Review Part 2
Chris was our 25-passenger party bus driver. We had already been dropped off by our limo at the venue to take photos with our photographer before this service was to...
start so most of the experience in this review is second-hand from our guests. As previously discussed with First Choice Limo, all our shuttle times was both in our contract and on our wedding website for our guests knowledge. The shuttle was to make two trips for drop-off to cocktail hour and reception, leaving the hotel at 4:30pm & 5:00pm to be dropped off at 4:45pm & 5:15pm at Harrington Farm. The shuttle was to make five trips (4 advertised on our website & the 5th specifically for the bridal only) for pickup from the venue to drop off at the hotel, leaving Harrington Farm at 8:15, 8:45, 9:15, 9:45 & the last one for the bridal party at 10:15pm, dropping off at the hotel at 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, & 10:30pm.
Our guests told us that the first shuttle arrived at the hotel for pick up on time at 4:30, however, the second shuttle did not arrive on time for the 5pm pickup. Many guests missed the cocktail hour (5-6pm) altogether including the father of the bride, the parents & sister of the groom, & a bridal party kid. We're not sure what the driver was doing as this is a large gap in time. We were lucky the guests of honor arrived in time for the parent dances. Although the majority of the feedback for the guests ride back to the hotel at the end of the night was that the music was fun and enjoyable, we were also told that he drove fast (probably because he was behind schedule) and recklessly as our guests slide across the limo-like seats often. We were enjoying dancing at our reception so we are not sure when the first shuttle at the end of the night arrived; however, we do know that by the close of the reception at 9:45 (the last advertised bus for guests), there was no bus waiting for pickup. Chris didn't leave with the last guests until 10:20pm.
Then, it was our first-hand experience at the end of the night when we were expected to catch the shuttle ride back to our hotel. Knowing the last guest shuttle was behind schedule, we knew a round trip was about 30 min so were expecting to be picked up at 10:50pm (instead of originally scheduled 10:15pm); however, we were not picked up until after 11pm. Again, we're not quite sure what the driver was doing as the distance between the hotel and venue was only 15 min. We felt bad for the venue because the workers had to stay until we left and we were supposed to have been gone 45 minutes prior to pick up. Once picked up, Chris smelt like straight cigarette smoke. It was very potent and off-putting. We could only assume the reason he was behind schedule all day and all night was because he took smoke breaks. Through personal experience, we can agree with our guests that Chris drove fast and recklessly for our ride back as well; however, we did enjoy the music. By the time we arrived at the hotel, it was after 11:30pm and after checking into our room and changing out of our wedding dress/suit, we had missed 1.5hrs of our after party and the bar had already closed. Needless to say, it wasn't the way we intended to spend our time at our after-party. Overall, terrible experience with the shuttle service and Chris.
All in all, I would still recommend First Choice Limo as a company. However, I would definitely suggest asking who your driver will be as I would not recommend Chris & confirming what vehicle will arrive.
Review Part 1:
We used First Choice Limo for our wedding day. We got married at our church in Maynard, MA and our reception was at Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA. We utilized th...
eir services for a limo for the wedding party to get from the getting ready location to the church and again from the church to the reception. We also utilized their services for a guest shuttle from the hotel to the reception for cocktail hour and after the reception back to the hotel.
First Choice Limo was quick to reply to my initial inquiry via The Knot and any additional queries I had after booking up until the big day. Anyone I spoke to over the phone was very friendly. They worked with us for the services we were looking for and worked with our budget as we were inquiring about two different services. We were happy we could find a company that allowed us to get both a limo and shuttle to transport guests for a reasonable price. It was hard to find a company that allowed a guest shuttle to be used for the beginning of cocktail hour and post-reception transportation back to the hotel without charging us an arm and a leg for the entire duration from the start of first pick up, even though we didn't need services during the actual reception. We were super thankful that First Choice Limo allowed a 4-hour shuttle service to be split 2 hours for cocktail hour drop off and 2 hours for hotel drop off as paying for 6-7 hours would have been unnecessary money spent while the driver sat and waited for the reception to end.
In our contract, we had a 16-passenger Lincoln Navigator and an older Cadillac Escalade arrived. Not a big deal to us because we got from point A to point B with no issues, but it not the vehicle we had purchased. Phil was our limo driver. He was dressed professionally, in a suit, and was very polite. The limo was clean, had celebratory champagne, water, soda, and red carpet service. Phil knew back roads from our church to the reception venue as our wedding was a Friday afternoon and we knew there would be rush hour traffic on Route 2 during that time. We arrived on schedule to the reception and the ride was pleasant. Overall, great experience with the limo service and Phil!
