We chose First Look Events after talking with other party and wedding planning companies. First Look’s business and planning model is reasonable and makes sense compared to others so it was a no brainer. Brynn was super sweet and thorough in our initial talk. Alexandra was assigned as our planner and there by our side every step of the way - from site visits to vendor selection through every final little last minute detail. We have insanely hectic schedules and she was patient and understanding but also great at cracking the whip to keep us on schedule! By the time the party was here, we had no worries or question marks and were able to just relax and have fun. The vendors they connected us with knocked it out of the park and created a truly fabulous party. It turns out party planning is stressful! Could not be more grateful for First Look and most importantly Alexandra for helping us create such special memories with our friends and family. Brynn really got to know my husband and I and created the most meaningful and personal design for our wedding day. We had an amazing experience with First Look Events, and specifically with our wedding planner, Alexandra Turner. We hired First Look a little later than expected due to having a bad experience with the first wedding planner we hired at another company- and we are SO grateful that we found Alexandra after that! Alexandra was truly excellent. She was detail-oriented, organized, and so responsive to emails/ texts leading up to our big day. I had multiple DIY projects going to help make my vision a reality, and Alexandra was both gracious and helpful in making my vision come to life. Our wedding turned out to be absolutely magical, and we have Alexandra and the First Look Events staff to thank for that! They handled everything from the beginning of tent setup to the extra tear-down at the end of the night due to said DIY projects, and everything ran smoothly and wonderfully. I honestly think it was the perfect wedding, although I know that Alexandra and her staff were running around behind the scenes to make it so. Alexandra and her staff also went out of their way to make our guest experience wonderful- we decided to have a buffet meal for our wedding, and Alexandra and her staff coordinated meals to be served to two of our tables with elderly guests who were uncomfortable standing in line. It's this attention to detail that made Alexandra such a wonderful person to have behind the scenes at our wedding. First Look Events has planned many of my friends' weddings, and they have all been distinct, beautiful, and reflective of each individual couple. From a winter wedding at the Brown Palace to our summer garden party at Chatfield Farms, this team really knows how to design and execute a flawless event for each unique couple, which is such a gift. Our wedding had so many personal touches that Alexandra helped us coordinate, and she directed all of the other vendors professionally, promptly, and with great success. There were quite a few things that I was particular about when it came to my wedding day and Alexandra really made sure those things were to my liking and exactly as I wanted them to be. Alexandra also took over all of the specific details with vendors a few months ahead of our wedding, which really helped me relax and enjoy the experience much more than I could have without her. We highly, highly recommend Alexandra and the First Look Events staff for your event. It was the best money we spent as I could've never pulled off an event of this size without Alexandra's guidance and help. She was truly wonderful. We feel incredibly lucky to have gotten to work with Brynn for our wedding. Not only did she save the day when we had our original venue back out of our contract (while she was on vacation no less!) she went above and beyond to make sure we had an ideal new plan in place before the week was even through. She cares about her clients and showcasing their individuality through her creative design, bringing everything together into one cohesive and unique vision without feeling rote or "like any other wedding" - it really felt like Us. We even had one guest ask her "can you help manage my life?" when they saw how incredibly she handled everything for our wedding. Alexandra Turner From First Look Events expertly managed our May 18, 2024 wedding in Boulder, CO. "Managed" doesn't begin to cover all that she did to make the event a triumph. She applied her knowledge and experience to all details – contracts, negotiations, budgets, coordination among vendors, resources, etc. She handled all interactions professionally and competently. (And with good cheer and enthusiasm.) Alexandra is a talented designer, who styled the look and vibe of the event beyond our expectations. She knew of resources and possibilities that created a smooth process with many amazing, creative professionals. Thanks to her, the planning process was enjoyable with minimal stress. We got to enjoy the creative decisions and fun details without the anxiety that is so commonly associated with planning a wedding. Not only was the planning handled expertly, the wedding weekend was an amazing success thank you in large part to Alexandra and her team. Alexandra managed the entire day so that we arrived to a venue designed perfectly in line with the vision we had all created as a team during the planning. The day itself ran smoothly and on time. While we are sure plenty was going on behind the scenes, Alexandra and the First Look Team were positive and helpful at every turn. The result was a gorgeous atmosphere where we, our families, and all of our guests felt comfortable, happy, and able to enjoy a really great party. She made it easier at every decision-making point in the process. We really could not have done it without her.

