Angela and her team were amazing... from getting our plates ready at the reception to making sure everything was packed up and ready to go at the end of the night. Usually she uses gold or silver plateware and when I asked for rose gold, she said it was no problem. The food was wonderful and everyone raved about the chicken and waffle appetizers! Very affordable as well, which as a budget savvy bride was a major plus for me!

As if weddings aren't hard enough right now, after getting our guest list down considerably, Angela increased her price, saying she won't go below a 50 person event. Furthermore, she tacked on a random "COVID fee" that we were stuck paying for. At the wedding, the food was mostly good with the exception of the chicken, which was cold. We will also say that Angela and her staff were very professional, which we greatly appreciated and they did take steps to keep everyone safe (Gloves, masks).

Our wedding was March 14th, and I am SOO glad we went with Angela and First Impressions!! They're seriously amazing! From start to finish Angela made us feel so welcomed and made sure we were taken care of. Angela was the first caterer we even set a tasting up with and once we tried her food we were set! My husband is obsessed with food and had weird request (like he wanted a plate of raspberries saved for him from the fruit bar) and not only did Angela and her team have that waiting for him, they also sent us home with a whole container of raspberries, and that is just one of the many gestures Angela made to make us feel so cared for on our big day. Our wedding day was so perfect I couldn't have asked for more, our guests loved the food and haven't stopped talking about it since!! For anyone getting married soon I recommend Angela and her team 1000%!!! You will love her and the food!!

I'm so glad we chose First Impressions and Angela for our wedding. I decided early on that I wanted a pasta bar for our wedding and they made it happen. We also had shrimp and grits. Our appetizers were bruschetta and fried green tomatoes. All the food was delicious. The presentation and set up of the food was great, the service was good. By the time food was being served I (the bride) was getting hangry (after hours of smiling for photos in the cold), and they made sure to serve us first and promptly. They did great little to go boxes and a bag for us. You won't regret picking them for your wedding or event.

This is not the first time I have hired Angela at First Impressions....and each time she is amazing! Her follow up is amazing....she worked to help us with a menu that was in our budget and the food and presentation was great! I would recommend her to any one looking for a great caterer.

We wanted to support local women businesses. We hit the jackpot with Angela. From our initial contact until the very end of the wedding night Angela and her team never disappointed us. They made sure the Bride and Groom had plates on their table and gave them a thermal wheeled tote to take home leftovers for their hotel stay. Again making sure they ate. Truly professional caterers. Food was great and plentiful. Can’t find enough words to compliment them. We’re so very happy we chose Angela!

We LOVED working with Angela!! She was so sweet and fantastic to work with. She made a few last minute changes to our menu for us and she definitely didn’t have to! She really “catered” to our every need! We decided to go with her the moment she said she knew our venue was on a well system so she always brings her own water with her. She paid incredible attention to detail and I felt that my guests got really great quality food and all of our guests RAVED over the burgers and quesadillas !!! She really felt more like a friend or family member because she knew us so well. Thank you for accommodating us and for getting to know us all the way starting out a year ago when we first started planning our wedding. You are amazing!! :)

Angela and her team catered our son’s rehearsal dinner at the Charleston Yacht Club. She was awesome in the planning phases & graciously hosted us for a delicious tasting several months before the event! Because of her experience, she thought of every detail that we being new to all of this might have missed. She and her team arrived the day of our event right on time and with smiles on their faces!! The food was all so very deliciously and displayed beautifully. She and her team stayed after our guests departed and did not leave until clean up was complete! Angela made our event so very special and I highly recommend her!

Angela and her team were so awesome! She was an absolute doll and so easy to work with! The food was amazing, guest also kept saying how wonderful it was. She also made sure we were fed and gave us leftovers in a great bag to take with us, we really appreciate her and all the hard work her team put into make our day so special! Do not hesitate, First Impressions will not disappoint ! Would 100 percent recommend or use for another event.

