About this vendor
Hello! We are Shelby and Josh, we own and operate First Dance Films between Austin, Texas and Denver, Colorado.
We’re known for our stunning cinematography, and our thoughtful and creative editing—capturing the unique spirit of every wedding and couple we film. What drives our work is showcasing true love stories and providing one-of-a-kind wedding films that are endlessly rewatchable. Our couples go back to their wedding films years down the road. We’re not pushy, and we don’t like overly posed. Our goal is to fit seamlessly into your day.
All of our films are unique, and that is intentional. Our films are crafted for each individual couple. We film and edit each frame of our wedding videos ourselves so that you can be confident in knowing who you are hiring. Because we don’t hire out, we have limited availability, so please reach out with your wedding date as soon as you can.

y with our choice and will cherish our video forever! 10/10 worth every penny!
We are so thankful we had the opportunity to work with Shelby and Josh. They were so friendly and accommodating throughout the process and on the wedding day. The wedding video the...
y made was a dream come true - every time we watch it, we feel like we are reliving the day all over again. We couldn't imagine our wedding day without them and we couldn't recommend them more!
Finding the perfect videographer for my wedding was one of the most important aspects of planning for me. Especially because I’ve filmed a few weddings myself, I know how much hard...
work goes into it. I searched through what seemed like every wedding video company in the Colorado area and beyond, comparing prices and quality. I narrowed them all down based on the quality of the resolution, lighting, color, audio, length, and style. I also needed two cameras and a day-after shoot up in a precarious mountain location. Shelby and Josh at First Dance Films were able to deliver all of these things at a really competitive price, and I was so happy with their professionalism, willingness, and coverage. I never had to worry about where they were or if they were getting the shots. They captured everything beautifully, were very enthusiastic about the theme of my wedding, and were very creative. They really went the extra mile for me, and I’m so happy that I can look back at the most magical day of my life over and over again!
If you are looking to forever relive the best day of your life in a little time capsule of love... Look no further. We met Shelby and Josh right before our wedding and were so happ...
y they were a part of our big day. They captured so many little moments that made the day special. I cannot recommend them enough! We have a video we will cherish forever- THANK YOU SO MUCH!
It’s hard to say anything about First Dance Films that hasn’t already been said in previous reviews, but I’ll try! Shelby and Josh are amazing videographers and all around awesome ...
human beings. My husband was actually pretty indifferent to having a wedding video initially, and after seeing the teaser he felt completely different and SO happy we got one (and even more so after seeing our final film!) They were professional but fun, easy to work with, collaborated with other vendors, and put together a better video than I could have imagined. I spent an hour after receiving our final film watching it on repeat- it was THAT good! They captured so many touching and funny moments from our wedding that was so fun to watch back. I really couldn’t have asked for anything more! If you want to work with 2 rad people who will make such a great wedding video that you will watch so many times that you have to charge your phone multiple times a day, these guys are it! We can’t wait to watch our film every year on our anniversary, and probably a million other times if I’m being honest.
First Dance Films is so incredible! Their work speaks incredibly for itself and their passion for their work is evident in their videos and professionalism with you. First Dance ...
Films captures what's most important to you in your wedding beautifully. From beginning to end, they were friendly, kind, supportive, flexible and worked so great with our photographer leading up to and the day of our wedding. When we received the final product we were in awe and in tears with the quality of their work. So much happens the day of the wedding that goes in a blur and getting to watch our video put me right back into the best parts of the most incredible day of our lives. I would highly recommend First Dance Films!
I honestly cannot say enough about Shelby & Josh! We absolutely LOVED our wedding films. The highlight reel was just perfect, the music they choose was emotional but subtle, and th...
ey completely captured the vibe of our wedding and community! I tear up every time I watch them (which has been dozens of times at this point). Our reception was under the stars and a little dark for filming, so S&J improvised, found external disco lights to use over everyone on the dance floor and made it look awesome. The films perfect mixture of artistic and emotional- exactly what we wanted. We got the full ceremony add on and it was hands down the best decision we made of all the wedding related purchases. Definitely worth the money to be able to relive that -- forever!
First Dance Films is a god send. I cannot stress enough how much you NEED them at your wedding, no question! Shelby and Josh are so incredibly talented. The films the created for u...
s captured every single moment of our wedding. The teaser itself was so beautiful and honestly we would have been happy with just that! Shelby and Josh went above and beyond for us before and after the wedding, making sure they captured what was important to US.... like our dog <3 and families. Shelby and Josh are sooo easy and fun to work with. Shelby is seriously an angel... helped carry my dress through the fields, fixing my hair, ect. We were totally please with our photographs, so having such an amazing video was such a relief. We are so thankful for these two and their talents! <3 so much love!!!
We had the amazing privilege of having Shelby and Josh capture our special day. Not only were they easy to work with up to and including the day of, but the final product was more ...
than we could have asked for. It is evident that they put their heart and soul into their work and that they really cared about making the video special for us. For our wedding, they worked alongside Murphy E Photography and the combination of them was so special. They were the perfect pair! When looking for a videographer (and photographer) you want someone that wants to be there and cares about what they do. First Dance Films does just that and more. If we were to do it all over again, we would work with Shelby and Josh a million times over.
Shelby and Josh with First Dance Films will make your job SO MUCH more fun and worth while. They are incredibly vendors to work with and alongside and are true team players for the...
