When I was pretty new in the field when a friend of mine asked me to do her wedding flowers. From there the passion was born and my work as a florist took off! Now, I work with couples and wedding/event planners to bring the specific vision to life. I love being a florist and I spend my off days practicing, trying out new techniques, and even teaching the art of floristry to others. For me, flowers are a way to bring an event together, by creating a welcoming, cohesive feel throughout the whole venue. I love showcasing the couples' personal style through each design that I do! I had her do my own and my wedding party's bouquets/ boutonniere / corsages, as well as a few statement pieces and bud vases for the dinner table. They were all stunning! She supplied the bud vases which took a lot off of me, and they looked so luxe and more expensive than a just the typical bud vases I often see. She differentiated the statement peices and everything had a place. My bouquet was GORGEOUS; I am not very picky so I sent a few pictures and she came back with better than I thought I wanted. She was also easy to work with. She got to the venue before I did day of. The booking process was great- I sent some inspo and she sent a price break down and plan for what she would do. There wasn't a ton of communication in between booking and day off, but that's because there didn't need to be any; I think we both trusted each other. Overall, she added so much to the day and space without breaking the bank or being pretentious. I loved my experience!

the florals because the inspiration she sent us matched perfectly with what we wanted, but when the florals showed up, it looked nothing like them. They weren’t completely terrible but for how much we paid, we were not happy at all. We had asked for pheasant feathers in our florals and I didn’t see a single one. Our main color was a Cabernet/ dark red and instead she used a bright neon red. She told me that if she used faux roses they would last longer and you wouldn’t even be able to tell a difference. You in fact, could tell right away looking at them that they were fake. I appreciate her attempt to create our cake topper that we asked for but if I recall, we had also asked for cake flowers as well, and there was none. The topper was not what we had expected either. Additionally, the mother’s corsages were on these very thick gold bands and it did not match a single thing at our wedding. If she was going to use those thick gold bands, it would have been nice to know—typically it’s just like a hair band that is used. Not sure what happened but I ended up just using my bouquet from fern and sun palm that I had from my bridals which I LOVED.

It’s impossible to say enough good things about Lizzie. I had difficulty working with the first few florists i worked with, so randomly picked her name, out of many, from a Google ...

search. I gave her some information about desired flowers and the wedding colors. She listened intently. I asked her if she would be willing to meet me at a coffee shop, cause I had so much trouble talking to people over the telephone, and she showed up as promised, and was well prepared with many options in the three wedding colors. She nailed the red wine color on a design sheet, and communicating with her was a breeze. She allowed time for me to make a “yes” decision, after a few days, and then immediately began to search for the black & white lillies, and some beautiful red-wine roses. The end result, which she set up herself at the venue, was breathtaking. Beyond words. She somehow managed to create exquisite elegance, that blended with the contrasting Halloween decor. A tall order. I overheard several conversations, from various guests, all over the venue, about the unbelievably stunning flowers! She is so creative and artistic!