I was so impressed with First Look Events. I first contacted Brynn right after I got engaged and she was wonderful over the phone. I talked to several other wedding planners and Brynn felt like the most professional, experienced, lovely to work with, and the best fit for me. Additionally, Brynn's prices were lower than some of the other vendors but her quality even over the first phone call was so much stronger. Brynn designed and helped with the early planning of my wedding. Brynn's designs were thoughtful, stunning, and perfectly me and my now husband. I really respect her creative genius as she really was able to design my dream wedding! I don't have a great design sense, so I was so impressed with how she was able to take my wants, desires, and life experiences and turn it into something beautiful. Brynn was very responsive to emails and an absolute joy to work with. Brynn helped us stay within budget and was always very honest about how we could cut costs or get a better deal. All of the vendors recommended by Brynn were fantastic to work with and I really appreciated Brynn's honesty for assistance with the selection process. Lindsay then helped with our month-of and day-of planning. Lindsay was so on-top of everything and ensured my day went wonderfully. She is incredibly detail-oriented and made sure that all of our ducks were in a row for our perfect day. Lindsay also was very responsive over email and wonderful to work with. I consider Brynn and Lindsay dear friends of mine now and I am so grateful for them. My mom also adores Brynn and Lindsay and speaks very highly of them. Our wedding went incredibly smoothly and I felt so secure leaving my full trust in Brynn and Lindsay's hands. I seriously would recommend First Look to anyone. Reasonably priced, highly professional, incredibly high quality work, and wonderful women. 10/10!

Brynn was an amazing resource while planning our wedding and she allowed us to enjoy our day! Everything went better than expected and we would recommend Brynn/First Look to anyone looking for wedding or event support.

You would be remiss to plan a wedding in Colorado and not use Brynn Swanson and her team at First Look Events. This team of genius creatives brought my husband and my winter wedding vibes to life in ways that we didn't even know was possible. First Look has incredible relationships with vendors all across Colorado and are able to tap into them to basically provide you with anything you can dream up. I feel confident that the phrase “we can’t do that” is something this incredible company of women has never said. This is the wedding planner you want to have your back on the day of your wedding. Had you asked me the night of my wedding if anything went wrong, I would have told you no, but little did I know that there were multiple hiccups that happened with the venue day of (to no fault of Brynn’s) that these gals took care of so seamlessly, my guests and I would have never known. Brynn and her team have such a calming presence and do such a good job making sure that you have everything you need on your wedding day. Be it, keeping the flow of events moving to stick to schedule, pinning my wedding dress when I found out minutes before walking down the aisle that one of the tacks had come loose and I was at risk of flashing the entire audience, or making sure that every perfect surprise that we had planned for our guests ran smoothly and that my husband and I had a front row seat for them all with a glass of champagne in hand. I have now seen Brynn and her team plan multiple of my friends' weddings and every one of them had very distinct and different feeling that perfectly captured the couple getting married. The only thing I would have done differently for my wedding is signed with First Look Events sooner and not wasted time interviewing other wedding planners. (photos are of our ceremony space that was transformed in minutes into our reception area, my husband and I seeing our ceremony space and giving Brynn the biggest hug for all of her hard work)