Our wedding was on December 9th; it’s almost two months later and my guests are STILL talking about the fried green tomatoes at our wedding! Angela and her team with First Impressions Catering provided some seriously tasty food for our wedding, and I’m so incredibly impressed with their service. We had TONS and TONS of food for our guests, and First Impressions provided everything at such a reasonable cost. We were amazed at the value for what we received. Angela even had surgery a couple months prior to our wedding, and I still had absolutely no trouble getting in touch with her to answer any minor question I had. Being that she’s very familiar with our venue, she even provided plenty of advice about different tidbits outside the realm of catering (i.e. where to put the gift table, photo booth, etc.) The team even packed an insulated picnic bag (on wheels!) full of food AND donuts from our dessert table so that we’d have something for the end of the night. Being that we had an after party and were completely ravenous by the time we got to our hotel room that night, my husband and I were so grateful for this. For any bride looking for a Charleston catering gem, I encourage you to book First Impressions for your wedding!

First Impressions catering is is so amazing! Mrs. Angela, the owner, is so willing to work with you and give you and your groom the best treatment on your special day! After we got engaged my husband and I didn't know where to start, however, we started with the caterer because we knew it was going to be the most expensive thing. We went through several caterers. Some of which were over priced, rude and inexperienced. We heard about Angela from a friend and after meeting her, we immediately knew she was the one. Her positive and loving spirit is what stuck out the most. We enjoyed working with First Impression's Catering. Angela and her team went over and beyond to make our wedding day one to remember. Angela and her team were also so easy to work with and most importantly good at what they do. Our guest still rave about how good her food was, especially her fried green tomatoes. I even had an aunt plan a trip from Georgia just to get her hands on Angela's fried green tomatoes. If I could do my wedding day all over again, I would still choose First Impressions catering. Angela is the epitome of what it means to be a professional business woman and great caterer.

With free WiFi on the plane and while I’m still on cloud nine from last night, I feel like there’s not a better time to write this. We had Angela and her team cater our wedding at the Charleston Yacht Club last night and I don’t have enough good things to say about them! The food was incredible!! Every bit of it!! The whole team was professional, extremely kind and made sure not only my husband and I were taken care of, but all of our guests as well! I was an out of town bride so most of our interaction was through phone calls, but Angela made the entire planning process so easy! I am so grateful for every part of last night and First Impressions Catering definitely had a huge hand in that! I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for catering!! Thank you for helping make our day perfect!!

First Impressions catered my son’s rehearsal dinner in Charleston in August. We couldn’t be happier with the professional service they provided. Angela was very receptive to our wishes, offered great suggestions, and allowed us to taste test our food choices months before. She was responsive to my numerous email messages and questions and the price for everything was very reasonable. We were very impressed with the friendly ladies who worked so hard to make and serve a delicious dinner and appetizers for our event. We highly recommend First Impressions Catering.

what can I say, they were awesome! I loved working with Angela, the food was so yummy! My guests were raving over the different options! She was quick to respond, easy to work with on options and very professional. She even had food waiting for us so we had a chance to try the food! Angela was extremely easy to work with and always professional. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We continue to get compliments on the taste of the food even months after the wedding! Her staff was accommodating the entire evening and very friendly!

Angela with First Impressions is amazing! I am so glad we were able to book her for our wedding. It started with a tasting at her home (which is gorgeous) and we were hooked. Anytime I emailed her she was always quick to respond. I have to say her and her team went above and beyond. We ended up running out of the grooms favorite beer before the reception even started. We gave her some money and she had one of her team members run to the grocery store for us to pick up 5 more cases. She checked on us all night and made us an awesome cooler full of food to go. Which came in very handy the next day as we were rushing to get ready to leave for our honey moon. We have gotten so many compliments on the food and she will listen to any of your ideas and is very reasonable. I will recommend her to any and everyone looking for a caterer! I feel lucky to have had her be a part of our big day!

Angela was great to work with and her food is delicious. She catered my wedding for 200 people in Charleston and everyone loved the shrimp & grits, mac'n'cheese, chicken skewers, fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese & candied bacon!!! Highly recommend her!

