We are not huge “flower people,” so we really relied on Sal’s expertise to guide us—and he completely exceeded expectations. On that first call, we shared some colors we liked, a few Pinterest ideas, and general details like guest count and bridal party size. By the end of the call, Sal mentioned he’d send over a mood board the next day… but within two hours, we received a 10-page PDF outlining his vision for our entire wedding. What really stood out was that he didn’t just reuse the inspiration photos we sent. It was clear he truly listened, found his own inspiration, and created something unique and thoughtful. He even included multiple options for areas where he wanted more direction, which was incredibly helpful and gave us ideas we hadn’t even considered. Throughout the planning process, Sal was extremely responsive, collaborative, and honest. He never tried to upsell us—instead, he guided us on where to invest and where we could scale back to stay within budget, all while still elevating the overall look and feel. He even suggested ways to repurpose some of the more expensive arrangements in different parts of the venue, which was such a smart and helpful way to maximize our budget. On the day of the wedding, I didn’t have a single worry about the florals because I knew Sal and his team had everything handled—and they absolutely delivered. Every single piece they created was breathtaking. He took everything we discussed and elevated it in a way we truly couldn’t have imagined. Even other vendors were complimenting his work and saying they hoped to work with him again in the future. You can also tell he prioritizes quality—Sal was very clear that if certain flowers weren’t in good condition, he wouldn’t use them, even if requested. That level of honesty and commitment is so rare. He’s not someone who will just agree to everything to secure business—he’s thoughtful, realistic, and works incredibly hard to make sure you are genuinely happy with the final result. We could not recommend Sal and Flora + Dean more highly. If you’re looking for someone who is talented, trustworthy, and truly passionate about their work, he is the best choice you could make.