First Choice Limousine was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Chris was our driver and he was SO kind and friendly. As soon as we walked on the limo bubbly was offered and...
we were easily able to play some music for the drive. What really stood out for us was we had a time schedule for the shuttle to take people back to the hotels. A few of our guests had wanted to head out a little earlier and instead of making them wait Chris did an extra trip to take them back to the hotel. From the moment we booked with this group to the last ride home the service was spectacular. We highly recommend First Choice and Chris!
Great service and easy to work with. The drivers were exceptionally professional, especially for our shuttle bus and with some difficult guests. Bruce was our limousine driver and ...
he was fantastic. Truly went above and beyond.
Booking First Choice Limousine was the BIGGEST mistake I made for my wedding on 08/11/18. It’s taken me a few months to finally write a review because I am still awe struck at the ...
terrible customer service from the woman at the office and the male who Is the the owner. I will start by saying that my experience with this company didn’t start out bad as I called the week of my wedding to book their services and thankfully they were able to offer me two 10 passenger limos on such short notice. I paid $400 deposit ($200 for each limo) and explained to the woman over the phone that the reason I needed the limos last minute was because we chose to do “first looks” last minute at a location 15 minutes away from my venue and I wanted the limos to transport my husband and I as well as our bridal party! Here’s where things with this company took a turn for the worse. FOUR days before my wedding I called the office because I needed to give them a final payment. Prior to submitting a payment I explained to the woman on the phone that the weather was currently calling for rain and that if it rains I would no longer need the limos as “first look” photos outdoors before my ceremony would no longer be an appropriate option. She suggested I called back closer to the wedding for the final payment so that we could “keep our eye on the weather”. So I called back two days later and now TWO DAYS before my wedding. I told her the same thing I told her two days prior, that the weekend was still showing on and off rain so she told me she would have the owner call me regarding this situation because at this point she made it a point to tell me that “they cannot hold up two limos for me if I don’t end up using them (if it rains) because then the company would be losing out on another job that actually needs them”. You could imagine how surprised and upset I was to hear a limo company basically tell me that they didn’t care if it was my wedding day. I have no control over the weather otherwise it would not have rained, and this is what I said to the owner when he called me the NIGHT OF MY REHEARSAL DINNER (night before the wedding). I was sure that when speaking with the owner he would have been more understandable about my situation than his office staff was because after all he is the owner and it should be about top quality customer care. He was the same if not worse than the office staff. The entire time speaking to him and explaining to him that I can’t control the weather forecast, he just kept telling me “well I can’t hire drivers for your event if you’re going to have to cancel because the drivers will need to get paid and we are going to lose out on two limos we could be using elsewhere”. This company was more worried about making money on these two limos than they were understandable about the situation they were now putting myself, my husband, and our bridal party in. During rehearsal my husband finally came up to me and told me to cancel. If the rain did in fact hold off, my “first looks” would have been ruined. I lost $400 because they would not return my deposits to me even though canceling the services was not a choice I wanted to make but a choice this company forced me to make because they were more worried about the money they were going to lose if I didn’t cancel. I would NOT recommend them. I should NOT have worried about anything the night leading to my wedding but this company certainly left a very bad impression on me. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!
Hired them for my wedding on 8.18.18 and got the Hummer H3. Working with them was very flexible and smooth, worked with them via the phone and emails only, I made many changes due ...
to the weather and they were just as smooth and nice and made the whole process easy for us. The driver was well dressed, great attitude, friendly, happy face and very professional. The Limo was absolutely STUNNING inside and out, the lights, the music system, the atmosphere, the cleanness, the champagne and the glass, everything was beautiful and perfect. So happy that we hired them and would definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking for great options and service. THANK YOU for making our experience great!
The customer service I have received from this company has gone from fantastic to awful. Leading up to my wedding, they were great. Sherry was a delight to talk to and she answered...
all of my questions in a very timely manner. Things with First Choice started to go south the day of my wedding. The plan was for the limo to pick the groomsmen up at the reception venue, bring them to the church then return to pick up the bridal party and bring them to the church (venue had suites for each party to get ready in). 15 minutes before the men were to be picked up I got a call saying that the limo had flat tire and would not be there till 20 minutes before the ceremony (the venue and church were about 15-20 mins away from each other - this was not going to work). The woman I talked to did not seem to have a sense of urgency in getting us to the church. To avoid as much delay as possible.. all of the groomsmen drove themselves to the church (not ideal), and the bridal party waited for the limo. The limo did not arrive when they said they would (20 minutes before the ceremony), but around the time the ceremony was supposed to start. We were late to the church, so the ceremony started late. Since we started late, we lost time we had allotted for photos between the ceremony and reception and did not get nearly the amount of photos we had hoped for to remember our special day.