First impressions catering is incredible. Everyone at the wedding was raving about how excellent the food was. Angela served all the little kids at the wedding, so the parents could sit and enjoy. Angela and First Impressions were the perfect choice for us. The food was delicious at the tasting, and we mixed and matched some food options to come up with a menu that was both tasty and within budget. They hit it out of the park with delivering delicious food to our guests, and were able to serve some gluten free options as well. The best part was Angela had food ready for us to eat, on time with the coordinators schedule. There was some food we didn't try at the wedding, and to our surprise we had it packed in a bag for our late night snack!! Everything was fabulous. Thank you!

Yum!!! We are so glad we chose Angela to cater our wedding! The food was delicious and we got so many compliments on the meal. The shrimp and grits & fried green tomatoes were especially big hits. Angela was very accommodating when we wanted to try more items a couple months before the wedding and invited us to come over to try some more dishes. I also appreciated her willingness to be flexible and work with our venue-we had an outdoor wedding at the Pelican Watch Shelter so she had multiple back up plans in case it was windy, raining, etc. On the day of the wedding, Angela and her team worked perfectly and the buffet line moved quickly. Angela also made sure we had plates first so we didn't forget to eat. She also sent us home with food, which we happily gobbled up at midnight when we realized we were starving after such an eventful day! If you're looking for a reasonably priced caterer that still provides professional service and delicious food, look no further than Angela at First Impressions!!

Angella was AMAZING! So much attention to detail and pricing was MORE than reasonable for food so delicious. The entire staff from First Impressions was kind and attentive and it made us feel so special when Angella handed us a hand packed picnic basket cooler of leftovers and cake to snack on after the wedding. So thoughtful! They also went above and beyond to set up a beautiful table scape with their napkins and the exact color of silverware we wanted. We couldn't be more happy with our choice of caterer and the service.

Absolutely delicious food! They are very reasonably priced. Everyone loved the food, everything was on time, and the staff did an excellent job at serving and clean up to keep our flow going! I would absolutely recommend this caterer & would absolutely use them again!!

Guests are still talking about how great the food was at our wedding two weeks ago. Angela and her team are absolutely the best. Not only is the food delicious (my husband is kind of a barbecue connoisseur and he says hers is some of the best ever), but the prices are the best we found in Charleston. Angela is up front and honest about everything. Other caterers we met with would quote one price on their website and then start piling on a bunch of fees when we actually sat down with them. With Angela everything is included and you know exactly what you're getting. She took such good care of us on our wedding day. Even though everything was so busy, she was coming over to our table to make sure we had food and that my stepsons got their plates. When we left for the night, we had a big insulated bag packed with food for us, enough for two meals really. And Angela promised our guests would never run out of food, and they didn't. Everyone had enough and everyone loved it! You will not find a better caterer than First Impressions.

All I have to say is Angela and the team at First Impressions is amazing! Communicating from out of town can be difficult, but Angela was always quick to respond to my questions via email and helped us plan a very successful menu! She provided in house tastings of all the main dishes (which got us very excited) and had a very detailed contract (which we appreciate). Day of the service team was professional and thorough, all of the fruit was amazingly fresh and our guests loved the food. She even packed leftovers for us to take and served our cake. Also, the napkin colors were on point! I could go on and on, but choose First Impressions, great quality, great value, very professional and fun!

I was very impressed with First Impressions and would definitely recommend! Our venue decided to renovate and take out the ovens in the kitchen after we had booked and so I figured the catering would no longer taste as good since I assumed the food would have to be cooked hours prior to the event. I have no idea how she did it but the food was amazing! Even with all the excitement Angela made sure my groom and I got to eat and it was so worth it! Great value too!

Angela and her team did such a great job for our wedding and farewell brunch! Her crew was so amazing in their set up, presentation and just personable to sit and talk with! They made an amazing southern meal for our wedding and then got up the next day and made breakfast food for our farewell brunch! Everything tasted so great! She was also very sensitive about one of my family members who had a severe allergy. She received her own plate. It is little things that take the stress off the bride's plate while planning and wanting to make sure everyone will be able to enjoy their food!

