Emily and her assistant, Joe, were fantastic. They did a great mix of candid-type / photojournalistic photos and traditional portraits. The best part of the portraits for us was that they didn't waste time getting every little detail perfectly in place. This may sound like a negative but in fact, we were all so relaxed our pictures turned out perfectly natural and honest. Less fake smiles, awkward poses and more truly great pictures. I don't know how they did it but our wedding was outdoors in northern MN on a cooler 55-60 degree day and they made our bridal pics look warm and inviting. They captured the perfect mix of end of summer warmth and the beginning of fall crispness that I was so hoping to catch. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I can't emphasize how much my husband especially appreciated the lack of "posing" we did. He hates being the subject in pictures and it was amazing to see him loosen up completely under their relaxed direction. 5 stars, if I lived closer to MN I would have her do all of our future family portraits in a heartbeat.
