First Fruits Catering

We're from Florida and planned our destination wedding in Maryville, TN. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little worried about serving food at our wedding that we weren't able to try first cause we were so far away. But after reading others reviews and speaking to Chef Tony on the phone, I knew we were in good hands. Also, after he mentioned that he offers a cheesecake wedding cake, we were sold! The food was great. Everyone seemed to enjoy what we selected. I know my husband & I personally LOVED the Pecan Chicken Gallentine. It was so good! The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing, too! His staff was very nice and professional. Overall, Chef Tony didn't disappoint and we were very satisfied with hiring First Fruits as our wedding caterer.

Words cannot describe how amazing Chef Tony and his staff are. My husband and I were so lucky that he was available to cater our wedding and prepare our wedding cake (and grooms cake)! When I started planning my wedding in the Great Smokey Mountain national park, I was getting worried about the options I was seeing for catering services - then I found Chef Tony. He and his staff were friendly, professional and I loved not having to worry about a thing. I loved the various options he had for our reception and loved that there was an option that included glassware, china, napkins, etc. He makes amazing food, has a gorgeous presentation and all of our guests loved it. The cakes (we chose a vanilla bean along with a chocolate grooms cake) were hands down the best I have tasted. I cannot wait to order cakes from Tony in the future for future special occasions. First off, I have to begin by saying that Chef Tony is such a kind person! I am very thankful to have met him and to have had him share in our wedding day. We were floored by Chef Tony's food at one of the open house events we attended at The Reserve at Bluebird Hill. We knew immediately we had to serve this to our wedding guests! Every one of our guests that we have spoken to or that has congratulated us has complimented on how much they loved the food! Not to mention we had the most beautiful, moist, decadent wedding cake I have ever tasted! My husband was over-the-moon with his grooms cake, both flavor and decoration. Chef Tony, thank you so much for making our day perfect!

Chef Tony and First Fruits Catering did a wonderful job at our wedding! From the first taste (at a bridal show), I was hooked on the chicken rotini alfredo, and my guests loved it as well. Chef Tony is so nice and easy to work with, he made it effortless and was happy to answer all my questions and even move venues with me. The food was great and the cake was phenomenal. All my guests raved about how fresh and moist the strawberry cake was. I highly recommend First Fruits!

First Fruits Bakery and Catering did a spectacular job on our wedding food! From the very first contact, to our meeting, to details and discussion, all the way through our wedding, Tony McClanahan and his team were so wonderful to work with and very professional! They showed up early on the day of and were set up with a wonderful display including silver and crystal. It looked so wonderful! It even tasted amazing! All through our wedding we had several people coming up to my husband and I complimenting the food, the service, and how nice everything looked. Tony and his team even went around and made sure everything was cleaned up which was greatly appreciated. He also made our wedding cake (strawberry) and grooms cake (chocolate)! These were also followed by several ooohhs, aaahhs, and yummys! This was honestly the best cake my husband and I have ever had! The design was spot on and beautiful and he even put special secret detail on the grooms cake! When the day was all said and done my husband and I were surprised to find that Tony and his crew had even made us to-go plates for after the party! It was so wonderful to go home and actually be able to sit down and enjoy the food! We could not have asked for a better caterer! We were so pleased with everything and can't thank First Fruits enough!

Chef Tony catered our wedding in October at Honeysuckle Hills, and the food was delicious! I mean corn casserole with baby corn inside!?!? To die for! For our reception, we chose Herb Crusted Pork Loin, Pecan Chicken Gallentine, Whipped Potato Casserole, Green Beans Amandine, and Parmesan Corn Casserole, and everything was awesome! He also made our Fall wedding cake which was beautiful and very yummy! Everyone from our wedding is still raving about the food! My 87 year old grandmother even said it was the best wedding and best food she's had in her life. That says a lot. Thank you so much Chef Tony! Everything was perfect!

Choosing Chef Tony was a GREAT decision! The food was wonderful & beautifully presented. Extra effort was given to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. The staff was fabulous!! Chef Tony and his crew, were not only Top Notch Professional, but the food was over the top! We selected Tony originally on price, but then after we selected him, we were told over and over, how good the food would be, and it was awesome! Without breaking the bank, you will get something that your guests will be talking about for a long time. I wish I could post pictures on what the set up looked like. It was nothing short of amazing! Thanks again Tony!

Chef Tony and his crew did an EXCELLENT job catering our son's wedding! It was a sit down dinner and the food was great! The service was also great. It was a wonderful evening. Chef Tony was very helpful from beginning to end. He provided us with excellent service and products. He also did the wedding cake and grooms cake. Both were exactly what we ordered. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needed a caterer for their wedding or any other function.

Chef Tony's food is incredible! We got so many compliments on how good the food was at my wedding. It was almost all gone by the end of the night, and we thought we had ordered too much food! Chef Tony is a character and a great caterer to work with!!

Tony and his staff were given high reviews and they definitely lived up to the hype! The food was wonderful and definitely fit into our budget.

Tony was so easy to work with. We went to several tastings and got to pick out exactly what we wanted. We met with Tony 2 weeks before and everyone raved about the food (and cake). His staff is wonderful also.

Everything up until the wedding day went smoothly. The head chef gave us some great food options and a fair price. When it came time to deliver on our wedding day, however, it was a completely different story. They set up food 45 minutes before they were supposed to, then they started boxing it up only 1.5 hours in to our reception. They actually took food away as guests were trying to eat more! Their explanation was the food could not be out any longer, and that it was normal practice to remove the food 2 to 2.5 hours in to the reception. Obviously, they could not do the math because it was barely 1.5 hours of actual reception time. When we asked them to put back out the food that was not going bad (fruits, bread, etc.) they could not produce all the food they had taken away. We don't know what happened to it. In fact, we don't think they even prepared enough in the first place. After some more persuasion from my husband and his father, they finally gave us a few more boxes of food to take home. We didn't want more food to take home, we wanted to be able to feed our guests! Unfortunately, that did not happen. Everyone was impressed with the food itself, we were just all very upset that we could not enjoy the food! Overall, it was very disappointing, and we wish we had gone with a different caterer.

I was very happy with the cakes. I gave Chef Tony some pictures of cakes I liked and he made one that was beautiful. First Fruits is very easy to work with and responses the emails and phone call quickly. The food was awesome! The only thing we were unhappy with was the promise of our plates waiting on us with all of the food option we orders. We hoped to al least taste everything including the butler passed items, those didnt make it on the plate.

Chef Tony of First Fruits Catering came highly recommended by another group who used them, and I'm glad we used them too! The food was great, the price is right, and their professional servers were on top of things at our wedding. Though we didn't use them for our cake, we've heard great things about them as well. I would highly recommend!