I hired a wedding planner because everyone told me I should. I truly didn't appreciate how important it is to have that resource on your team. Brynn, owner of First Look Events came very highly recommended from a good friend. Once hired, Brynn immediately discussed with my daughter and me our vision, likes and dislikes and budget. We had a good idea what we wanted, however Brynn elevated every aspect and provided incredible resources to execute the ceremony and reception. The wedding was in a large hotel ballroom. Brynn and her team created a winter wonderland that was elegant, personal and gave a nod to my daughter and her (now!) husband. During the planning, any issue that came up, Brynn had a creative idea or a fix. The installation, management and execution of every detail the evening of the wedding was over the top. Brynn had a detailed schedule for all vendors (i.e., the hotel, florist, photographer and band). she was in close touch with all of us the day of to ensure everyone was on schedule. During the dinner and reception she managed all of the vendors and checked in with all of us throughout the night. When the reception was over, Brynn and her team packed up everything and delivered items to the bridal suite. When my daughter walked into the suite after the after party, the suite was cleaned up and her gown was hung. I have since learned there were sizable issues in getting all of the decor items up to the ballroom. However Brynn took care of everything, we found out the following day the problem solving/battle she was having with the hotel. She is a pro beyond words. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Lindsay from First Look Events was absolutely incredible. When I was searching for my wedding planner, I wanted a "month-of" planner because my venue required it, but I had planned to do just about everything myself. About two months before the big day, Lindsay made sure we connected, and she literally changed the wedding planning experience for me. She took on the tasks that were overwhelming for me, she reassured me that we were in this together, and she helped me make decisions when I was experiencing burnout. I was not the easiest bride (who is?), but Lindsay advocated for my needs with vendors and helped me find humor in the guests who weren't invited but still attended ;) Lindsay is basically a wedding planner, a florist, a therapist, and a gatekeeper all at once. Hear me when I say that out of everything we spent money on for our entire wedding, having Lindsay as my wedding planner was the best and more important money I ever spent. I cannot recommend Lindsay and First Look Events enough, fr!

Alexandra and Brynn were absolute lifesavers! I came in without much of a vision for our wedding. I was clueless about design aspects in every direction. I told them to go for it on design choices, and they truly delivered! We could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding and every single guest was truly in awe! The day of, I did not worry about a thing because they were there every step of the way! My mom continues to rave about Alexandra every time we speak. We were incredibly lucky to have her! Cannot put into words how thankful we were to have Brynn & First Look Events as part of our wedding. We were fortunate enough to start working with Brynn over a year before our wedding and we are sooo happy we did. She knew us like family and had our likes/dislikes in mind throughout the entire planning process and planned our wedding better than we could’ve imagined. She let us schedule as many meetings/calls as we needed and answered every text we sent her within the day. She recommended a list of vendors to us for each aspect of the wedding and it was so helpful having a shorter list to choose from especially since there are so many out there these days. We also couldn’t be happier with the vendors she suggested. Brynn and are team are so creative and came up with so many thoughtful and unique ideas that we would have never thought of on our own. Everyone told us to be ready for something to go wrong day of and when I say absolutely nothing went wrong that day it is 100% because of Brynn and the First Look team. Could not recommend using First Look Events more.

I'm fairly certain Brynn is a magician. Or a wizard. Most likely both! There was no detail left untouched when it came to curating our perfect day. Brynn handled every step of the planning process with grace, professionalism, an immaculate sense of attention to detail, and more importantly she made us feel like she was our friend who had our best interest in mind every step of the way. I can be a control freak and she allowed me to guide things when I wanted, but she also took the reins when I needed her direction. She always had a plan or a unique, creative idea to bring to the table if we ever ran into a roadblock. The wedding day was absolutely perfect and she brought our entire vision to life, adding in special thoughtful surprises for us that really took the whole day to the next level. Any curve ball that was thrown Brynn's way she handled with ease, sometimes even behind the scenes because she didn't want to disrupt us or cause any stress. She helped put together the most rock star team of vendors who all absolutely crushed their role in our perfect day. I can't say enough things about this incredible woman, planner, visionary, and now friend! If you do anything for your wedding, hire Brynn!!!!

There really are know words to express much we appreciate Brynn and First Look Events.. One always wonders “Do I really need a wedding planner?” The answer is yes, yes you do. The attention to every little detail certainly would have been missed by anyone else. That being said, when Brynn and her team really went into action was when issues arose. Most times we weren’t even aware of “situations” as they quietly took care of everything behind the scenes. However if we did know of something it was impressive to watch Brynn take care of business. Her work and reputation commands respect from every vendor we dealt with. If we were working with First Look Events people went out of their way to make sure things were done right. Cannot recommend enough!

