At Fireside Events, LLC, we are passionate about working with you to create the event of your dreams! You've chosen to celebrate something that is special. Bring Fireside on board to provide entertainment and we will be sure that you have an event that is special, too!
Your DJ will mix your music requests, so you get smooth transitions from song to song throughout the night. This technique allows for more of your requests to be played. More importantly, the DJ delivers a "roller coaster" of energy that builds throughout the night and raises the excitement and emotional responses of your guests to a level that no "iPod-DJ" (who plays one song to completion, then starts the next song) could ever reach.
Your Fireside DJ will also keep your friends and family in tune with the flow of your wedding. As “master of ceremonies,” they will comfortably get on the microphone to introduce important people, segue into special moments, and interact tastefully to raise hype on the dance floor.

Eric was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ! We wanted the dance floor to be exciting but also didn’t want a DJ that was pushy or trying to fill the dance floor at all times! He listed to what we wanted and created the perfect playlist that kept our dance floor full all night long. He was extremely kind and professional during our meetings and on wedding day!

One of our favorite additions was the self-service photo booth. Our guests absolutely loved it, and the album of photos we received afterward was priceless—so many hilarious and heartwarming moments captured. It was clearly a fan favorite and gave us such a fun way to relive the night.
We were also thrilled to receive complimentary uplighting for our event, thanks to Fireside’s great relationship with our venue (Waterfront Hall in Wheeling, WV). It was a thoughtful touch that made the space feel even more special.

m felt smooth and professional, but once we began working directly with DJ Jessica, the quality and reliability dropped significantly.
The night before our wedding at 8:35 PM, I received an email from the DJ asking for our entrance songs. These had already been confirmed in a previous email thread and submitted through their required music form. This last-minute request, sent only to me rather than copying anyone else on the team, created unnecessary stress on the eve of our wedding and left me feeling uneasy about how the day would unfold.
Unfortunately, those concerns were justified. On the wedding day itself:
The wrong section of the groom’s entrance song was played, despite us providing exact time stamps.
Our carefully created cocktail playlist was ignored, replaced with unrelated music. Later, this cocktail playlist was mistakenly played during dinner, when we had specifically requested jazz.
Very few songs from our "MUST play" list, required by Fireside, were actually played.
During one of our special events, the correct music was not played until our wedding planner confronted the DJ multiple times. It took five separate reminders before she finally switched to the playlist we had provided.
The mistakes did not stop there. The DJ introduced the groom and his mother incorrectly during their first dance, a moment that should have been handled with the utmost care. Despite our explicit instructions not to announce anything about our after party, the DJ announced it anyway, undermining our plans for a small, private gathering.
Overall, while Fireside Events initially gave us confidence, the lack of preparation, repeated disregard for our instructions, and the constant need for our planner to step in made what should have been a joyful, seamless experience stressful and frustrating. For a company that markets itself as a wedding professional, these mistakes were inexcusable. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend them.

Reading your review was difficult, as it’s clear that the service you received fell far short of both your expectations and the standards we promise to uphold. From the last-minute communication to the mishandling of key music selections and announcements, the issues you described are inexcusable. You were right to expect more from us, and we take full responsibility for these shortcomings.
We transitioned to a new wedding planner in the final months leading up to your wedding day. Jessica is also a newer DJ to weddings. These factors compiled with the finer details of your event, opening the door to the mistakes that were made.
We have made adjustments to our DJ training program and planning systems and processes to avoid shortcomings like this in the future. But that does not undo the stress and disappointment you endured on your wedding day. As such, we would like to offer you a refund as a gesture of accountability and sincere regret.

For the wedding, we had Jessica as our DJ. Jessica was incredible and helped us put together the most fun day we could've hoped for. From announcements, to music during the ceremony, and of course the reception, everything was perfect.
We cannot recommend them enough as everyone is kind, responsive, easy to work with, and made things so easy for us. The day was perfect and we can't thank them enough for everything they did to make the day so perfect for us.

