We hired Steve as our DJ, and he did an absolutely amazing job! My husband's family loves to dance and party, and he kept the dance floor going all night long! Steve was so easy to work with and is an awesome DJ. He was able to work with our requests and include all of the music we wanted to hear! The DJ set up was aesthetically pleasing and super cool! Would recommend First Coast Sound to anyone!

Steven was our Dj at our wedding 10.22.22 and he did not disappoint. He played great music and everyone loved him. He was very helpful leading up to the wedding! Will always recommend him to anyone in need of a Dj!!!!

Steve was extremely timely in responding to our inquiries. The setup was perfect for the venue and they delivered exactly what sound choices we asked for. Highly recommend!

Just because I want our guests to relax and forget their cares does not mean I want minimal effort on the part of our professionals. - Steve was very responsive and professional up until the wedding. We chose him because he seemed to get our desired laid-back family wedding vibe and simple romance. By a guest perspective, Steve was probably eh alright, but he did not deliver the memorable experience we hired him for on our special day. Steve did not execute the specifics that were discussed in detail (in writing and over multiple calls with him) and agreed upon prior to our wedding. I provided playlists of songs to him so he knew the exact type of music we wanted at different points in the evening. I noted there were way too many songs on there to fit into our time and would love if he would only play parts of the songs and mix them into one another to get everyone hyped/dancing. NOPE- He just sat back and relaxed while my playlist played- literally there was one point while my groom and I were eating dinner that he was just chillin in the firepit chairs we had set out for guests. If I wanted that type of service I would have just plugged in my own device to some speakers! I even reminded him about my request DURING the wedding and he just smiled and nodded. He did the very minimal announcements fine for my the pre-meal prayer, 1st dances & toasts (lucky for him we had decided to skip all the other intros & extra activities). I carefully timed out a pre-ceremony playlist that he started late and did not play all of our favorite songs. Fortunately he was paying attention at the ceremony and got our recessional song on point. At the end of our wedding we had a sparkler re-entrance to the dancefloor that had specific time cues with the music. He did not work with our coordinators to correctly execute that grand finale moment, and I was VASTLY disappointed to say the least. He played guest request songs that I asked him not to do. He also played explicit songs that I asked him not to do. He was drinking from our bar. He played the song "It wasn't me" by Shaggy- you know the one about banging on the bathroom floor aka cheating- a real classy wedding tune. Because the music was so important to me for this special day- it was extremely upsetting that First Coast Sounds did not deliver on our agreed upon services and expectations. It seemed like he saw our 50 person backyard wedding as an opportunity to do the bare minimum.

Steve was fantastic and so easy to work with! He totally followed every request we had to a T, and made our reception transitions so smooth. Everyone had a blast and he was so helpful and accommodating!

You know how people say a DJ can make or break a reception or party? They aren’t wrong, but thankfully Steve with FCS nailed it!!! He delivered an amazingly fun reception that had people up and dancing. Steve was professional, patient, and proficient! I told him what I wanted and what I didn’t want and he gave me everything I wanted! He understood what I wanted to accomplish, how I wanted things to go and he executed it beautifully! He did additional up-lighting and it truly set the ambiance that I wanted to achieve. He played everything I wanted and nothing I didn’t- which was a huge thing to me! I really can’t say enough positive things about Steve but I can tell you, you will not regret hiring him! Absolutely fabulous! I am a very very very happy bride! Thank you for making my reception exactly what I wanted it to be!

DJ Danny was great! He played all our requests, which were many, and kept the party going! The dancing never stopped! Throughout the whole process, Steve responded quickly to all my questions, and made the entire experience easy.

Steve was amazing to work with! He was super friendly, can be as involved or uninvolved as you want (we didn’t want a hype man for a dj), his live guitar was incredible, all of our guests enjoyed it. He was great at customizing all of our music requests and adapting on the fly. 10/10 would recommend!