The best decision I made for my wedding was hiring First Look Events! I have known Brynn for a few years so I was excited that she was going to be planning my wedding. She was very involved in the entire process and made the whole experience very smooth and fun! She really cared about my husband and I as a couple and wanted to really personalize this process for us. She helped us select each vendor for our style and made sure she executed the vision that she and I created together. The week of the wedding we had an issue with a vendor saying they could not follow through with their contract. Brynn was able to make sure I remained calm and had no stress while behind the scenes she was working on coming up with a solution. Within a 24-hour period of hearing the other company bailed, she came up with a solution that ended up being even better than the original plan. We could not have been in better hands. Guests are still calling us saying how perfect our wedding was and how it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Exceptional, may be the only one that comes close to expressing the time, dedication and professionalism Alexandra showed my daughter, myself and every guest. Not only was Brynn was super knowledgeable throughout the planning process but she was very understanding and willing to work with my type A communication style. We had a few incidents on the day of that she took care of right away and flawlessly, so much so that I didn't even know they happened until afterwards! We had a chaotic family event happen towards the end of the reception (understatement of the year) and she was present and able to handle it with grace. I can't recommend First Look enough!

Brynn is an incredible wedding planner and made our dream wedding a reality that we will remember for a lifetime! We worked with Brynn for 9 months to plan our wedding at Bella Vista Estate in Steamboat Springs, CO. When we started the wedding planning process, I interviewed 5+ wedding planners and Brynn really stood out from the rest because of her vast experience planning weddings across CO, incredible design eye to make our wedding cohesive and memorable, and most importantly I genuinely enjoy spending time with Brynn. Brynn helped us build the most incredible vendor team for our wedding - they all went above and beyond to make our day feel like "us". We originally planned to do an outdoor reception given the beautiful views at our venue. However, mother nature had other plans - the week before our wedding the weather forecast was looking grim (cold, rain, and thunder). The Wednesday before our wedding, we made the call to move our reception into a tent. Brynn was literally a life saver and made our Plan B even better than the original Plan A! She helped us change our rentals and worked with our flower vendor (Lori from Statice Florals) to make the tent absolutely gorgeous! I was so stressed about the weather that I completely trusted Brynn and Lori to make the magic happen in the tent. They delivered beyond our wildest dreams - adding gorgeous greenery/drapery to the ceiling and creating the chicest lounge set! The day of our wedding Brynn and the team took care of every detail so that we could be completely present and soak in our wedding day. Against all odds, right before the ceremony the weather turned beautiful, and we had the most magical ceremony and cocktail hour outside followed by a gorgeous, tented reception. We could not be happier about how our wedding turned out and it is all thanks to Brynn and team! Brynn was our wedding planner and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help us plan, ease my anxieties, answer all my questions, and make all our visions come to life! She was there for our field day welcome party and our wedding day and both went so smooth. Most importantly, my husband and I had a blast! Brynn and her team took care of everything behind the scenes, ensured we were fed and had drinks when we wanted them, and took care of our guests. I really can’t imagine our wedding weekend without her!!

We worked with Lindsay for our wedding in July 2022 at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO and she was incredible. My husband and I are from CT, so we weren't anywhere near our venue. I knew I NEEDED to work with someone who was on top of their game to say the least. I'm positive that I would have had a nervous breakdown at the wedding if I didn't have Lindsay. She's the only reason I was able to relax and enjoy the wedding, even with the things that went wrong with our catering/design company, because I knew she genuinely had our backs and would do anything or step in anywhere to make sure we had the best time possible. After the wedding my husband and I talked to each other, our families, and Lindsay about how amazing she was at the wedding (and leading up to it as well). To sum things up in one brief quote, we were recapping with my parents the next day, and my mom said "Lindsay was the best part of that wedding". (I'd like to think the fact that her only daughter got married was a top moment for her as well, but who knows haha) All in all - she's a true gem, and insanely good at what she does.

