w he live mixed the ceremony music and made everything flow smoothly. I felt really intimidated when I started my search for a DJ because I had a few really negative phone calls with some other DJs. As soon as I had my first conversation with Joe I knew he was the DJ for us. He made me feel so much better and assured me that what I was asking for was totally reasonable.  He was willing to work to make my exact visions come true. He was happy to play any of the oddball songs I knew that I wanted, but was able to incorporate them in a way that kept the dance floor alive and exciting. He even worked with our officiant to give us the most amazing cinematic first kiss moment with our recessional music.  I can't even begin to express how perfect our night was, and a HUGE part of that was thanks to Joe.

f music across many genres and eras, and Joe totally understood (and enjoyed) their vibe. He is a Berklee School of Music (Boston) alum, and his musical chops and knowledge of and appreciation for a wide array of music was one of several reasons why our daughter and her fiance thoroughly enjoyed their music planning sessions with him. In addition, Joe has a friendly, calm, reassuring presence that helped steer the bride and groom, the bridal party, and the bride and groom’s fathers—who officiated the wedding—successfully through the ceremony (for which Joe provided amplification and recorded music). There were a lot of moving parts—the two officiants with lavalier microphones, a stationary microphone, background music, someone playing acoustic guitar (unmic’d), and my request to have the officiants’ microphone volume turned down when singing along with a group hymn so our voices wouldn’t boom above everyone else’s--that Joe was spot-on on top of throughout the ceremony. I should also note that the ceremony sound quality (in an outdoor setting) was excellent. Joe had three distinct spaces where he had to set up his equipment--in the ceremony area, in the reception tent, and in the indoor dance area. That was a lot of logistical maneuvering, but he did it all invisibly in the background and expertly well, without breaking a (noticeable) sweat, all the while making it look like he was the most relaxed person present. The DJ'ing portion of the evening was excellent as well. Joe stayed in the background, as requested, and played an excellent mix of music, reading the audience as needed. And he worked my middle-eastern-dancing sister's five-minute bellydance routine into the dancing part of the evening quite seamlessly, even when she then exited the dance floor without transitioning to the Horah as originally planned (she forgot!). Joe managed that blip quite well. It says a lot that long after our guests had departed, Joe was still packing up and rolling out all his equipment--he had a lot of gear to deal with. And however tired he might have been, it didn’t show an iota, and he was as cheery, kind, and friendly as the moment when he first arrived. Pretty impressive! It takes a village to make a wedding happen, and Joe’s contribution within that community of wedding vendors was critical. We highly recommend him and would work with him again in a heartbeat.

DJ for our wedding and he was perfect! We made sure he had what he needed for his space and he came early to set up, he had our list of "must plays" and "don't plays" with him as well as the timeline. He melded perfectly into the day and night and everyone loved his music! As well as his voice, it was soothing but also super fun and very much a professional. I highly recommend this company as well as Kyle!

same thing and no one truly stood out. We ended up taking about a 3-4 month break on looking for a DJ because we were so ambivalent. Then we met with Joe at FTE. Immediately, we knew he was our DJ. Joe was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and professional from the start. He always seemed as excited about our wedding as we were, even on the actual day (I don't think he stopped smiling). I really cannot say enough good things about Joe. We had guests come up to us at our wedding asking for his contact information because he is just that good. If you are feeling stuck or unsure where to start, my advice is to just hire Joe with FTE. The portal he uses is super simple and asks all the right questions. He knows so many genres and artists and complied with our extensive "do not play" list. On the day of, every song was played correctly, at the right time, and the right cues. He even came up to the bridal suite after our ceremony to touch base about how we were feeling and any questions we had before he presented us into our reception. Above all, Joe was easy to work with, incredibly nice and had great energy the whole night. I told him I wanted a girls night out at the club vibe and he definitely delivered.

Joe was professional and easy to work with. He was responsive and willing to work with our music tastes, double-checking to make sure he had the right versions of some more obscure kpop songs. He cued everything perfectly for our ceremony and managed all the announcements with an excitement that didn’t feel forced or corny. Most importantly, he is a fantastic dj who did a great job of reading the room and keeping the dancefloor going. He created a good flow for the night with his song choices while still playing our must play songs and faded songs out at the right moment so nothing dragged on too long. We had so many guests comment on how much fun they had dancing and how great the song selections were.

what all went into something like hiring a DJ. Thankfully, Michael (our DJ), and Joe at FineTune Entertainment made everything as seamless as possible, and helped us navigate the process. Admittedly, our plan kind of sucked, and I'm certain that Michael was probably very confused by [my] terrible attempts at conveying our hopes to have some ballroom style dance music, and some kid music, all while trying to put together a cohesive playlist for everyone involved. But if he was, he did a great job of putting that aside and moving forward to make sure we had the best possible experience. And we did! So, so many of our guests complimented us on him and his ability to read the room. And even though the majority of adult guests didn't do much dancing - including, sadly, us - He had all of those kids moving and grooving with a selection of Disney hits and more poppy music. It was not at all what I pictured happening, but Michael deftly navigated it all, and just killed it. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.

om the same company, we were able to book a solo guitarist for our ceremony, a jazz trio for cocktail hour, as well as our excellent DJ for the reception. We initially interacted with Joe, and he took the time to listen to what we wanted out of our wedding entertainment, and was always incredibly responsive whenever we needed anything. Our guests raved that our ceremony guitarist—Norwood—was one of the best guitarists they had ever heard, and we couldn’t agree more. Norwood also took the time to learn a custom arrangement for our recessional. We didn’t personally interact with the jazz trio that played during our cocktail hour (as we barely made it to cocktail hour), but our guests enjoyed the live music. Last by not least, our DJ—Dave—was excellent! He was very responsive throughout the whole process and took the time to mix tracks together ahead of the wedding so that my dad and I could practice our father daughter dance. He isn’t one of those DJs that talks all the time (which is exactly what we wanted), and he really knew how to maintain the flow of the entire night. The Fine Tune Entertainment team was professional, friendly, and really listened to what we wanted, delivering an unforgettable evening!

He has an amazing website that helps you plan out your night with a questionnaire about first dance songs, do not plays, etc and also has set playlists on his websites to help guide your vibe. Additionally, Joe meets with you before you book him, after you book him and then again a week or two before the wedding to go over final details. My husband and I changed outfits in the middle of the night and once again Joe read the room and played a song that everyone knew and could sing along to. The fact that our wedding photographer made a comment about our DJ keeping the party alive all night says it all! He knows how to keep the party going and you can not go wrong with booking him!!! He made our night exactly what we wanted! HIGHLY suggest.

He was so friendly and excited for us on our upcoming marriage and wanted to do everything he could to make our day the best day of our lives! During our "final meeting" we reviewed his portal in great detail and eased all of our anxieties with his responses, expertise, and his overall experience. All of our guests commented on how beautiful and audible the ceremony went/sounded due to the set-up that Joe made happen. The music was the perfect volume for the ceremony and reception! The dance floor was full of guests of all ages and our guests commented on how great and recognizable the music was. His set-up was amazing and even better with colored lighting behind his DJ station. I would definitely recommend Fine Tune Entertainment and Joe for any event!

Leading up to the wedding, Joe and his team were always quick to respond whenever we had a question, and their portal/questionnaire were easy to navigate as well. The team even helped put together a special song for the mother/groom dance. Everyone here is great to work with, and we highly recommend them!