Steve is absolutely incredible! He's definitely the type of person you just connect and feel comfortable with from the moment you start the conversation with him. He did an amazing job in our wedding and worked through the rain (outdoor wedding) like a champ. Our daughters wedding was executed perfectly thanks to Steve from First Coast Sound. From start to finish we always felt confident that the day was in good hands. Steve was very informative during our planning process, was always patient with our choices of songs and when to play them and the monogram he created for the reception/dancing portion was absolutely beautiful! He seriously did everything perfectly and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better!!!! If you need a perfect DJ to have an amazing wedding I would recommend Steve 10000%. Steve was incredible from the moment we first reached out to him. We were a little late to the game in selecting vendors, as we were not sure if we would have to postpone again (we had already postponed once due to Covid) and were afraid to plan too much too soon. From our first conversation, we knew we were in good hands as Steve took a genuine interest in getting to know us as a couple and did not bat an eye at our fast-approaching wedding date. His attention to detail meant that we got to select the perfect song for every moment and nothing went overlooked. On top of the special songs that we selected, he also took to heart the kinds of music we like to listen to and played the most incredible playlist for dancing at our reception (and gladly took requests!). His setup was awesome, too, and looked great in the reception hall. We did not get to meet until the actual wedding (it was a destination wedding for us) and were blown away by his kind demeanor and utmost professionalism. Even our wedding coordinator said that he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I don't think I truly understood just how special the right music is to a wedding (I was just happy to have some music), but Steve really made our day extra special for us and I feel that all the stars aligned so that he could be a part of it.

We had the beautiful sounds of his guitar at our ceremony and cocktail followed by his awesome dj skills at our reception. He was also able to dj last minute for me (after my prior entertainment cancelled) for my henna night! Steve was able to beautifully capture my Turkish culture and include it in the music!! Thank you again for being so flexible throughout Covid changes and for an amazing job!!

Steve was so great for our wedding! He got our guests on the dance floor and was an awesome MC! I had so much on my timeline as far as activities and he kept up with everything without any problems. If we renew our vows in the future, I'd hire him again and again :D

Steve was awesome throughout this whole process. I was organized down to the minutes for what I wanted and Steve had everything printed out and ready to go. He made sure before he did anything like start speeches or cake cutting, to ask if we were ready for the next step which helped when we were running around the room talking to guests and not aware of the time. Steve must have read my mind throughout the night because he knew exactly what song to play at exactly the right time. He kept almost every one even people we never expected up dancing until the last minutes of the night which was exactly what we wanted. We also had a live musician and Steve worked so well with him and helping him set up above and beyond what he needed to. Please use First Coast Sound for your wedding if you want a stress-free night full of fun and dancing for hours!!!

Steve was great! He worked with us to help us build our own package that fit our exact needs. He communicated quickly and throughly. We had a couple special requests for our intro song and a dance to take place instead of a father daughter dance and they were both executed perfectly! I would’ve liked to have heard a little different of options for some of the music. I submitted a playlist to him which I only heard a couple of songs from. I was a little disappointed by that, but the songs he did play were GREAT and literally everyone danced till the very end. It was amazing!

Steve from first coast sound is fantastic. From communicating in the beginning, everything was extremely simple and straight forward. I am terrible at communicating and sent many items last second and they pulled through and accommodated every need we had needed for the big day. I simply gave him some songs I wanted through a Spotify playlist and I heard them sprinkled in all night and the reception party was an absolute blast. Great company and a great price. 5/5 stars

Wow! Our wedding reception was a blast and our guests had a great time because the music was perfect! Steve was not only super professional, but when it comes to music he really knows what people like. As soon as we cut the cake the dance floor was packed and stayed that way for the rest of the night. So many of our friends commented on how great the DJ was throughout the night. He also made the planning very simple and the planning worksheets made it easy for us to customize our playlist. I highly recommend First Coast Sound for everyone having a wedding!

I loved having Steve on our wedding day. He played the guitar during the ceremony and it was amazing! Also did a great job during cocktail hour and he was our DJ. He kept the partying going regardless of my persistent guests requesting songs! Anyone would be lucky to hire him for their special day!

I chose Steve for our DJ after reading great reviews. Before I booked him I asked if he was ok with me putting together my own cocktail hour and dinner playlist because some DJs seemed to not like that. I had a very specific vision for my wedding and hand picked all the songs for those parts of it (they were all sentimental to my husband and I, and our families) but let him play whatever dance music he wanted with a few requests. About halfway through our cocktail hour I realized I hadn't heard any of the songs from my playlist playing but gave it a bit longer to see if maybe he would play them. Towards the end of dinner I went up and asked him if he was playing the songs and he said no because "the internet connection wasn't good" but miraculously the internet started working after I said something to him and he started playing some of them. Mind you, before the wedding I filled out the forms he sent to me that asked for specific songs etc. I even attached screenshots of my playlists. The dance music was pretty good but he maybe played 1 or 2 songs that I had requested (there was a space on the forms that asked for requested dance songs). There was also a spot on the form that asked for cultural dances we might want incorporated into the wedding. My husband is Italian and his family wanted to do the Tarantella. When he wouldn't play it, one of our groomsmen went up and asked him to, to which he responded "That's not really a dance song"...so then why was there a space on the form for cultural dances if he was unwilling to play them? All of our other vendors were amazing and our wedding was perfect except the music. I was so extremely disappointed with that part of it because I had put so much time into compiling it all and picking every song with my fiancé...it took months to do. I feel like he should have been more prepared and I also asked him to fade our first dance song out at around 2.5 minutes because it was a long song that lasted over 4. He didn't do that either. Overall, not a great experience.

