Jake exceeded all of our expectations as a DJ. He got the crowd tuned in and hyped us to all of the fun games we did, our grande entrance, and even had a few meetings with us before the big day to make sure he pronounced everyone’s names right and knew the timing of the ceremony. I interviewed over 20 DJs before booking with Jake, and we had a wonderful experience working with him. Jake is gregarious and easy to talk to and seems to have an endless amount of high energy. We had a live polka band part way through the night, and Jake was very accommodating with that interlude in his evening. He even polkaed with my ~very~ introverted sister which is a story our family will tell for years! My husband and I wanted the music to be a reflection of the two of us, and nixed a lot of songs and traditions that Jake admitted were common for his weddings, but he handled it beautifully. We commented after that Jake picked up on our taste in music very quickly in the evening, and the music was perfect!

Jake was amazing! He went above and beyond and kept the atmosphere so fun all night! We got countless compliments after our wedding about how great the DJ was! He had a few creative ideas that I had never heard of that he incorporated (like a photo dash) and were a huge hit! From making sure the ceremony sound was perfect to creating a fun atmosphere on the dance floor he was the best! Would highly recommend!!

I first met Jake years ago as he was working an event for my previous employer. What I first noticed was how energetic and positive Jake was. He kept the event upbeat and fun and knew how to bring the party. That very day I remembering telling Jake that if I I ever get married, I wanted him for my Dj. Fast forward to now and after venue and date was chosen, Jake was my first contact. He was amazing to work with and was so helpful with not only music, but our venue set up and our reception timeline. He is by far the best reception mc and dj around. He truly loves what he does and it shows. I wish I could throw another reception just so he could dj again. Also, he is not afaid of the dance floor or a t-rex costume either. Wow!! We cannot say enough good things about Jake!! He made the night SO FUN!! He is amazing at reading the crowd and getting the mood to be right for all of your reception events! Everyone LOVED the reception entrances and the dance floor! The uplighting and dance lights were epic and totally set the mood. Not only is Jake a GREAT DJ but he is also an exceptional human being! We met Jake at a bridal show and knew we wanted him to be our DJ even though our wedding was over 2 hours away. His great personality and energy is exactly what we wanted for our special day. DJ Jake was awesome! He was so knowledgeable and helpful when it came to planning out every song needed and was a breeze to work with! Flash and Sound Events is FANTASTIC. Jake is so detailed and is a true professional. My daughter and her fiancé had to postpone their wedding because of Covid and when Jake was contacted he immediately was able to accommodate our new date. We had a specific song for the father/daughter dance and we just provided flash drive for him. He did the sound for the ceremony, provided BEAUTIFUL lighting and had a specially designed gobo(light) to project at venue. As a DJ, he was SO FUN. Jake was absolutely AMAZING. He had every single detail flushed out before the day, so we had no room to worry or stress. He kept the dance floor going, and played lots of songs that got us all UP and DANCING. Everyone was commenting and complimenting Jake and his ability to keep the party going. I cannot say enough good things about Jake. He even helped us get a GOBO made that had our wedding "logo" on it, and shined it on the wall all night. The perfect touch! We had Jake for our 2020 wedding and not only was he fun to work with from the start, but with having to change dates, sizes, and last minute rain changes he made sure there was no stress throughout it all! We had John as our DJ and he did an amazing job!! The dance floor was NEVER empty. We had the best time at our wedding because he was able to keep it lively. He took requests and was able to switch it up to get more of the parents out on the dance floor. We had met with him and Jake beforehand and they helped us pick some of the dance and entrance songs because we couldn’t decide on all of those and they had a lot of good ideas. Jake was our dj for our wedding and he was absolutely wonderful! He was super easy to work with which made it especially nice since we live about an hour away. He took time out of his day to meet with us before the wedding to figure out what we wanted played. He even made sure everything was pronounced right as far as our last names and our bridal party. He actually cared which spoke volumes to us. He suggested the cash and dash instead of the money dance that couples usually do at weddings and it was so much fun. Like he said, the money dance typically slows things down and we wanted to keep things up beat. Not to mention, I think it brings in more cash😉. I would definitely recommend Flash and Sound! Jake from Flash and Sound is hands down the best DJ in NE Ohio. I have been to many weddings and no one compares to Jake. My sister used Jake as her DJ, and I was so impressed, my husband and I booked him for ours. Why is Jake so great? 1. His music choices are on par and yet he plays requests from the guests. Believe it or not many DJs say they take requests and then don’t actually play them. Jake does. I had a couple requests for dinner music - again he played those. 2. He does great MCing the event - he’s very interactive with the guests and makes it a party. I appreciated that we went through the run down for my wedding beforehand and planned accordingly. 3. Great value, awesome sound, timely and professional. Thank you Jake for helping make our wedding day the BEST!!!

