unconventional angles. He worked great with our photographer. Our photographer, who had done hundreds of weddings, commented on how naturally talented Andy was. Andy was also quick to get us our video. He had hours and hours of film to work through, but we had our video within 2 weeks. We actually let him borrow my Canon Rebel SLR to film the ceremony and he returned it, safe and sound, as soon as we came home from our honeymoon. I would highly recommend Andy for your wedding. He is a kind, responsible, professional and talented videographer.

My husband and I got married in September and throughout our planning process we were back and forth on if we wanted a videographer. Finally as we got closer to the date we knew we wanted someone to capture our special day and were able to connect with Andy. After doing some research and looking at his videos on his website I knew his fresh and candid perspective would be a perfect fit. Andy is an incredible videographer. On top of this, he is a great guy and an absolute pleasure to work with. Andy has a very innovative way of capturing all of the most important moments of the day, the decorations, the landscape etc. He has the ability to make everyone photogenic (even those uncomfortable in front of a camera). Andy is the best! My friend got married a few months before me and she hired him to do her wedding highlight video. At the time I wasn't planning on hiring a videographer since we were paying so much for our photographer I figured why bother. But when I saw my friend's video I knew I had to hire Andy. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I was instantly obsessed and sent the video to my friends and family, most of whom did not know my friend. Everyone was in tears and in agreement about how wonderful the video was. Also, I was at my friend's wedding and i never once noticed the videographer. He just blended right in! There was a shot in her video of me doing her bustle and I never even knew that was being filmed. I contacted Andy the same night as I saw my friend's video. He is so super friendly and responsive. He was very accommodating to us since we were so busy with wedding planning. We met via Facetime since we were too busy to meet in person. He went over what we wanted in detail. I was never once worried that anything would go wrong with Andy. I got my video about a month after my wedding and it was worth the time and the money. It was even more amazing than I thought it would be. Everyone who has seen it is impressed with how artistically done it is. I could not be happier. Andy is a great guy and an extremely talented videographer. He posts his videos on his FB page so check them out if you are thinking of hiring him. At the beginning of wedding planning, my husband and I discussed hiring a videographer. I thought videographers only provided you with long videos of your wedding day that you would watch maybe one time and then likely never watch again. We decided that this was an expense that we would forego for our wedding. However, a couple of months into wedding planning, my sister introduced me to the idea of wedding highlight videos. I fell in love with the concept - a short 5 minute video, easily shareable, that captures the feel of your day. After watching some of these videos, I obsessed with the idea of hiring a videographer. But my husband was still not overly impressed - he doesn’t like to see himself on video. Plus, we had heard horror stories from a friend whose sister’s videographer was all up in their business all day and made people pose for an overly refined wedding video that didn’t capture the feel of their day at all. So as the months of wedding planning went by, I continued to watch strangers’ highlight videos and cry at the beautiful films. I wanted to hire a videographer so badly, but I didn’t think we could fit this into our budget. About a month before our wedding, I searched online and found the site Thumbtack. I had never heard of this site before, but it lets you customize a request for professionals of all sorts, and then the pros will get back to you with a quote based upon your request. I submitted a request for a wedding videographer on a whim, and that’s how I found Films by Andy! I watched a few of Andy’s highlight videos online, and they seemed to be just what I was looking for, and Andy’s quote was less than half the cost of the other pros I got quotes from! I quickly set up a time to meet with Andy, deciding that I would pay for the videographer myself, I wanted one so badly, and Andy’s prices made that possible. My husband and I met with Andy, and he was so incredibly friendly. We decided to hire Andy for our big day, and I am so happy we did! On the day of the wedding, Andy arrived right on time, and he was so unobtrusive that I barely noticed him there. He was also so nice that my father made it a point to tell me how friendly Andy was. At one point immediately following the ceremony Andy told me he was capturing some really great footage. He seemed so excited, it was so nice to see him genuinely care about the work he was doing. Andy provided us with an amazing highlight reel only 2 weeks after our wedding! The video is everything I could have hoped for and more. It incorporates scenes from our whole day - getting ready, our first look, family portraits, our ceremony, and the reception. He worked with the DJ so that he could pipe into the audio so that you can hear part of our vows. And he used our first dance song in the video for a special added touch. I cannot express to you how much I love this video. I have watched it over and over again, and it still brings tears to my eyes. My husband, who was so conflicted about hiring a videographer, loves it as well! He even tells me about how he watches it while at work, so not only just when I make him watch it! I also asked Andy to capture as much as he could of special moments throughout the day - the ceremony, our first dance, the toasts. Even as a single shooter, Andy was able to capture all of these special moments! I am so happy with my decision to hire Andy as our videographer. He was such a pleasure to work with. Thank you Andy!!!