Once we were introduced to our DJ Ryan he was amazing as well. On the wedding day, the timeline went perfectly and Ryan was able to adapt to our guests vibes on the dance floor. ted. We knew what information to present to them, and received communication to know it was received (or, if anything was not found/missing, they let us know before it was an issue). We had a great video discussion where we outlined all our expectations, finalized song choices, made some suggestions himself that were appreciated and incorporated, and came up with a very detailed timeline that helped us outline the wedding as a whole. He was very responsive in all email communications. Not to mention, it always felt like we were talking to a friend, not a business, which went a long way in making us feel at ease throughout the entire process.
The day-of experience was top-notch as well! Eric had the perfect energy and kept everyone engaged, from his wedding party intros, to the special dances/traditions, to his "Let's Make a Deal" way of releasing tables for food, and all the segues in-between. He was excellent at reading the room during the main dancing portion of the reception, knowing when to slow it down, but also keeping the celebration energy at the right frequency. And he made all the necessary announcements as we asked. We felt no need to manage the DJ experience, which very much contributed to letting us love and celebrate the entire night!
We would 100% refer any other couples to Fireside for their wedding (or any other) DJ needs!

us. He had fun ideas for releasing tables to the buffet, opening the dance floor, and other details that helped us feel like our reception was truly our own. We had a few song requests with special instructions in addition to the usual guest song requests and he nailed them perfectly. DJ Chris and DJ Angel made sure our reception was everything we'd hoped for.
Fireside also provided uplights, globe lighting, and "dancing on the clouds" effects for our first dance, and created the perfect ambience for the event. The National Aviary has strict requirements for how things can be mounted in their event space, and Fireside worked with them to figure out a way to hang globe lights, as this had never been done in the space. After setting up a trial layout, they sent us a photo of what the lighting set-up looked like with several options for us to choose from before asking us to commit to adding this to our package.

They were great with keeping us on schedule with meetings throughout the year and asked the right questions at the right time. I also need to say that I was *very* specific with what we wanted the vibe of our wedding to be in terms of music, down to a spreadsheet. The DJ we were paired with, Matt, went above and beyond to make the vision on the spreadsheet come to life. He was truly excellent. ick, we were incredibly pleased. Tanner was great with his timing, mixing, and announcements. Nick was phenomenal at directing us, keeping us in the loop with where we were in the itinerary. Overall the communication was spot on. We would absolutely have Fireside back with us for another event.
Additionally, we also paid to have a print ready selfie station at our event. This was a HUGE hit. People were using this all night. The ability to take photo strips that were printed right away was great but having the ability to share them via text or email right away was a huge hit for guests as well. We, of course, got a copy of all of them so we get to look back on all the great photos whenever we want. Overall we were very pleased.

e was so organized and detailed and made sure we didn’t forget a single thing. She also made sure that the night of our wedding was running smoothly and perfectly. She is THE BEST. Tanner did such an amazing job getting a feel for our music taste and the playlists he put together for cocktail hour, dinner and dancing couldn’t have been better. No one left the dance floor all night. We all had a blast!!!!

Erinn are personable and organized. We had two planning sessions with them. They provided a lot of “homework” for us to complete, which allowed us to provide a list of must plays for big moments. They also worked seamlessly with our planner to create a timeline for our wedding. A few weeks before the wedding, we received a very detailed running plan for our day. Eric made all of our big moments feel easy and seamless. The day moved on schedule and he helped immensely with the flow of events. And when it was time to dance, the floor was full until the very end.
I also want to give a special shout out to Lee Anne, Fireside’s planner. She was our primary point of contact and was easy to reach and quick to answer questions. When we requested a video recording add on at the last minute and a videographer wasn’t in the budget, Lee Anne made it happen for us! I highly recommend Fireside for any DJ or MC needs!
