Fleur De Lis Floral Design laid its roots in Downtown Baltimore 30 years ago. Known as one of the premier, custom floral shops in the city, we have established deep connections with the businesses and individuals around us. We know many of our customers by name, which flowers they like, and share their joys, triumphs and sometimes, sorrows. We are always here to listen and help create the right arrangement for you, no matter the occasion. We've also built great relationships with local growers and enjoy supporting them by using locally sourced flowers wherever possible. reating pieces is amazing. We had vague ideas of color schemes and elements we wanted, as well as specific flowers we wished to avoid. We love bright and bold colors, but didn't want our wedding to look garish. We were able to work with Lana, going through the options to figure out what really drew us in. She has internalized, encyclopedic knowledge of what will be in season, what colors will go together, and what will clash. When one option won't be available, she comes up with an alternative that works just as well. It's fascinating to watch her put together a floral selection in real time based on the vision we provide so we can get a sense of the end product. And Lana's talent extends to the floral accessories as well for centerpieces and table settings, providing helpful thoughts on the right vases, votives, and lanterns to use. She has a helpful proposal page that lays out the colors, the specific flowers for each element (from the bouquet to the chuppah covering to the table with the guest escort cards) to make sure all the bases are covered (though you certainly don't have to buy flowers for all of them), and offers multiple consultations leading up to the day to make sure you are happy with the plan!
This bride adored her cascading bouquet bursting with sunset colors, and the lovely picasso lillies Lana recommended for the groomsmen provided just the right complement! The chuppah was decorated beautifully and made our ceremony that much more special. Our reception concept was "enchanted forest," and the blooms and curly braches dotted with votives made the most remarkable table decorations. We would have been completely lost on the synchronicity of the design without Lana's help. The final result just blew us away, and it was amazing to see our vague vision come to life! Our guests were in awe as well--we received so many compliments on the flowers. We were so so sad that we could not take all of the centerpieces and our floral decor home with us because they were so magical. We were so thrilled with Lana's work and can't wait to patronize Fleur De Lis again.

From the initial planning stages to the final execution, Fleur de Lis was incredibly helpful and accommodating. When we first consulted with Lana, we were unsure about a number of details. Our venue was very stark black and white, and therefore, we didn't have a set color scheme. We also had some specific floor decorations that we needed. Lana was able to handle all of that, and provide us with a bunch of options that worked, all in one meeting.
The floral arrangements were nothing short of spectacular. Each bouquet, centerpiece, and detail was meticulously crafted with fresh, vibrant flowers that added an enchanting touch to our special day. The attention to detail and artistry in their work truly made our wedding feel like a fairytale.
Moreover, their professionalism and responsiveness throughout the planning process made everything seamless and stress-free. Fleur de Lis went above and beyond to ensure that every floral aspect was perfect, and their dedication to creating an exquisite ambiance was evident in every petal.

When I started talking to florists, I didn’t even know if I wanted to have flowers. I was getting married at an expensive and very beautiful venue (the George Peabody Library) that is so gorgeous I didn’t know if I needed to add flowers at all. Also, I was totally uninterested in the aesthetic details of the wedding and had zero ideas of what kind of flowers would even look good. Still, my planner convinced me to at least talk to a couple of florists and see if I could find someone who could create floral arrangements that fit my (extremely low) budget.
Turns out, she was right, and Lana was just the woman for the job! We worked with her to come up with a GORGEOUS simple garland for the ceremony, pretty bouquets that perfectly complemented my bridesmaids’ mismatched look (and were then repurposed for the reception), and simple but very pretty table decorations. During our initial call, Lana was already coming up with great ideas for what we could do, and she executed them perfectly. I showed her examples from her Instagram and website to explain what I liked, and she built off that to come up with arrangements that I loved.

Christine Rubin from Fleur de Lis is prompt in responding to all of your inquiries and requests, whether it be billing, updating details of your wedding-day flowers, or following up before the wedding to properly execute your vision. Everyone raved about the beautiful bridal and bridesmaid bouquets and unique reception centerpieces. The bridal bouquet was a large nosegay and quite heavy! The bridesmaids bouquets were slightly smaller nosegays, yet still big and beautiful. Christine was also nice enough to allow us to use wine bottles for our centerpieces instead of charging us to use her own containers. Christine, Lana, and the team at Fleur de Lis arranged roses, baby’s breath, and other flowers and leaves to fill three wine bottles per guest table to create a unique and full centerpiece. A lot of the guests scrambled to take home the beautiful flowers at the end of night.

e would go into the meeting and they would say "what do you want," or "what kind of flowers do you want in your bouquet?" I always felt like saying, "I don't know. That's why I am looking for a florist to make these decisions for me!" When we went into our meeting with Christine, we told her our vision and feel of the wedding and she started pulling out flowers and putting them together. She even suggested fuzzy fern type leaves to go with our "anthropologie" feel. She showed us actual examples and then determined what we liked and didn't like based on what she pulled. She then sent me home with a bouquet of flowers that we discussed to think about. For our tasting, she made sample centerpieces (1 tall and 1 short) that were full blown. I could not believe it. They were huge and stunning, and our caterer was even shocked. I was glad to get the samples because I realized the coloring was off. Christine and I met a week later and she ordered in more flowers based on my feedback! She showed me some new ideas and sent me home with yet another bouquet to look at and think about. The week of the wedding, I stopped in to drop off a brooch for my bouquet and she showed me some of the things for my wedding they were putting together already. She even took the liberty to order additional flowers on the fly (that we had not discussed) for my bridesmaids bouquets after seeing them finished and not being 100% happy with the results. You will be able to tell in your initial meeting that Christine is a perfectionist. I fully trusted her and Lana to deliver on my wedding day and I was overwhelmed at how perfect everything looked. Lana even decorated our placecards table with blown roses and dripping ferns coming out of the card catalog drawers. They are true artists of their craft!!!

so much fun to work with. At our first meeting she spent so much time going over every single detail of my wedding to get a better vision of what I wanted. My wedding was a unique vintage style with a "perfect chemistry" motif, and she helped find ways to incorporate all of my personal elements and props into both the ceremony and reception. She was always so patient and supportive if I had additional ideas, and just made the whole experience fun and effortless! And she always seemed to know exactly what I wanted, even when I couldn't find the right words to describe it. Christine was incredibly helpful, and she has such a talent for arranging flowers. I was really very concerned that my bouquets would look generic and boring when I was searching for a florist, and after meeting with Christine I immediately placed a deposit down. On the spot she had created a gorgeous mini-bouquet after we talked about what I was looking for, it was incredible. The flowers were fresh, lasted for days after the even, and were exactly the colors I was looking for, even though I made it difficult by insisting on minimal roses.
