I stand behind my knowledge that the flowers were gorgous. This is perfect example of what happens when a bride has a clear vision of what she wants, then makes changes based solely on budget restraints. Please let me explain. First, I must must respond to some specifics in the review. I did inform the bride of my previous engagements and did introduce her to Gina at the first consultation. Gina has over 30 years experience in the floral industry and she is more than capable of handling any wedding event. Perhaps the bride just forgot this introduction and the fact that I told her Gina would be servicing this event. I reviewed the wedding contract and found that we did talk about peonies and ranunculus. I informed the bride that these where very premium flowers for this time of year and if we could get them we would have to buy them by the box from Holland. We would have to purchase @60 to 120 peonies and @120 ranuculus. I was told this was way over the brides budget. Totally understandable. However there is only one flower that looks like a peony and only one flower that looks like a ranuncules. The Bride then cancelled all the centerpieces and cut the attendents bouquets by over %65. As a result the "pink" peonies for the attendents bouquets were change to something that was similar to compliment the bridal bouquet. "Use flowers that are in season and not very expensive", I was told. The colors of the wedding were champagne and ivory. I found that the rose named Sahara was the best choice. It has a very soft ivory, champagne coloring with a very soft pink underhue. I did find one bunch of pink peonies that I was able to bring in for the Bridal Bouquet. I stand behind the quality and freshness of our product and am very offended by the accusations that we used old flowers. This is simply not true. I personally approved substitutions with the bride for all flowers in the bouquets that where delivered for the wedding. I also ask on my contract that each bride contact us the Monday before the wedding to confirm details, times, etc. The bride failed to do this. If she would have followed our suggestions perhaps we could have clarified her selections one more time. In conclusion if a bride has a clear vision of what she expects her flowers to look like and then changes the type of flower because of budget restrants, it is going to look different....it just will. Not worse just different. Said another way; if a bride expects champaigne then changes her mind and orders something that just tastes good....hopefully she likes bud light... I feel terrible that Kaitlyn did not understand the difference in the look for the substitutions she approved. I must say that this is the 1st in over 500 events that the bride was not totally pleased!