Steve was extremely professional and did an amazing job playing guitar for the ceremony, cocktail hour and DJ for the reception. He had three locations to set up and there were no issues with music. The dance floor was packed from first dance to last. We highly recommend First Coast Sound.

First Coast Sound is a great DJ company! Steve the owner and main DJ is really talented at what he does and is super professional to work with. He helped us every step of the way to plan our playlist and introductions to make sure we had our dream reception. Everyone had a great time and I highly recommend booking them for your wedding!

Steve was awesome! To start, his communication prior to the wedding is something I was amazed by. He replies to emails faster than anyone I know. Upon arrival, he was so nice and the music was on point. My family was crazy and he was so nice to all of us. Whether is was my dad grabbing the mic and having his own private mic or me totally blowing the schedule I gave him, he went with it with a smile! Seriously, if you're looking for a wedding DJ, hire this guy!

First Coast Sound was a really great choice for our wedding! We were looking for a really cool DJ that fit with our style and we both knew Steve was the one after meeting him. Even though we didn’t know him it felt like we had one of our good friends DJing the wedding. His choice of songs were exactly what kind of songs we love and he was very professional as an MC as well. I could tell how much fun everyone was having and it seemed like he had the dance floor full all night long. Excellent job!

The songs he played during the reception was a mixture of wedding and top 40 classics and songs that everyone loves but only someone with his expertise would think to play. I’ve heard a lot of DJs and I always can tell the good ones. Steve is definitely one of the best! He is also very professional and friendly to work with. Steve was the perfect DJ for our wedding! When we we’re looking for a DJ for our wedding we talked to several DJs and didn’t feel like any of them were a good fit for our style. When I called First Coast Sound and spoke with Steve he really made me feel like he had a totally different approach than the others. I’ve been to many weddings where the DJ was a little too corny and sometimes cringe worthy even. The reception was amazing and he had everyone dancing by just playing great songs non stop without any of the awkwardness I’ve experienced at other weddings. First, let me just talk about how amazing Steve and his wife at First Coast Sound are. Within minutes, Steve responded to my request with a phone call and tons of information about himself and his company. He even sent over a song list that ranged from traditional songs for different parts of the ceremony/reception all the way to eclectic which I really appreciated since I am pretty clueless about music sometimes. Steve was great throughout the process leading up to the wedding, answering any question I had and even meeting with me once before since I was afraid I wouldn’t actually get to thank him in person (out of town/destination bride). Lastly, my entire wedding basically went completely wrong and had to be changed so last minute and Steve and his wife were absolute champs, being so helpful with my day-of coordinator and keeping everything going smoothly! Steve picked great music, my guests were entertained and everyone said his set up was really amazing. I 100% recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a great DJ!

Steve with First Coast Sound was a really wonderful choice to DJ our wedding reception. While discussing pricing and details, he mentioned he also offers live guitar performances, which ended up making our wedding ceremony SO special! Steve was incredibly laid-back, but professional and timely, in all our communications, which helped my wife and I feel at ease with the music selection process. Steve even offered to learn some new songs on the guitar for the ceremony. Steve's pricing is very competitive and he has all the equipment you need for any size ceremony or reception. Our reception went by like a complete blur (as I'm sure everyone has experienced), but all our guests said the music and atmosphere on the dance floor was awesome and everyone seemed to be having a fantastic time the entire night. We love First Coast Sound! They kept the music going all night and played the perfect songs for every moment. Planning the music for the ceremony and reception was so easy with them because they thought about everything and made a lot of good suggestions that I hadn't thought of. The ceremony was beautiful and even though it was very windy everyone could hear everything perfectly . The party was fantastic.
