The servers and the buffet style reception that we had was incredible!!! My venue was Dove Meadows and it’s actually tan by the owner. So Ashley did my catering and was my venue owner, which made everything so easy and convenient!! And the pasta and salad bar that we had was absolutely mouth watering.

We were happy with Flipside after our initial tasting but once the wedding came around it the cocktail and dinner courses were even better than we remembered. They provided a fantastic biscuit bar along with an assortment of jams along with fruit for our cocktail hour and the ancho chicken and pasta choices we had during the reception were delicious. They were extremely flexible once we moved from a buffet style reception to plated due to ongoing pandemic situation.

We were recommended to Flipside by a friend, and are so thankful we were! We just used them to caterer our wedding and they were so communicative, flexible, and accommodating throughout the process, especially with changed due to Covid. We ended up having a plated dinner that every guest raved about! The food will definitely be remembered from the celebration. We highly recommend them and can't thank them enough for helping with our special day!

We were told the only things people remember at a wedding are the ceremony, the food, and the good memories, and Flipside absolutely delivered on the food side. We were recommended Flipside Catering to us by one of my coworkers after finding many of the larger names in the Charlotte region to be a bit pricey. Since we are big food lovers and both the bride and maid of honor had vegetarian restrictions, we wanted to be careful in choosing the perfect selection for our reception. Ashley was more than accommodating and easy to communicate with from our tasting, to our rescheduling form April to September (thanks COVID), to being there on our day and monitoring the quality of our buffet to make sure everything was perfect. And it was! Her team was the best, made sure the bride and groom got a plate delivered to them, and all for a more affordable price. The salmon and chicken were both delicious, and we have been devouring leftover sides for a week! Can't recommend Flipside and Ashley enough.

It is difficult to find delicious catering on a budget, and Flipside Catering definitely rose to the occasion! Our meal of Ancho Grilled Chicken, Pulled Pork BBQ, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans, and Brussel Sprouts was wonderful and so yummy. Plus they helped us with bar service as well, which was wonderful!

Food has always been a love language for us and so for our wedding day, we knew we couldn't have the run of the mill wedding fare. Flipside offers so many delicious options for catering. Ashley went above and beyond to help us create a menu that helped us showcase some of our favorites. The truffle fries are still talked about by family and friends! She also helped coordinate so many other details with our linen rentals, etc and was so patient during the way!

Flipside Catering was a great choice for us. They had lots of options and very reasonable prices. After a tasting at their cafe, we decided to go with 3 passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour and surf/turf and pasta bar stations for the reception and were pleased with the way it all turned out. Ashley, the catering manager, was fabulous to work with -- very accessible and friendly. The only hiccup was no knives to cut the prime rib -- somehow they were left off the rentals subcontract they arranged and no one caught it (including me and my wedding coordinator). It was a minor thing that didn't detract enough to knock my rating down from a 5!

Flipside catered our wedding and we could not have been happier with the food, the service, and our overall experience. We wanted upscale Mexican food, and Ashley was SO helpful with creating a menu that fit our specific requests- and it turned out to be so delicious! Our guests raved about how good everything tasted and how unique it was. Ashley was also super accessible during the planning process, and answered all of my questions in a speedy and efficient fashion! We had our first date at the Flipside restaurant and we thought it would be "cute" to have them cater our wedding 2.5 years later- it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made wedding-wise!!

WOW. Working with Flipside was so easy! Not only was the food at our wedding amazing, but the presentation and delivery of everything was beyond anything I ever could have asked for. Ashley was so easy to work with and get in touch with, and she knew the business well. The team played a huge role in our day being so perfect. The food was absolutely amazing- we're still getting comments about it 2 weeks later! They went above and beyond to make everything perfect. I knew we were having mini desserts, but I didn't know they would put so much effort into the presentation. It meant so much to us that they thought of all of the little details. To my knowledge, everything went off without a hitch. If something did go wrong, I don't know about it and that's exactly how it should be!

Greatest wedding food ever! All of our guests loved it all! We had a very unique menu of trout and quail, but EVERYONE finished their plates! The servers were kind and excited to be there helping us celebrate our day. Wonderful job, Flip Side!

Amazing. That’s how we and our guests felt about Flipside catering our wedding a few weeks ago. Ashley was amazing to work with from the start. We wanted some really cool passed hor d’oeuvres to start, a more non-traditional wedding dinner menu and some passed out late night snacks. They delivered! We had pork belly, shrimp and sweet potato options at the start, some carolina crab cakes, sliders, truffle fries, sweet potato gnocchi, chicken pesto pasta, two types of salad served in stemless martini glasses and several other really cool options for dinner. Around 9pm, they passed out a late night snack - chicken and waffles/syrup in these little cones - our guests LOVED them! I cannot say enough how great the overall food experience was and how easy they were to work with, both before, during after after the tasting. The other thing Flipside provided was the bar service since our vendor allowed us to provide our own alcohol. The bartenders were amazing - the guests were all raving about how friendly they were, their ‘heavy pours’ and how fast they were. They made special drinks for my mom and aunt and were hugging them by the end of the night - the personal touch could not have been any better. Every staff member that came the day of the wedding was friendly, professional and really interacted so well with all of our guests. If you are looking for a local catering option and want to steer clear of those big commercial catering companies - I HIGHLY recommend that you check out Flipside - you won’t be disappointed!