If you want the most tastiest food and getting it all for an amazing price (especially with the skyrocket prices of Charleston) than choose Angela and First Impressions Catering. She was an absolute delight to work with and her food is out of this world. I loved how she was able to customize everything and took on any task that was given to her and her staff. One of the highlights is passed appetizers during cocktail hour and the carving station! Thank you so much Angela..I wish I had another event to plan just so I can use you again!!

BEST CATERING IN CHARLESTON!!!!!! Angela exceeded all hopes and expectations. She is one of the best, if not THE best decision I made at my wedding. I have been thinking over the last few days about what to write in this review because it's hard to explain just how wonderful my experience with first impressions was. I don't want to sound like one of those over enthusiastic brides that loved everything about her wedding just because it was her wedding... Angela truly was the best and days after my wedding people were still talking about how great the food was. She was so easy to work with, quick to respond, kind, reasonable and the food tasted amazing. The groom and I didn't have time to eat during the reception and by the time we were leaving, we were starving. Not to worry though, she had packed us up food to go! I can't imagine my experience with Angela going any better. She was perfect and I recommend her to anyone needing catering in the Charleston area. If I was doing it all over again, I would call her in a heartbeat.

First Impressions Catering in fact made the most professional (and tasty) first impression on my husband and I. Trusting Angela to handle our food the wedding was one of the easiest decisions we actually made. She was very responsive and receptive to us if we had questions about what we wanted or certain ideas we had. Overall we both agree that we could not have made a better decision about who we chose to cater our special day.

As the mother of the bride, I was SO VERY impressed with Angela Mussat and First Impressions Catering. They made my daughter's day so special with the delicious food and professionalism. They are a fine tuned machine and work together in sync. I highly recommend First Impressions Catering for a wonderful experience whether it be a wedding, anniversary party or any other celebration that needs catering.

Wonderful! Angela and her crew were absolutely amazing! We used her for our wedding October 2016. We had chicken cordon bleu bites and meatballs as hors d'oeuvres. Fruit, veggies, crackers and dips for snacks. Main course included stations of ham, green beans, mac and cheese bar and shrimp and grits. From the food to the presentation, everything was great! We could not have glass/fine china at the venue so she accommodated and allowed us to pick out our dinner plates and utensils from a website, along with linen napkin color. Best part, she packed a nice tote with food to go at the end of our night :) Highly recommend!!!

Angela responded promptly to all of my emails and made sure to check in with me to see if there was anything else we needed in the days leading up to the wedding. First Impressions is just plain fabulous! To describe them in three ways I would say delicious food, friendly owner and staff and an absolute pleasure to work with. My husband and I had a small budget and were worried that we wouldn’t be able to find anyone that was top notch but then I found First Impressions and my worries were quickly put to ease. They have great reviews out there because they are all stars on all levels. We were planning our wedding from out of state so we weren’t able to try the food or meet with Angela before we made a decision so those reviews were key. When we made it to Charleston to meet with Angela face to face and try the food, we were just plain delighted and already felt like we were seeing a friend (complete with hugs upon greeting!) I loved the food so much at our tasting that I had dreams about the mac and cheese that night. Not to mention how accommodating they are to work with. I had a concept in mind and Angela was more than happy to work with me to make it happen. Our wedding guests only had rave reviews to share and were very impressed at the quality and deliciousness of it all. If I ever need a caterer in the Charleston area, First Impressions is the one and only call I will make. Thank you First Impressions for being so amazing to work with!

Delicious food and Fabulous Service. I planned my Destination Wedding at Folly Beach from Pittsburgh. I was blessed to find Angela and her team. They helped make my small wedding on the beach absolutely perfect and an occasion that family and friends will never forget The bacon-wrapped scallops and mini burgers were amazing. The stations, which included Herb roasted Prime Rib and Creamy Shrimp and Grits were fabulous. Angela's attention to detail and her friendliness to our guests were over the top. She made me feel so comfortable during the planning process and then delivered on our wedding day. EVERYONE commented on how great my caterer was. Thank you, so much Angela!!! P.S. Ask Angela about the chocolate fountain!

