Firefly Photography & Cinematography

We worked with Alex and Tara, who now run a different company called Alera Media. They were very great to work with. They were flexible with our schedules and took the time to get to know us and our relationship at our first meeting. They even bought us coffee, which was really sweet! Alex has been really quick to respond with e-mails and was very easy to work with. They also do an amazing job and have quite the talent with cinematography. The only downfall is it takes a really long time to get your final video product. We had our wedding in mid-July and haven't received our video yet. We were told to expect it in November. We do understand it is not easy to produce a good quality video and it is wedding season. Other than that, it was a pleasure working with them.

These guys are really fun and easy going. They made us feel super comfortable and were really quick at responding to any questions or concerns that I had. They were a little slow on getting my photo thank you cards and pictures back to me (as of right now, a little over a month out from the wedding, I have not yet received my pictures, only the thank you cards). They are high in prices, but I think the quality of product will be worth it. Pictures are what really lasts from the wedding so it was important to me to splurge a little on this part of the budget. I was only able to afford the photography, but I have seen the videos they do for the cinematography and I wish we could have afforded both! They were really great about working with my time constraints and were willing to continue photos after the reception just so we could get some good sunset opportunities. They were technically over the time I had booked them for. Overall I am super happy with the service and am patiently waiting for the rest of my pictures to be finished!!

Ryan and Alex of Firefly Blu videoed our wedding, and were amazing to work with. They are very professional and organized, but still manage to stay out of the way enough so you don't feel like you're making a movie amidst everything else going on that day. We haven't seen our video yet (processing and editing can take 16 weeks during the busy wedding season), but we've seen their other work, and it's amazing. We look forward to seeing our final video, and working with them again in the future!