She was incredibly communicative and responsive throughout the whole process. She had a variety of vendor recommendations but was also open to working with any vendors that we found independently. She brought in unique and fun ideas that we never would have come up with ourselves but were still reflective of who we are as a couple and what we & and our family wanted for the wedding day. Brynn and her team at First Look are worth their weight in Gold! As this was our first and only daughter, we had never planned a wedding before. I was not prepared for the value she added to every step of the wedding. She worked so incredibly well with our daughter-they were a true team. The wedding process was so much more relaxing knowing that she was handling contracts and details, that popped up. She would have stuff handled before it was even considered a stressor. First Look Events was irreplacable during our wedding weekend. If you are looking for a wedding planner, look no further. Brynn helped in so many ways including reccomending venders, helping with selections, timeline, giving advice, setting up and so much more. We had a four day destination wedding event in Steamboat which involved a lot of logistics with venders. She was apart of both the welcome event with 120 guests and the wedding day. I did not have to lift a finger either day which allowed me to truly immerse myself in the wedding celebration. While planning we did have a few unforseen events which were significant, such as our transportation canceling on us less than a month out. Right when we were about to completely panic we reached out to Brynn at 11 pm and she had a solution by 9 am the next morning! Her transportation connection ended up being better than our original one! A wedding is a special celebration. Take time connecting with your vendors to ensure you are surrounded by people you can trust and rely on. If you choose to work with First Look Events they will make your wedding truly everything you hoped it would be and likely so much more!

Look no further- Brynn is the best wedding planner in Colorado (if not on planet Earth). Even writing this review I get emotional just thinking about all she did for us during our planning and wedding day. Brynn helped me transform my thoughts and feelings about how I envisioned my wedding into a tangible, real event. She was supportive, communicative, and my biggest advocate throughout the process. Her design eye is second to none- she is creative and thoughtful and helped direct me on ideas without ever feeling pushy. I always felt like she was really listening to me, and I appreciated that she was honest with me even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear (and she was always right). She really cared about us as people and making our wedding better than we could dream, and we felt that. We took her advice on almost every vendor recommendation and ended up with a team of vendors that exceeded all expectations. During our wedding day she was always there for us without being overbearing or in the way. It was like magic, every time I needed her she was there. Every time I needed a drink she was there. Every time I needed a snack she was there. She was thoughtful with our families and checking in with them as well. By the end of it all, Brynn felt like a friend, and I genuinely miss talking to her so frequently. I trust her implicitly, and you should too! You will not regret booking her!!!

Brynn and her team were incredible - super easy to work with and made all my wedding dreams come true! I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but she helped along the way to send ideas, quotes, and facilitate everything with vendors. All I had to do was say yes or no!

Brynn is an absolute gem! We had some very unique circumstances surrounding our day and she handled everything with grace and energy and love that blew us away! At every turn she was available, attentive and immersed in our day. From sneaking us drinks and appetizers during pictures to shepherding us around throughout the night, we knew that she a handle on everything as were able to be fully present with each other and our guests and not worry if we were sticking to the timeline for the day. We felt like Brynn (& Jackie!!) truly cared about us as people and appreciated that they shared in our tears, laughs and everything in between. This was the most magical day of our lives and Brynn made everything perfect. She is quick on her feet, overflows with beautiful ideas and has a massive heart -- if you don't hire her, you will regret it forever!

I literally couldn't have done this without Brynn! I am not a very decisive person, and she made it very easy for me by giving me a few options for each vendor rather than the 100s that are out there. Every detail at the wedding was perfect and absolutely stunning. She took my initial ideas and really made them come to life, in a truly amazing way. We had a record breaking heat wave at our wedding, and she worked hard to secure some air conditioners for our tent, which definitely saved the day. This was the 5th wedding I have attended that she has been the planner for, so I never had a second thought in hiring her for my wedding. I have been in awe at every single wedding and how well they have represented each couple individually. She is extremely communicative and was available for any questions or crises that I had (which thanks to her there weren't many!) 11/10 would recommend her to anyone!

