We got married at Forehouse KC on July 18, 2026, with 115 guests, including kids, and could not have been happier with our choice! We used the ceremony space and the indoor space for our reception, and the venue ended up being absolutely perfect for our group size. The upstairs area was spacious for getting ready, gave us perfect lighting for taking pictures, and giving family and friends a place to tuck away throughout the night. We were initially a little worried that the space might feel too small for 115 people when we first saw the floor plan, but it ended up being the perfect fit. The double sided bar and stair case are truly one of a kind. One of our favorite things about Fire House is how much character the space has. We didn’t feel like we had to go overboard with decorations to make it feel special or unique to our style. The parking for guests was also easy and convenient. Our point of contact, Amy, was so organized, accommodating, and responsive throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding. We left our final walkthrough with Amy with little to no questions or doubts and we felt confident that everything was taken care of. Another big perk was arriving on our wedding day and having all of the chairs, tables, and tablecloths were already set up according to our agreed-upon floor plan. Having one less thing to coordinate on an already busy day makes such a difference! We are so grateful we chose Firehouse KC for our wedding and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, unique, and well-managed venue in Kansas City. It was truly the perfect space for our wedding!

Housed in the restored Fire Station No. 31, Fire House KC has been meticulously renovated with tradition and elegance. Throughout the entire space, several preserved accessories and artifacts from the era are showcased, including the original fire pole and fire hose shaft. Blending the history of the area with modern infusions, Fire House KC is now a classy, elegant, and charming event space. The main hall showcases original brick walls and windows, with antique chandeliers adding a touch of elegant refinement. The second floor, which once housed the offices and sleeping quarters for one-duty workers, now features multiple suites for the wedding parties to prepare as well as a perfect intimate ceremony room. A private courtyard space is also available, making an ideal area for a ceremony, cocktail hour, or for guests to enjoy a breath of fresh air. Couples who choose to celebrate here can invite up to 150 of their loved ones to enjoy the celebrations in this truly remarkable location. Newlyweds-to-be can host both ceremonies and receptions at Fire House KC and have access to the entire space. Located in the heart of Kansas City, our intimate venue is perfect for your wedding or unique event. Over the past month, our venue has been undergoing a transition with new management. While this transition will bring so many exciting updates and improvements to the venue, it looks as though your tour booking was unfortunately not passed along to us during that transition. Sadly, your messages were archived surrounding your tour requests, and the appointment was not placed on the calendar and sadly, certain phone numbers have been deactivated during the transition. Please know, this is not an excuse, we want to do what we can to make this right. I have reached out via text, phone call, here on The Knot via messaging and email, and would love to chat about finding a solution as soon as possible. ng ready area upstairs had plenty of room for everyone with great natural lighting. Our ceremony was held outdoors in the courtyard, and the area was absolutely gorgeous during the fall season. The reception area was just the right size for everyone to mingle and dance. Our venue manager, Molly, and the day of staff were all very kind and easy to work with throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend Fire House KC!

owever they also have a GORGEOUS upstairs small ballroom for more intimate, indoor weddings. Firehouse KC was super helpful with helping us pick vendors too (we live several states away from KC and had a hard time picking vendors). They have a list of their "friendors," their favorite vendors that they've worked with in the past. That was really helpful for us to narrow down our vendors! Katie was our venue manager and she was a GEM to work with. She made everything so easy, she anticipated our needs and was able to make our wedding stress free because of how hard she worked. Because the space can fit much bigger weddings, we hoped it wouldn’t feel too spread out, but it was the opposite. It was intimate and special in every way possible! The Fire House KC team worked diligently alongside my wedding planner & vendors to make sure the day was as perfect as can be. No details were left untouched and we had absolutely no issues from start to finish. They were amazing! We are forever grateful. Highly recommend this venue for all weddings, big and small.

Communication about our wedding day was always clear, and Katie was very responsive to questions and concerns. Our wedding day was magical and everything we dreamed it would be! We had a fairly small wedding (less than 60 guests), and it was the perfect size for our family and friends. While the weather did not cooperate for the outdoor wedding we had planned, the upstairs candle room was gorgeous and the perfect substitute. The sound system was excellent and the lighting was beautiful. We loved the getting ready suites for the bridal and groom parties, too. ell. We booked the venue almost two years in advance so we had a slightly different contract than offered now, meaning we had access to the space as early as 8am day of. We needed some of that time for hair and make up but ultimately, as they already had tables and chairs ready, set up only took us about an hour with our rehearsal time the day before. Parking is a little rough as guests need to use street parking or the church across the street but Katie will give you a map to share with guests. Let’s hope yours look at it more than ours.

nd I loved how the FireHouse created such a beautiful space while still maintaining the historical aspects of the building. We were blessed with perfect weather, so we got to enjoy the full extent of the property including the outdoor courtyard for our ceremony and the upstairs space for our rehearsal brunch that morning. Our guests just loved all the unique features, and our photographer was over the moon about shooting in such an eclectic space. It is truly one of the most unique venues you can find in KC. As for the staff, we can't say enough thanks to Janelle and Katie. Both were extremely responsive via email and helped out so much over the wedding weekend. We hired Katie fairly last minute to be our day-of-coordinator and she was SO WORTH IT! She was so easy to work with and executed our decor vision perfectly. Our wedding day was stress-free as she handled all vendor communications, site set-up, and last minute decor details. She even worked with us to pick some items up a few days later that we had accidentally left behind. Truly one of our best financial investments of the day! If in doubt, definitely hire Katie. Thanks for helping make our day seamless and memorable!
