At First Dance Ready, you get to learn how to dance from the comfort of your own home! We offer a fun, lighthearted, connection-based approach to your wedding reception dances. You'll learn movements, how to structure the dance, and then end in a dip! Hands-on guidance and virtual private lessons are always available - we are here to make the process as easy and comfortable for you as possible. Owner
Elizabeth (she/her) is a Pacific Northwest–based dancer and co-founder of First Dance Ready, where she helps couples feel confident, connected, and excited for their first dance. After growing up in dance, she discovered partner dancing as an adult and quickly fell in love with its ability to bring people together. Alongside her husband, James, she co-owns a dance studio in Bend, Oregon, where they’ve helped countless couples create meaningful, memorable moments on the dance floor. When she’s not teaching, Elizabeth can usually be found exploring the outdoors with her three dogs or out on a hike.
James Wyke
Owner
James (he/him) is a Bend, Oregon–based dance instructor and co-founder of First Dance Ready. Known for his clear, technique-focused approach, he helps couples build a strong foundation so they can feel confident and successful on the dance floor. Alongside his wife, Elizabeth, he co-owns a dance studio in Bend, where they’ve guided countless couples through their first dance experience with ease and clarity. When he’s not teaching, James enjoys spending time with their daughter, getting outside with their dogs, and making the most of life in the Pacific Northwest.
