This was my first visit, and Let me tell you, if you haven't visited, you are missing out. I've been to a few museum's, but this place is amazing. The history that theyed share is extremely helpful. The thing's that I learned in school was so ...
inaccurate about indigenous people. The museum was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and professional. Their knowledge about the galleries was second to none.

Very interactive discovery center. We came on Mothers Day. Wasn't busy at all. The staff were helpful and kind. We came with the library experience pass. Had to sign a waiver for everyone that is good until 2028 which was fast and easy. The spe...
cial effects and design are really a joy to witness. Took my kids a bit before they went through the treetop tunnels. My 5 year old thinks Claudia the coyote is a fox and loved hanging out her den. Would recommend going 100%.

Absolutely blown away! The First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City is a true hidden gem. I planned on two hours but stayed nearly four because the exhibits are so powerful and beautifully done.

ves and natural light, and the way they tell the stories of Oklahoma’s tribal nations feels respectful, moving, and deeply informative. The guided tour was excellent and really brought everything to life.
The only small downside is that some areas can feel a bit crowded on weekends, so arriving early helps.
Overall this is an experience with thoughtful displays, a nice cafe, and great accessibility. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting OKC. You won’t regret making the stop!

Reminded me of the National Museum of American Indians. A missed opportunity. So much of the museum is dedicated to all the misery and things that went wrong for the Native American people. Yes, horrible things happen. Yes the were mistreated. ...
But a museum should be about the beauty of the culture. The craftmanship to make everyday items as well as ceremonial. More regalia and how it changed over time. What makes each tribe special and unique. Very sad that you walk away feeling sorry for them instead of admiring the unique qualities of the tribes. The Buffalo Bill Cody Museum, Cody Wyoming or the Spirit of the Old West Museum in Danville, CA do a better job