First look events did an amazing job with coordinating our wedding. Brynn was first point of contact back in 2019 for our original 2020 wedding date. With two postponements, it was extremely stressful as the bride and Brynn relieved those feelings. For the 2022 date, Petra became our day of planner and she was absolutely perfect. She worked hard the months leading up to reach out to vendors to make sure everything went according to plan. On the day of the wedding, I noticed her attentiveness and hard work to make sure everything ran smoothly. So grateful for the first look team that made the wedding day perfect.

Brynn and her team were amazing when she did my sister's wedding, and I knew that she was who I wanted to work with on my own wedding 10 year later. Brynn helped us navigate through COVID-19 restrictions and was always uplifting and positive about the changes we were dealing with. I don't even know where to begin on how amazing Brynn and her team were for our wedding day and throughout the entire planning process! I randomly found First Look Events and I'm so lucky I did! If you're reading this - HIRE Brynn and her team! They were an absolute joy to work with throughout our entire wedding process (even when Covid presented obstacles we weren't prepared for) and brought our vision to life for the perfect wedding weekend that was beyond anything we could have hoped for. From the very beginning, Brynn was organized and kept us on track. She was always two steps ahead, always having answers to our questions and solutions to any obstacles before we even asked - which was a feat navigating unseen changes during Covid. She is responsive, reliable, and an amazing source for anything wedding related. Brynn's also did a beautiful job designing our wedding. Her creativity is incredible! I wanted a traditional but unique wedding and was not great at articulating a focused vision but Brynn nailed it and went above and beyond in bringing our mountain speakeasy theme to life. She did this by creating amazing recommendations and ensuring our vendors understood it as well (even when there were roadblocks from vendors regarding things they were capable of, if it was important to my husband or myself, Brynn somehow made it happen - thank you for the grand exit I always dreamt of!). Speaking of vendors, Brynn has an extensive and incredible list of vendors she has worked with and has strong relationships with. We also struggled with music (both acoustic for the ceremony and DJ for the reception) and with Brynn's help, we had the most beautiful ceremony music and awesome dance party. Day-of coordination was seamless, I barely noticed the time at any point. Brynn and her team kept the whole event moving while having fun with the wedding party along the way. We even forgot a steamer for my dress and of course - Brynn had one! After planning a wedding, I've learned that this doesn’t just happen but rather takes months and months of preparation and takes lots of organization and grace for the day of. Brynn's passion, experience, and knowledge sets her apart. Brynn, we will be forever grateful for your hard work in sending us into our marriage in the best way possible!

Petra took care of us from the get-go. She has a great sense of style, and she incorporated all the elements we had hoped for. It looked amazing. On the day-of, she and Brynn came prepared with everything we could possibly need and made sure it went off without a hitch. The wedding was an unqualified success, with everyone raving about what a fun party it was and how personal the day felt.

We loved working with Alex & the First Look team for the month-of coordination for our wedding. In the months leading up to our wedding, we felt extremely supported throughout the vendor selection process. Our wedding venue was an outdoor blank canvas, which means that we had lots of vendors for everything from catering to bathrooms to a generator. Alex shared wonderful vendor recommendations as well as helpful insights and things to consider/ think about. On the actual wedding weekend, Alex had such a friendly and calming presence! She ran the event seamlessly and helped navigate the unexpected (like a sick officiant). We can’t thank her enough for coordinating and being part of such a special day!

Brynn guided us through 2 years of wedding planning and helped us navigate postponing our wedding due to the pandemic. I don’t have the words to describe how helpful she was during the whole process. If you are looking for a planner don’t bother looking anywhere else because she is beyond talented, kind, professional and just unbelievably good at her job. I actually am speechless with what she was able to do with our wedding, not to mention it was our postponed wedding so there were details from over a year ago that she problem solved. She also problem solved a hail and rain filled wedding as well.