Angela and her team at First Impressions were nothing less than amazing to work with! Honestly no review would accurately convey how much we not only adore her but love her cooking! Charleston was a destination wedding for us and when we visited months before the wedding Angela invited us to her home for what was really a full on meal not just a tasting. I was at first apprehensive about going to someone's home I had never met but after talking with her on the phone I just knew we would be friends! Not only did you feed us some FANTASTIC food but her daughter who is also as sweet as her momma entertained our 2 kids while we ate and chatted. We left her home feeling very confident in her and her cooking skills! Now the wedding day...lots of changed plans as it POURED rain and the entire venue plan changed. That was no big deal for Angela and her team. They smiled the whole way though it! The food was AMAZING! My fiancé is sooo picky about good food. He was convinced he would hate her fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese as he swears he hasn't ever had good one in his life and only "old people" eat those lol! He absolutely LOVED them as did I and all of our guests! We also loved her chicken salad on croissants and sausage stuffed mushrooms. The sweet tea and pink lemonade fountains were adorable too! For our main courses we had Crab Cakes with peach mango salsa, creamy Shrimp and Grits with lots of yummy accompaniments and Southern Fried Chicken. All were delish!!! She had our plates ready for us as well as a glass of wine when we sat down to eat. At the end she sent us off with a lovely cooler filled with containers of leftovers, cake and wine to enjoy later! All in all I can't say enough good about her and her team. I would highly recommend her for a FANTASTIC value compared to the fancy caterers and I can guarantee you her food is better than theirs too:) Plus, if you need something, you talk to her not someone who isn't even making the food! Do yourself a favor and hire this girl you won't regret it!

Angela and her staff are AMAZING. For months leading up to my wedding date, Angela went out of her way to make sure my wedding planning was going smoothly. I did not have a day of coordinator, and Angela answered many questions for me involving layout and day of timeline. Before the wedding day even occurred, I let her know that she was my favorite vendor by far - she is so easy to talk to! During our reception we had many guests RAVE about the delicious food, and compliment the friendly staff. In a lot of situations, "you get what you pay for." But First Impressions catering was so affordable, compared to many outrageous prices in the Charleston area, and I gaurantee the food and service was even better than any other over priced company. First Impressions catering is sure to impress all your guests!!

First Impressions Caterers is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Our guests raved about the food. Everything tasted so amazing (I especially loved the fried green tomatoes & shrimp and grits). But even better than the food...the service! Angela was a delight to work with and her staff was so professional. She brought appetizers to me (the bride) as soon as I was finished taking photos with my husband. She then asked me what I wanted in my shrimp and grits and prepared plates for my groom and I. She took care of us and made sure we ate and experienced her AMAZING food. At the end of the night, Angela sent us to our honeymoon suite with an adorable picnic bag of food! The best part- she is reasonably priced (one of the few in Charleston) without any hidden fees!

I can not even describe the amount of awesome feedback I have had from all of my wedding guests regarding the food and service First Impressions provided. Most said it was hands down the best food they have ever had at a wedding and a lot of guests even said it was probably the best food they have ever had. In my opinion the food was absolutely amazing and the service was flawless. They didn't miss a beat with my "day of timeline" and made sure all my guests felt comfortable and welcomed from the moment they arrived. You will not work with a better person than Angela and her crew! She paid attention to all of my requests and details, no matter how small, and made sure my day looked exactly how I envisioned it would. She is so patient and attentive and a joy to work with. I was totally confident that she had the entire event under control and it turned out absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend them.

I cannot possibly speak highly enough of Angela and her team. She is so reasonable on price, and for what you get for the money she could easily be charging double. Her team is courteous, professional, and kind just like she is. Everyone she had working our wedding was awesome! And her food! I'm sure she can accommodate any cuisine style; we went with a pretty traditional Southern menu and all of our guests from out of town, especially up North, were blown away by the delicious offerings. Fried green tomatoes topped with homemade pimento cheese? Yes please! I can't say enough good things about her food! Get the beef tenderloin, you will not regret it! She is also great at accommodating new ideas that are not necessarily listed on her website. For my wedding I really wanted a sweet and savory biscuit bar (pinterest!) for cocktail hour and although she was unfamiliar we worked together and the results were so much better than anything I could have imagined! You will not be disappointed!