Flash and Sound Events was the perfect choice for my daughter's 4.14.18 wedding! Jake was a professional from start to finish, was very attentive to all my questions, and very helpful in guiding us through the music selection process. He provided music at the church ceremony as well as the reception. The instrumental Disney music he provided at the ceremony was just what we had in mind and he kept our guests on the dance floor all night long at the reception, as well as making all the announcements that needed to be made. At the end of it all, we felt that we had gained a friend. I need more than five stars to rate him!

Jake is hands down the best DJ! He needed to be the guy that kept everything running along smoothly and on time all day and he did just that! He was there extra early. We had a few little glitches with tables not being delivered for him and power supplies but Jake worked it out without burdening us and we are super grateful for that. He kept the crowd up and dancing all night! I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of you.

Flash Sound and Events did a fantastic job at our wedding reception this past Saturday at Greystone Hall! Jake (owner) was our DJ and so easy to work with. He met with us about 2 weeks before to go through everything and helped us come up with some song ideas etc. He clearly knows what he is doing, as his suggestions were perfect! At the reception, we received several compliments on the DJ and how he was keeping everyone dancing! It was a great mix of music. We would recommend him and Flash Sound to anyone needing DJ services- worth every penny! Thanks Jake!

Working with Jake was fantastic. He made planning out our ceremony and reception incredibly easy. He listened to all of our requests, including a couple of offbeat songs for our ceremony. Even though our reception was running late, he managed to play most of the reception music that we wanted and kept the party going. We also used the photo booth and uplighting services, and highly recommend both. We got our photobooth guest book immediately after our reception ended. The uplighting made our venue look spectacular, and all the set up was completed promptly before our ceremony. We would highly recommend Flash and Sound!

My husband Gary and I booked with Flash and Sound for the DJ services for our 9-10-16 wedding. We met with Jake (and his brother who does photography) about a year out from our wedding. Both guys were super personable! We felt like we were hanging out with friends--granted we did meet at a restaurant bar--rather than interviewing vendors. As soon as we got home, we KNEW Jake was going to be the perfect fit for our wedding. We could tell he was passionate about his job and that his enthusiasm would overflow into our reception. Throughout the whole process Jake was super accommodating, throughout every last minute change Gary and I made, even right up to the week of the wedding. He was super helpful and made awesome suggestions. At the reception itself, he ensured guests were out on the floor and knew how to engage our more shy guests. We had a couple requested songs and do-not-play songs listed for him, but we let him have control mostly, and his choices were great; we've had guests tell us he played some excellent selections. We also opted to use their uplighting. The reception hall looked GORGEOUS. We asked for champagne and mint, and the mint was definitely blue, but this was hardly an issue, as like I said, it was STILL beautiful. And of course, no one knew but myself and my husband; all that the guests knew was that it looked pretty! Getting a hold of each other sometimes was the only difficult aspect of working with him. We both had weird schedules--myself with two jobs, and him with a radio job--which sometimes made us play phone tag, but we always ended up reaching one another and thoroughly discussing every detail. We would 100% recommend Jake from Flash and Sound Events to ANY engaged couple planning their wedding. He will bring his many years of experience and excitement for his work into your reception and you and your guests will have a blast!

Jake was great. He really knows how to get people engaged and out on the dance floor. Both friends and family were out on the dance floor the entire night and it was a great time! Additionally, Tyler was our photographer and he was fantastic. We had a great time taking pictures and the ones I've seen so far have been great!
