First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery

Booking First Flight for our March 2024 wedding was the absolute best decision we made. We were truly impressed by the venue's attention to detail and service on every level. Planning a destination wedding can be an unnerving experience, but Justin and the team at First Flight really made it as easy as possible. The day of they really helped execute our vision perfectly. Specifically on the food, as a couple where delicious and amazing food is an important part of our lives and our friends' lives, it was important that our food be memorable. We selected the Conch Republic Buffet and it hit on every level. All our guests absolutely raved about the quality of the food from the appetizers all the way through to the entrees (lobster, tenderloin and chicken all received glowing reviews), and to the key lime pie. All the food was perfect! 10/10 would recommend choosing First Flight to help execute your wedding or private party. They hit every note and left our wedding a memorable event for us, and all of our guests.

I don’t know if we can rave enough about this venue and this event staff. We had never been to the actual venue to see the grounds, but Justin and his staff made sure that we were comfortable and excited about every step of the journey leading up to the wedding. The staff was incredibly professional and accommodating, and I genuinely felt their excitement for us on our day. It really does come down to little things sometimes and they made sure that every single thing went off without a hitch. We found out later that there were a couple of things that had gone awry that Justin and his staff just took care of so we didn’t have to worry. One of the most memorable parts of the day for myself was a couple of minutes before I was about to walk down the aisle, and my hair was falling out of the up-do that has been done, and I was an absolute bundle of nerves starting to panic. Justin comes over with a glass of champagne and a bobby pin, hands me the glass of champagne and fixes my hair for me. Honestly, from that moment on, I knew the rest of the night was going to go off without a hitch and it did. Our wedding was the most fun night of our lives that we’ve had so far and I do not believe that it would be like that without the amazing staff and the stunning venue that we got to choose. If only I could remember what the name of the champagne was so I could order it for our anniversary.

I've worked in the wedding and event industry for nearly 20 years so I was looking for a person, not a place to hold my wedding at. To have a great event the space really doesn't matter, it's who is in charge and making sure that it all happens that makes all the difference. Jackie is that person. One of the best in the industry and absolute professional and on top of her game. It just so happens that this venue is amazing! Beautiful captures the vibe of Key West and old Florida. We didn't even waste money on decor as the place is perfect the way it is. And the food is die for no awful plated rubber chicken breast here. The best food I've ever had at a wedding. Worth every penny! Have your wedding here, you will not regret it!

I am obsessed with this location! First, it is just a little off the main drag to make the venue feel private but very easy access to after party locations. The food is AMAZING. We did the Southern Most Buffet package. I want to eat the beef tenderloin every single day. Our guests loved doing a surf and turf meal. Jackie and her team really made our entire vision come true. They made the meal accommodations necessary, especially for my vegan guest, and someone was always by our table refilling drinks and clearing plates. I could not have asked for a better team! I hardly added any flowers and going back I would do even less because the space is beautiful on its own.