The food was good, but the event management was extremely poor. The event manager was very disorganized and didn't have notes of menu changes that we had made. She also made multiple rounds of mistakes on invoices that would have cost us an additional $500. She made multiple large mistakes when renting china and glassware including vastly underestimating the amount of glasses we'd need as well as not ordering dessert plates or forks. The wait staff asked my brother in law what he ordered, he told them that he ordered the salmon and they said "well, you can have chicken or steak." My wedding planner ended up helping the wait staff because dinner service was exceedingly slow and guests hadn't been served and their food was cold (including the family of the bride).

Recommend Flipside Catering Company We used Flipside this past weekend for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Ashely was great to work with. She listened to what I had in mind and proposed a menu that was spot on. She was very thorough with all the pre-event planning. We were very pleased with the outcome and with the quality of the food. We had a "comfort" food buffet for ~45 folks. Our guests raved about the food, especially the smoked brisket and the mac-n-cheese. The presentation of the buffet was beautiful, the onsite staff (Kristen, the lead server, and Isaac, the bartender) were great and worked well with each other, with use during the event setup and with our guests during the event. I would definitely recommend them if you need a caterer in the Rock Hill/Fort Mill area!

Ashley and her whole crew at Flipside did an amazing job catering our wedding! All of our guest LOVED the food, we got the taco bar to go after the wedding, and I have to agree that it was amazing! Not only was the food amazing, but their set-up was unique and one of a kind (which is exactly what we wanted). Ashley was very helpful in helping us plan our big day. She had a helpful answer to every questioned we had. I would highly recommend Flipside Catering Co. for your wedding!

We are so glad that we found Flipside Catering for our wedding!! Ashley was great to work with, and we had so many of our guests tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The presentation of the food looked fantastic, and the staff was so attentive and friendly. We would recommend Flipside to anyone!

Couldn't have imagined my big day without them. Ashley is amazing to work with. The food was outstanding. Their presentation is so beautiful. We got so many complements on the food. Would recommend them to anyone! I seriously can't go on enough about how fabulous they were and how great the service is.

We had gone to a couple of parties where they had catered. Every one of them the food was outstanding, so we decided to hire them for our wedding last weekend. We had about 110+ at our home. I can't say enough about them. WOW! the food was outstandingly delicious! thank you Chef!!! and my kitchen was spotless! The staff was professional, efficient, and FUN! The bartenders were fantastic, the servers were on top of keeping plates filled and managing all the people. At the end of the evening, everything was clean and tidy! What an amazing experience!!!

I love everything about Flipside from the catering manager, Ashley, to the delicious food we all got to enjoy at our wedding! We wanted a brunch themed wedding and I had some pretty specific ideas in mind (thank you, Pinterest) and Ashley made them all come to life well within the budget we had set. We did a buffet-style and had shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, a bacon bar, mason jar salads, a gorgeous spread of fruits, cheeses and charcuteries and the most delish apps during cocktail hour! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing the food was - even weeks later! I highly recommend this caterer to add a touch of southern class to your event!

I feel like there just aren't words to truly describe how happy we were with Flipside. I've always considered myself a foodie so picking a great caterer was extremely important. I knew from the first meeting with Ashley that this was going to be amazing. I had asked them to do something different by incorporating lavender into my food and they created an entire menu around it that brought me to tears. I had always dreamed about my guests raving about the food and literally everyone told me it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. I thought the pricing was super reasonable and the amount of food that we got was incredible. We had a ton of leftovers. I'm convinced that no one can top the quality, presentation and price of their food. Not meeting with them would be a huge mistake. I will use them for any occasion I possibly can in the future.

Mel and Ashley from Flipside were great to work with, and the food, waitstaff, and bartenders were amazing on the day of. We are food bloggers, so food was a very important part of our day, and our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. Mel and Ashley accommodated our kosher-style wedding with ease, and dealt well with last-minute changes to vendor meals. Flipside does not make food that tastes like typical wedding food, or what you would expect when feeding 160 guests--their food is truly delicious and exceeds all expectations. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Wow! We could not have been more pleased with a caterer. Flipside exceeded our expectations on every front. Without exception, every guest commented on the outstanding food and beautiful presentation at our wedding. We had passed hor d'oeuvres and a cheese charcuterie spread during the cocktail hour that included grilled shrimp, crab cakes, and pork tenderloin bruschetta. The dinner included 3 salads, shrimp and grits, short ribs, and fried chicken. Our wedding theme was rustic chic and the food tables were decorated with burlap, pumpkins and gourds, and various country accessories. Food was served in cast iron vessels that set off the wonderful product. Everything was very well prepared and tasty. The flash fried Brussel Sprouts were a favorite as were the mashed potatoes. The service was coordinated by Heidi who was very calm and efficient in making sure the event ran smoothly. They even coordinated a late night pizza bar before the guests departed which was greatly appreciated. Flipside should be the only choice for catering in the Charlotte area!!
