About this vendor
FireWyre Films is a wedding videography company based in Wilmington, DE. The business is ready to work with couples to find the right package that fits their needs. Pertaining to their style, they strive to create videos that move audiences and leave them with uplifting feelings.
Laird Scoot, the owner and head videographer of FireWyre Films has been filming weddings since 1998. His passion for the art form was inspired by his love for seeing the world from interesting angles. Laird now prides himself on bringing that inspiration to others through the lens of his camera.
Laird aims to beautifully paint a full picture of wedding celebrations by uniting candid moments with details of the event setting. When capturing footage, Laird strives to document all the merriment, from the wedding party entrance all the way to the final dance. While crafting the final video, Laird expertly adds special effects such as lens flares and dynamic coloring to enhance the flow of the piece.
FireWyre Films offers two wedding packages with full-day coverage. Both packages come with the option for couples to choose the soundtrack they desire for their wedding video. The packages can also be enhanced with add-ons including an edited video of ceremonies and receptions.

Laird with FireWyre films was a great find!! His pricing was very reasonable and his work was outstanding. He was so easy going on our wedding day and really made us feel comfort...
able in front of the camera. He was so quick to get our wedding video back to us which was greatly appreciated. Instead of one long video, we have multiple shorter videos separated into categories. This was not something I had seen with other film companies but really I think it's the best way to go. My husband and I find ourselves watching specific videos (like the ceremony) when we are wanting to look back.
Laird also stayed longer than our contract and got some great footage of us dancing the night away!! We are so excited to have such a great way to remember our wedding day! Thanks Laird!
I would highly recommend hiring Laird as a videographer for your wedding. Laird was able to capture all of the best moments of the day. He went above and beyond any of our expectat...
ions. He is courteous, timely, respectful and dependable. Laird truly enhanced our experience. We love our video and the ability to share it with some family members who were unable to make our wedding. Overall, the best Videographer ever!!
Of all the vendors we used for our wedding, our videographer was the most valued. I almost opted not to have a videographer because I did not know if we could afford the extra exp...
ense, but after working with him and telling him our budget, he more than met our needs.
He did an exceptional job capturing our day ... all by himself. He broke the video down into chapters so we have one of our wedding party preparing before the wedding, the actual ceremony, the photo sessions, the reception ... it's just beautiful. My husband and I sat and watched the video together for the first time over the holiday and started crying all over again. It's one thing to relive the wedding via photos, but seeing it visually with a video and hearing your vows live ... is priceless. This was the best, last minute decision, we EVER made. GET THE VIDEOGRAPHER!
When balancing the wedding budget between catering, venue, dresses, etc; the videographer was something we thought we could save money and not need since we had a photographer. Th...
at was a huge mistake and we are so lucky that someone gifted us Laird's (owner of FireWyre) services. We received previews of the video after returning from our honeymoon and the full video about a month after. After seeing the video for the first time, there is no substitute for getting a videographer, it should be an absolute necessity for every wedding! Laird was able to capture some incredible moments that we can now cherish forever and we were able to share these videos with family and friends that were not able to make the wedding to help them feel like they were there. FireWyre's services were extremely prompt (usually returning emails in minutes where others were weeks) and was willing to work with us and the photographer to make the wedding as seamless as possible. To those thinking about having that random uncle with a video camera do this, I highly recommend spending the extra money to hire a professional. Video was shot in HD, edited, blended and balanced very well. While there may be videographers that are higher end, Laird was compact to the point of most people not noticing him, provided great shots, was timely and finished with a quality product. 100% recommend his services and can not thank him enough for the 1,000 times we have watched the wedding already!

esponsive during the planning process. He was so discreet that we didn't even notice him filming! We were very impressed with the quick turn around time, too. Laird sent us video clips one week after our wedding, so we were able to watch on our honeymoon. We are so grateful for that! We now have a beautiful collection of memories that we will treasure forever. We highly recommend Firewyre Video!

Getting a video to remember our day was the best decision we could have made! Laird and his team were so incredibly easy to work with and they got all the special moments captured....
The two art films are my favorite by far! I would hire them again in a heart beat! Thank you for the memories I will be able to show all of our friends over and over again.
We hosted a 50th Anniversary party for my parents. Laird was there the entire time taking great pictures and video. He then created a memory book and video for us to give to our p...

Laird flew (at his own expense) to Colorado to video his friend's (and our son's) wedding. He moved quietly among the guests, never disturbing the mood of the moment. Yet, the imag...
es he captured were some of the best of the day…and night. He seamlessly edited the footage and added appropriate music. Laird's video is our favorite remembrance of the wedding. He really captured the overwhelming love we all felt that day.
Videography was very natural and artistic, capturing of Real Life moments while being very discrete. Highly Recommended!!!
Firewyre was great! We were engaged and married in 3 months and needed quality, customer service, and someone who was budget friendly. Laird was able to provide all of this and t...
hen some. He was so "on top of things" that he kept us moving along! His flexibility and customer service skills made working with him easy and a real pleasure! I would recommend him to anyone.
I did not have a videographer as a priority for my wedding; however, after working with Laird and seeing the amazing video that he put together, I could not imagine a better way of...
remembering our special day. From the 10 minute "highlights" video of the ceremony to the cool trailer he put together, everything was beautifully shot. Also, his videos, personalized with music of our choice, were wonderful in that each part of our wedding had it's own "chapter" on the DVD. In addition, it was nice to have a videographer that captured all of the most important parts of the day (e.g. ceremony, speeches, cake cutting and even our picture sessions); however, he was not in your face or at all obtrusive with his camera. His courteous and kind demeanor made him extremely well liked by our ceremony and reception places as well as all our guests! I really went by reviews for my wedding and I can not say enough about Laird and the extent he went to so that our wedding day was captured perfectly! Thank you to Laird and the entire Firewyre Video team!

f the video and Firewyre Video was completely amazing and professional. We were so lucky and fortunate in looking back that we asked you to capture not only our ceremony and reception, but all of the “behind the scenes” moments as well. It is truly a priceless piece of our lives that we will always be able to share with our friends and families and someday children. We cannot thank you enough Laird Townsend and Firewyre Video for creating this work of art that truly is a definition and symbol of the love that we shared throughout our special day. No amount of money will ever be able to replace what you were able to capture and from the bottom of our hearts we truly want to thank you for creating a video that shows the day our dreams came true.
With the utmost gratitude and appreciation, Your friends always, Mr. and Mrs. F
