Flikk Thornton Photography, in terms of style, can be described as a form of wedding photojournalism. It's not about investing hours of photoshop, or creating the perfect image, but capturing the perfect moment. The aim is to capture them in their most pure and rawest form. Ideally less staged and posed work, and more organic, relaxed, natural moments. There are many people that aren't huge fans of being in pictures and it makes them feel awkward to be told to where to place their heads and arms. That's where my specialty comes in and 10 years from your wedding day, these images will take you back to the moment, feeling, and joy of that special day, not just a cool photoshopped picture on your wall.

that he felt he was the best one to capture our moment and tell our story.
On the day-of he was prompt, charismatic, and professional and did a good job of making our families feel at ease and comfortable to get as many earnest pictures as possible. He shot getting-ready shots with both myself and my wife, the layout of the venue, the ceremony, group shots with family, candids during the reception and dinner, cake cutting, and more. He offered creative ideas on poses and framing and utilizing the venue and was fully accommodating for all the varieties of shots we had pre-planned for ourselves.
After a few weeks we received tons of photos hosted on his portal which was easy to use and send to family members. Everything was downloadable in a "social media" and full-resolution filesize. I didn't order any prints but I know that's an available offering- for now I've just downloaded the full rez copies of the few hundred photos and am happily sharing with friends and family!

VID. He was professional, positive, and energized throughout. My friends loved having him around, too, as he gave some of them tips on how to shoot on their own phones. We're pleased to have been able to download the full library of shoots from the day for digital albums and sharing. Additionally, we printed some of our favorites through Flikk's website, and they're gorgeous--it's been amazing to have them framed and hung for us to remember every day. We recommend!

I also loved the fact that there was an extra added surprise that I did not expect at my wedding however, it was amazing and I was very surprised. I don't want to spoil it so you'll have to experience it for yourself by booking Flikk for your event. While he was producing amazing photos, he was also very courteous and interactive with my family and wedding party, who also had amazing things to say about him. Flikk went above and beyond what I expected and I appreciate that in quality service. The only advice I would give to customers is to be very patient after the wedding, because it's going to take some time to get your photos. Which is why I had some initial hesitation with hiring my long time friend as my photographer. BUT, I'm so happy I did! Not only was he professional but he added a lot of personal touches. Prior to the wedding, he held multiple consultations with me to ensure I was prepared for the day and that he could deliver exactly what I wanted. I loved that he had a vision for the day! He took photos of things I hadn't thought of because I was so busy. He showed up on time, and well prepared for the day. My photos turned out beautifully and I couldn't be more happy that I chose him. Consequently, I've used his services for every event since then!