On the way back from the church to the reception venue, not only did we find out it was not a flat tire, but a broken lug nut, but there was a leak in the back of the vehicle and the rain was leaking all over a member of the wedding party.
The next morning I sent the company an email about my experience with them. I received one back on Monday saying they were going to discuss it with the owner and get back to me. I received an email later that day of a receipt saying that refunded me a third of the cost, but no message from anyone that worked there. As of yet, no one from First Choice Limo has apologized to me.
I appreciate the refund, but a simple "I am sorry for the delay" or "I am sorry that there was a leak and it rained all over your wedding party" would have gone a long way. If they had apologized, I probably would of given them a better review..
Full disclosure, we used this same company at the end of the night for a town car to take my groom and I home, and the car and driver were on time and very attentive. We had no problems at the end of the night.
I am typing this on my phone.. sorry for any typos!

The one thing I would recommend about this company is Sherry - she was wonderful over the phone giving information, and was always quick with emails and questions.

the service of this company is NOT worth the money. We booked months in advance for my wedding, a 16 person stretch Cadillac. The vehicle showed up with a huge dent on the side, and the AC was not working well (my wedding was in mid-August in New Hampshire - AC was important). We had 14 people in the vehicle so you can imagine that we needed to have some good airflow, especially since our bridal party was hanging out for an hour in the limo having a few drinks while my husband and I took photos with the photographer. My brothers asked several times to the driver to turn the AC up, but the problem was not solved. By the time we returned to the limo, everyone was very hot and uncomfortable and not happy to be sitting in the heat for so long.
When I called to discuss the issues following the wedding, the owner told Sherry to tell us that 1) the dent was not something they could fix last minute (which is fine, I understand, but at least a heads up or discount up front would have been nice...) and that 2) the AC doesn't work in the limo when the limo is idling. I'm sorry - we were paying over $1200 for a few hours of using the limo, the limo should have been on and using gas in order to keep our guests comfortable - this was part of the contract we signed. He said that the limo "had to be moving" in order for the AC to work. This is extremely disappointing especially because I had mentioned that the bridal party would be in the limo while we took photos, and it goes without saying that we wouldn't want them to be sweating for an hour while waiting.
I am not one to call or complain about services, but I was disappointed that the company was reluctant to give any type of refund, and after several phone calls they finally offered a minimal refund. I definitely would not recommend the services to anyone, especially for a wedding, unless you have a wedding in the fall and don't need to use the AC, and don't mind if the vehicle shows up with a dent.

them over the phone. It was also a great value! Very affordable. We rented the 25 passenger party bus to take our guests to-and-from the hotel, church, and reception hall. The driver was super friendly, very accommodating, and he went above-and-beyond to make our wedding day easy and fun for everybody. The Party Bus was really nice also, and it was in good shape. It looked brand new. We are so glad we want with First Choice Limo for our wedding transportation.

dding day, we reserved one limo for both the groom/groomsmen and the bride/bridesmaids. The driver arrived to both sites ahead of schedule and even made it up my uncles difficult driveway! Only downside is that we could not get the music to work on the Lincoln Navigator at the end of the night on the ride over to the hotel.
First Choice Limousine absolutely lives up to the company name. We found First Choice after going with friends to a concert in one of their vehicles. My husband used them also for...
his bachelor party. Chris was our driver on the wedding day, he was wonderful! Chris was so helpful in the back of the church, he fixed my dress and opened the doors for me to walk down the aisle when a glitch caused no one to be there when the music started. In between the Church and reception venue there was a car accident, Chris was able to get us to the venue on time. I would highly recommend this vendor.
Absolutely awesome job they did for my wedding! Groom and I were so pleased with our drivers! Mine helped me every step of the way with... the up most care. He even walked me into ...
the church and held onto my dress till I was ready to walk down the isle! They were on time, and very professional! When we hired First Choice we personally drove to their office to see the vehicles and they were garaged and very well taken care of. Staff at the office were also very nice, friendly and easy to deal with! Highly recommend them for your next event!
overall good professional service.
